I’ve been using the Samsung SSD for a few months now, and it’s been a game-changer in terms of speed and reliability. Whether you’re upgrading from a traditional HDD or replacing an older SSD, the performance difference is noticeable right away. Boot times are almost instant, applications load quickly, and file transfers are extremely fast. Samsung’s SSDs are known for their durability and long lifespan, and this one lives up to that reputation. It also comes with Samsung’s Magician software, which is helpful for monitoring drive health, updating firmware, and optimizing performance. The only downside is that it’s slightly pricier than some competing brands, but the premium feels justified given the performance and reliability. This a very good ssd for both mac or Windows, I use this for my new iMac 24” that only has 256GB, it’s very fast, light, premium looking design. It’s a must to have, 1tb for only about $145, that’s a steal.

I initially bought this SSD as a backup for my TimeMachine on my Mac. However, I’ve also been able to use it for my Logic projects. A few weeks ago, I purchased a new Mac, and this SSD left me in awe. It transferred all my old Mac’s data to my new one in about 15 to 25 minutes. Even the Apple Genius specialist was impressed. I highly recommend this product. If you’re concerned about the color, it blends seamlessly with the Space Black Mac color.

Needed a faster drive as photos and videos are taking up more space as resolution increases and my data was trapped in the cloud somewhere. I bought this drive thinking it was a temporary fix and it turned out to be a godsend. There are faster drives available BUT… many are rated at 25%-30% of the total read/write cycles of this drive meaning they’ll last 25%-30% of the estimated drive life. It’s fast enough to do anything an intermediate user would need to use with the benefit of password protection and encryption. Just make sure you don’t lose your password if you activate one, not sure if you can recover it if that were to happen. Password protection and 750-850 Read/write speeds on my Mac (750 read on my M1/850 read on my Intel model) make it 10x faster than my old external WD HDD and I’m future proofed for years to come. Excellent value and performance. I usually shoot for the stars when buying new components but this purchase had NO Remorse associated with it. I actually want to gift one to everyone I know who has had issues recovering media from their phones or clouds. It can download entire albums in record time depending on the size of your library. I’d highly recommend this product and will probably be buying 1-2 more in the near future

Super small & light. It's a solid product, but it scored much higher on my PC running CrystalDiskMark compared to running the Blackmagic disk speed test on my M1 Mac Mini. Read speed: 1,044 MB/s vs.696 MB/s. Write speed: 942 MB/s vs.743 MB/s. Strangely, it scored higher on the write speed compared to the read speed on my Mac.

I bought this SSD 1TB external hard drive for my wife to store photos and videos so that she can free up her C drive. The size is incredibly small but it is fast and she loves it.

I caught this on sale, great buy! I use it with my laptop/mobile DAW for storing samples and music files. Write speed is fast enough for my use, small yet sturdy build. Has a premium feel to it. I will definitely buy this model again with more storage.

Very compatible, good in battery life, elegant design, true colors, I was about to buy ipad pro but definitely took a right decision with S8, it's cheaper and works like charm, everyone who works or study or fun this one is a game changer

I’ll start off by saying that you CANNOT run Xbox Series X/S titles from this device. However, you CAN run regular Xbox One games from it. I use it on my new Series X console and I figured out that it’s best to use this to store all of the Xbox One/360 titles on and the next-gen Series X/S on the internal drive. You can, however, store the next-gen titles on here, but again you CANNOT run the next-gen titles form here, only the previous-gen ones. Still a great SSD with good storage, and real-time transfer speeds of about 2.5 Gbps. Solid purchase.

This is a very convenient form factor, it is fast as well. I have several now and they are connected to my Caldigit Element 4 hub . It is connected to my 14" MacBook Pro M1 Max. The Samsung SSDs are nice as I can connect them either to the the 3.2 USB or Thunderbolt 4 ports on the hub.

This was my first time purchasing an external SSD. I have been very satisfied with the product. Wish I would have bought the 2T version. I keep all my media files on this and have never had an issue running Light room, watching movies, or listening to music while this is plugged into my laptop.

Has been tossed around in my backpack quite a bit and now I don't have to worry as much as my old spinning external drive I used to carry around. Transfer speeds are amazing! Well worth it and great value!

Good price, great storage, compact. All around good product. I used one for external storage for my PS5 and one for my computer.

So far so good with this storage device. I use it to make backups of my MacBook using Time Machine. It works great for this purpose. I have not had any issues with it yet. I like that it is small and easy to use. I would say that the price of this SSD is pretty good. Not too expensive. Overall, I would recommend it.

Great external SSD for pc or phone alike great for transfering information from pc to phone and vise versa on the go just download to SSD and go.

I had several external hard drives and was looking for one that was a SSD type with more room for storage. I am liking this external HD very much! More than enough space for what I need when I backing up my laptop. I am comfortable in knowing my data is secure on it and I like the SSD Hardware Encryption as well. Great little external HD!
