Device purchased new and sealed but has wear and tear right of the box on material and branding already wearing off of some letters. Odd to look used already, otherwise fine.

This drive is meeting all my requirements for allowing me to keep a copy of my important household files with me at all times. It copies quickly, and has a good amount of storage for household files. The slim size allows me to carry it in my front pants pocket wherever I go always allowing me to carry a backup of my important household files, photos and more. It more than meets my needs and I highly recommend it.

Excellent SSD Portable Drive

This SSD Drive is very small and light. Speed is very fast, too. This drive should be up to 550mps but I mostly get 300 - 400mps. Still very fast compared to USB 3.0 Flash drive. Price is a lot higher than Flash drive. But Once you use this, you can't go back.

Astonishingly Fast and Compact

I connect this compact drive to my MacBook Pro using the USB-C connection. It is about the length & width of a credit card and about as thick as an iPhone 8. It has consistently copied my iTunes folder (about 40 GB) from my computer to the SSD in about 4 minutes (super fast). I was astonished when I copied the same folder from the SSD to my computer in about 2 minutes (extra super fast). My Photos Library is about 30 GB and it takes about 3 minutes to copy from my computer to the SSD. I have not copied the same file from the SSD to my computer because it is not necessary. I think it writes about 10 GB a minute and reads 10 GB in 30 seconds. I reformatted the SSD to the Apple File System (APFS) and I do not use the included utilities from SanDisk such as encryption, password protection and back-up. My MBP uses a SSD and I only drag & drop files. These are the only variables I have used and tested.

I use this little drive for my MacBook's Time Machine backups and carry it around in my backpack everywhere. It's fast with backups and data transfers and is very portable. If you're looking for ruggedness, this might not be your best option. Sure it's got a loop to hook to a carabiner or lanyard (or whatever you're carrying your external storage around on these days) but it does feel like it might break if someone accidentally stepped on it. For my usage, it's perfect

If you're looking for fast storage that 's easy and light to carry around with any laptop, tablet (including iPad once update is out in September) then this is the one to get. Transfer speeds are very quick in both directions, its water resistant and fairly shock proof and it even looks fairly cool I think. It's also not too badly priced for the sizes you get, especially when they're on offer.

The SanDisk Extreme makes for a great gift for college-bound students. This is the second one that I have purchased. Plenty of storage for projects and papers. The USB-C is fast! Small, lightweight, and compact makes it easy to toss into a backpack. Highly recommend!

This external drive is extremely small and lightweight so is perfect for travel.
I purchased this drive for external photo storage when I went to China for two months to keep space on my computer HDD free. It has a USB-C port (cable included) which makes data transfer extremely fast. Threw this in my laptop bag and never had an issue.
I also purchased the 500GB model

Great mid to high end external drive that allows for a quick transfer on data for both reads and writes. The price point is good for the performance and it comes with a cord and the adapter for USB C. Can’t go wrong with this model though I do have a personal preference for the Samsung drives if given a choice.

I was going to order another Samsung T5 portable SSD but a friend suggested I try the SanDisk extreme. The SanDisk is just as fast as the Samsung and is more compact. I like the more durable exterior also. I do not worry about dropping it and damaging the case.

I wanted a solid state drive to keep track of all my personal files when I travel. I know I could use cloud services but I still like to have physical back ups. This is super easy to use. It's the right size for my laptop bag.

Very happy with portable SSDs in general and SanDisk SSDs are fantastic products. The capacity is small but the speed is amazing. Nice that these do not heat up or make any noise.

Seems to work well. We had an external hard drive crash and they were unable to recover any of our work product so we choose this to try and avoid that in the future. Small, easy to set up and use.

Love this little SSD drive. It goes everywhere with me. Definitely a little pricey but beats heck out of onboard Apple memory.
