I purchased the Satechi - Slim X3 Full-Size Bluetooth Scissor Keyboard Backlit Keys - Space Gray because I needed a backlit keyboard. At the time I purchased, I had been using the Mac Magic Keyboard. I have fairly good typing skills, but in dark environments, I was constantly trying to type with my hands misplaced on the keyboard, as the Magic Keyboard does not have a very pronounced home key slot for the index fingers and Mac doesn't make a backlit version. I have only had the Satechi keyboard for 1 day, but it has fixed my problems with hand placement (especially in the dark due to backlit capability of the Satechi). The keyboard has power-saving features that will slowing dim the backlight when not in used for a while and automatically turns of the backlight when not in use. I haven't had the keyboard long enough to tell how the battery life will be, but I am expecting to be pleasantly surprised (I will come back to amend if not). At half the cost of the Mac and with backlight functions, this keyboard is a blessing to me. It looks very similar to the Magic Keyboard and if you tried, would probably have a hard time telling any differences. I actually like the Satechi better. I will keep my Magic Keyboard as a backup.

I’ve been wanting an Apple keyboard and after buying this keyboard, it has been working great. The only issue is that it has randomly disconnected from my macbook pro and it takes a while for it to reconnect. Other than, it does it’s job and I havent had any other issues. Definitely a long term keyboard

Another great Satechi product. Multiple Bluetooth connections a must for me; connectied to two compters, iPad and iPhone. Function lock a big plus, my last Bluetooth keyboard did not have. Backlit and a rechanregeable batteries also big pluses. Would buy again.

The numeric keyboard is extremely useful for many applications. This keyboard is comfortable and works flawlessly with Apple MacBook Pro. Excellent quality and long battery life. Quality product!

Looks, works, and feels like an Apple product. I had the black/space grey Apple keyboard but it stopped working and this was a great (and much cheaper) replacement now that Apple discontinued their version.

Overall this is a very good keyboard. It has a very low profile and the scissor keys are second to Apple’s wireless Magic Keyboard. Using this keyboard at work gives me more space than the old keyboard I was using. I have it paired to a Windows PC and have not had any issues navigating with this made-for-Mac keyboard, The sound of the keys is not as defined/tight as the wireless Magic Keyboard, but again, it is second to that keyboard. Battery life significantly decreases when using backlighting, which for me is fine because I easily leave the keyboard charging when I end my shift, ready with a full batter the next day. I use my iPad Pro to supplement my job, and this keyboard is synced to the PC and iPad, which makes it more convenient than using a second keyboard on my desk. It’s nice that in addition to paring FOUR devices, you can also using it plugged in to the computer, which technically allows for FIVE devices that can be used with this thing. Overall I really like this keyboard.

Love this keyboard so much more than the Apple keyboard. The selling factor why I chose this one over the apple brand for my M1 Mac Min was because it had the backlit keys. Both are made out of the same material and look almost idental....it was just so weird to me how high quality the apple brand is and this feature wasn't implemented, missed opportunity if you ask me, otherwise I would have bought the apple one instead.

Good keyboard…. Not really backlit kinda side lit… no problem hooking up with mac…. Got it on deal of the day. Would not pay full price for it

Keyboard constantly goes to sleep after just seconds of not typing. If you stop to think for just a moment before typing more, the keyboard seems to sleep or disconnect, and then when you hit a key to keep typing it takes 15-20 seconds before it will start typing again. Seems to work fine if plugged in, but wireless is poor. Disappointed that this is already out of the return period, I plan on switching to the logitech mx instead.

Excellent Keyboard to replace my mac keyboard. Functions are the same and the buttons are super smooth...

Works great and looks good. I like that I can switch from bluetooth to usb and back without interrupting the connection.

Great and cool looking keyboard! It’s very durable with a low profile, and the adjustable backlighting is perfect for someone with bad vision like myself.

would not hold charge. It had a defect. Was unsatisfied withe the keyboard.
