Customers are satisfied with the OBD GPS Combo Heads-Up Display's brightness and display quality, frequently praising its visibility and colorful presentation. The ease of installation and user-friendliness are also highlighted as significant advantages. However, some users reported inconsistencies in the accuracy of the data displayed. Overall, the positive feedback on the display's appearance and usability outweighs concerns about data accuracy.

Good first HUD

I’ve had this for about 8 months now and the Texas heat is brutal. On really bright days it can be hard to see the display, and is practically useless. There is a reflective sheet you adhere to the inside of your windshield to view the HUD, and from the outside of the car it is very reflective and noticeable, so a smooth windshield look isn’t really possible with this. Good HUD though

Vehicle tried in (helpful to see if it might work for yours?): 2011 GMC Canyon SE with 4 cyl, 2.9L engine
Firstly, this NOT a GPS for navigating - that was not clear to me in the product description, but I was not too interested in that possibility anyway. The GPS feature is strictly for determining time, and the location for speed/distance/direction of travel. And if your vehicle does not support the OBD2 connection, that is all you will get with this device (and maybe battery voltage from the provided alternative cigar lighter power adapter?).
The display unit needs a fairly level/flat section of the dashboard up close to the windshield which is not possible with my truck, and that also would put it right on top of the defrost vent that goes all across the dash right in front of the windshield.
Another fun fact: It seems the projected image is subject to interference with polarization somehow such that I cannot see it at all when I am wearing my polarized sunglasses - some sort of light polarity conflict with combination of glasses/windshield/projection? The provided reflective windshield film corrects that, but it seems somewhat less than fully transparent (did not install to be sure), so its placement, to work with my dash tilt (if I could have put up that as noted above), would put it right in my main view of the lane right in front of me, so that's a no-go.
As for using the OBD2 data from that connection (mine could expose the cable to being kicked when using the brakes), it seems to access mine ok, but the manual describes how to "calibrate" a lot of settings with "trial and error", so not worth the trouble for me, when all I really wanted to monitor, besides the speed, would have been the battery/charging voltage, and MPG readings. I would be better off using my ODB2 diagnostic plug-in with corresponding Android app for occasional readings for that purpose.
Returned.

Factory Install Quality Display

Amazingly this product does what it says it will do. It promises to display a very small data set from your OBD2 data port. MPH, INSTANT MPG, RPM, VOLTS, ENGINE TEMP. It also can run via Data from a GPS. I haven’t tried that mode and probably never will.
Install is just running a flat wire from the obd2 port to the dash. Then attach the display and move it around until the reflection is in a comfy place. Place the included reuseable sticky mat under the display and attach the reflective screen to windshield. The screen is optional, but I didn’t care for the reflection from plain glass. Total install time was maybe ten minutes.
When installing the screen read and follow the directions. Mine installed perfectly flat. Not a bubble in sight.
You can stop right there if you want. I did. Then after a few days I went through the display options and set mine up to show rpm upper left, temp upper right, and mph large and center.
Five stars because this thing is large. The data is floating in front of you on a large easy to read font. And it is BRIGHT. This is my third HUD, and the first one able to be seen even on a bright sunny day.
This is a handy OBD2 display tool,
Definitely not a dim bulbed dud.
Get this Scosche, don’t be a fool,
Priced right, say yes to this HUD.

It looks really nice and it also makes it better when viewing the speedometer so my eye can stay on the road. It glitches out sometimes and does not come on until I am into my drive. The buttons on the side need to be better quality for making adjustments.

I like this display to help assist in driving because it’s in the front instead of looking downward. It took me a bit to figure how to calibrate it to the exact speed as the car. Just read the instructions and adjust option 1 to around 100 to calibrate it. It was on sale at half price.

I have an older vehicle that other HUD s do not work on. I'm impressed that gps works great on this device. It picks up signal quick and has worked flawlessly. Also displays voltage and time nicely in gps more.

I bought it for my 2015 mustang BUT it was a pain to setup and at night it was too bright, didn't auto dim as stated, and during the day I couldn't see it. the reason I returned it really was the fact that it was way too bright outside of the car and sat at an angle with my dash so everyone could see a bring blue and red box in my windshield. also had to manually turn it off and on which annoyed me.

The HUD for the price is fine. Overall it does what it says but is not refined on how it reflect the image from the hud.

Great price for a cool piece of tech. It wasn’t completely accurate/calibrated right out of the box, but it’s not too difficult to change. Can be excessively bright, but that could be a pro and/or a con.

I always wished I had waited a few years before buying my 2002 VW because I love the features newer cars had like the current MPG. This device now gives me that ability and some! Turns off when I turn off my car, turns on when I turn on my car. Sits on my dash and never moves even when covering my window with a shade to block the sun.
Tip: don’t throw away the manual as it has important instructions on how to change the display.

Upgraded from a smaller HUD display & that one only showed the speed, where with this one I have water temp & voltage also displayed. Have lots of options to what I can display. Have it in OBD mode but my son bought one for an older truck & has his in GPS mode & his works great but with a few less features but only one he could find that works right off the satellites & that's a nice feature to work with anything. Sometimes it could be brighter in the daytime & dimmer at night but still good.

This item really never met my expectations. I was looking for a way to mimic a heads-up display I saw on a new series of my vehicle. Unfortunately, this item did not meet the requirements, it slipped around, even though a "sticky" pad is included. The number of cables required makes it a bit clumsy. Perhaps for an older vehicle that has a flatter dashboard and better window to reflect back (reflector is included) this would meet their needs.

Purchased this for my mustang and returned it because it’s not all it is discribed to be. If you are looking for a simple speedometer that works off GPS that all it’s good for, but if you want to connect it to the OB11 it is not accurate at all. Over all it is a waste of money for what it sells for.
