Bought mine for 25$ and installed with a buddy in my 04 chevy impala all color coated wires matched factory radio wires all wires were labeled on my aftermaket harness so matched them together no tools needed harness just electrical tape and two hands the chime i have not adjusted yet the loudness with the dimmer switch but overall it works just fine i read some people had issues with low audio but i put double din boss 6.2 inch amazon used radio in and works fine make sure to take a few extra minutes to make sure your hooking positive speaker wire to positive one on the harness so that when you put it together it sounds good. Overall a great product ease of access to keep door chimes and not have to cut or splice into existing facory wiring harness. Would not recommend buying this unit in store had a pac audio one for 110$ vs 25$ this one does the same thing as the one in store at geek squad car audio installation bay. I got this one even though im not able to use the volume mute seek scan track buttons on the steering wheel, my aftermarket radio has key 1 and key 2 wires i think they hook to the ones on the steering wheel but havnt tried. In store purchase of this unit is catastrophic compared to the price on here online sale price i paid. End of story period.

I used this harness to install an aftermarket head unit in my 2005 Monte Carlo. It worked like a charm. It also has options for 2000-2005 and 2006+ GM vehicle, both pre-amp RCAs and amplified connections. This harness does NOT retain On-Star and the relay is a little touchy so I recommend replacing the relay before installation. Clearance harness plus new relay equals 75% savings and clean install!

I was able to install my stereo with ease. the instructions were easy to follow. I am pleased with the results!

Item leaves plenty of options open and kept all of my factory functions

performed as indicated . instructions were good .Fit well . had extra parts for other stereo that could have been in vehicle which was good even though did not need them .

Pros: - Ease of Use: The kit is easy to install and does what it's supposed to: It allows you to connect an aftermarket stereo without re-wiring your factory harness. Cons: - Price: It is overly expensive. - Functionality: The chimer does not function properly. There are times that the chimer will not stop/start as a factory chimer would. This is highly annoying at times, as the chimer will continue until a random length, even after the ignition is off and keys have been removed. The kit will not work without the chimer, unless you do serious modifications to the wiring of the kit.

Thanks to bestbuy i was able to install the car cd player with no problems works just like factory chimes thanks.

Had the harness installed and everything works....

The chime retention enter face cost more than the pioneer stereo , the stereo turns off from time to time on its own... Although they was out of the one for a 2005, so they substituted this one.

Instructions could have been a little clearer. Had to move a trigger wire for the factory amp. Went to the dealer and got a wiring diagram.

this item was necessary with the installation of by car radio. The clerk was very helpful in choosing this and getting it in stock

installed this kit on 2003 gmc sierra 1500. Every three days my truck would not start. Traced back to interface kit. went out and got a metra 02 interface and had an easy install and used stereo for chimes. People at scosche said to bypass interface and loose the safety sounds and 15 minute of music when key is off.

If you add an after-market stereo in your 2004 GMC, invest in this kit to keep your warning chimes.
