Time machine backup was seamless, plugged it in and it worked. Quiet.

compact, easy to use at great price. has lots of storage and a great addition to my mac mini.

The product works very good with my iMac computer and backing up with time machine.

Needed to move 25,000 pictures and videos off of an old computer and iPhoto and it worked great. I stored them and they are still backed up there but also copied them over to the iPhoto on our new computer. It all worked great and the price was right too.

It was easy to set up for my Mac, and it works fast. No complaints here.

Seagate was easy to set up and has a lot of memory.

As a photographer, who uses Photoshop, I ran out of scratch disk space, and purchased the Seagate external hard drive to free space on my Mac and for more scratch disk space. It's lightweight and very portable, which is handy when traveling with my Mac.

Just like my other Seagate external drive, this one goes to sleep if not used often to save power. Problem is, when it wakes back up, there's a few seconds of delay that aggravates the heck out of me. Otherwise, this is a great drive with lots of space for movies, music, etc. Also much better performance than other non-Seagate products I've had attached to my laptop. Planning to hook this up to a Mac mini before too long, then I won't have to worry about the wait time to wake it back up. II've had no problems with this drive and look forward to many years of use ahead of me.

Do to a recall of my Mac I needed to dump my entire hard drive of 3 terabytes ..then reinstall data,posts n most important family photos/videos..the process was flawless .sesgate instructions n use of time machine worked perfectly

Used to back up my iMac in place of a Airport Time Capsule that crashed. Pretty easy to set up. Unless you need encryption on the whole disk, don't select that option as it greatly increases backup time the first time.

Bought this product to free more space on my main PC, so it can run smoother again.

I recently purchased this external hard drive when my prior hard drive failed. I like this one so much better! It was extremely easy to set up and, better still, I can go into it and find any file I want easily!

This was set up ready to go easy install. Does not make a sound or look bulky sits nicely under the monitor like it belongs there. Great price also

After combing through copious reviews on a ton of product we choose this model. It works perfectly. It was simple & easy to use & secure. If gave us a great deal of relief that our child's pictures & family documents are backed up & safe

I have been a user of Seagate drives for over 20 years now. Drive sizes and technology have improved dramatically over the years, but I've always been able to trust Seagate drives for backups. The few times I've had issues, they've been prompt to replace them. This drive has been no exception. I'm very happy with its capacity and speed.

Love the space this unit has for backing up images, files, etc. I have a 2T also & now, this 3T is my image back-up unit, the other 2T is getting used by Time Machine for my overall back-up to my Mini Mac!
