I own 2 of these and would not advise paying over $60 for 2TB. Get them on sale. I just wanted to put them in RAID1 to have a backup mirror before my external backup. I've never had any problems with Seagate HDDs. They are very quiet too. I recommend this model to anyone! -Mine did not come in any retail packaging, just a sealed anti-static bag when shipped.

Works fine as a backup to my SSD. Priced okay and I'm satisfied.

I purchased 2 of these 2TB HDD's to replace 2 1TB HDD's of which one had failed, so I wasn't going to wait around for the 2nd one to also fail. I'm using these to replace the HDD's in an older 2009 Seagate FreeAgent XTreme 1TB external HDD. The enclosure of these are a tad bit difficult to open without breaking some tabs, but the drive was easily removed and these new 2TB HDD's fit right in. I trided to do so with other WD drives, but the external HDDs control board prevented them from fitting and making connection. Best part of this external enclosure is that it supports E-SATA. So far, I haven't yet written more than 10TB to each drive, but they are working great in an enclosure that is almost 10-years old.

Using this as a storage drive. Works fine. Just remember to keep a backup as no HDD is ever really certain on how long they last. This has been working great so far.

I was expecting a retail box, but shipped safe inside the anti-static bag inside the bestbuy box. Worked with a tester immediately and much quieter than expected. I've chosen Seagate in the past with no problems. Can't wait to install it and start filling it up. Buy at least 2 of them- $59.99 to $66 for 2TB is good! Using RAID1 and backing up to an external.

I like it so much for the size 1st-and the sped 2nd- 7200 rpm is a fast drive just like my internal only it is only a 250 Gig

Good value for the money. If I had my way I’d just invest in an SSD. The price to storage cost is very reasonable.

I use this as my secondary hard drive in my gaming/workstation PC (I have a 500GB solid state drive for Windows 10 and my CAD programs) and primarily put my games and photos/videos on it. It gets the job done and I've had no issues with it so far. You will get a significant boost in load times for games over the 5400 RPM drives. It's the next best option for games if you don't have a solid state drive or if you have one but lack the space.

This Seagate 2TB 7200 RPM drive gives plenty of storage for your photos and videos, or to just back up data onto it. I trust Seagate hard drives and have had plenty of luck with them so far. This is definitely worth taking a look at if you need to store large amounts of data!

This 2 tb hard drive is fast and great for storage backup. Easy setup for starters and has a great warranty
