I use Seagate because it seems to be the most reliable portable hard drive. As a photographer, this is very important. I have many of these and have been in service for a long time. Definitely recommend these.

A no-brainer here. It's fast and reliable. But, by the way, the one I bought is a 5 TB, not a 4 TB.

Just received the drive. Wow. Incredibly small. Powered off the USB port so it doesn't need a separate plug. It was easy to install on my Macbook. Just plugged it in, renamed it, created a folder and then started up Beyond Compare (from Scooter Software). Works great! Not only is it small, it's also incredibly quiet. It seems reasonably fast but I didn't perform any speed tests. I've got over 100,000 files to back up.

Have been using this series as my go-to external “backpack” drive for many years with high reliability at a good price. If you want a simple plug-and-play USB spin drive these are great. If you need SSD speeds this spinning hard disk won’t do it. I’ve never used the included backup software as apple’s Time Machine is the best for macs since it’s native to the OS.

So far this Seagate One Touch 4TB External USB drive has been flawless. I was looking to expand the storage on my Playstation 5, as I used up the internal memory with my first 4 game purchases. Notwithstanding that I wanted to port over PS4 games to continue playing games with my buddies, I needed more space. I picked up this 4TB drive, plugged it into the PS5 and formatted it. Everything has been seamless from the onscreen instructions, to the set up. It makes no sound, it turns on every time the PS5 turns on, it stores and runs games seamlessly. I've set it up to be the goto storage for any PS4 content that I download from the PS Store, it's saved there and played from there. Never had an issue with glitching, slow load times, or anything like that. It's been the perfect solution to my storage woes!

This is a good external backup hard drive. I have used Seagate external drives in the past and all have performed well. This one is a good backup for the money. It performs well and needs no electrical outlet.

Very easy to use. No problems so far. It's like a huge "flash drive".

Reliable and efficient; back up for semester long project

Nice and compact great for extra storage so you don’t take up a bunch of space on your computer. I would recommend for someone that has a lot of videos and pictures.

Easy to setup and easy to use. Just have to be mindful of cable connection if you plan on unplugging and replugging as well as taking along on the road.

Works well and first one I’ve purchased in awhile. I didn’t realize how small it would be, which is a positive.

I used this external hard drive as extra storage for my Xbox and it’s been working great since I purchased it a few months ago.

I originally bought this to clear out my MacBook from adobe files since illustration takes up so much storage but I ended up using it to store my rdr2 game for my ps5 instead since that game takes a whole lot of space. Works and runs the game perfectly no problems! Got it at a good price too. Now I have to buy another one for my MacBook. lol
