I have had this scooter for around ten days, in that time I have found the pros and cons of it. I like the dual shocks and suspension, rough surfaces are difficult on it especially when there are rocks or pebbles, it slides sometimes, just avoid pebbles and rocks. I read lots lf reviews about faulty batteries and I haven't had any issues yet, I only have like 14 miles on it but im not very concerned about the battery, if you are you can get the 2 year replacement thing. The scooter is fast I feel like i frequently check my speed and see that its above 20 mph. On downhills I often go around 31 mph, on really steep downhills i got like 35mph, i would go faster but it auto brakes. I have driven with cars and it really isn't very sketchy unless you have potholes on your roads. Its very heavy and large when compacted. Overall a good scooter, do not buy it for full price though, i got it for $300 on sale and for $650 this scooter is not good.

Great scooter at first, but after 36 days the battery seemed to die. The charging cable still works but when plugged in to the battery it doesn’t charge. Also rear taillight broke after a week or two.

Awesome absolutely love it exactly what I was looking for battery lasts well and the app is awsome only thing I would change is the design of the kick stand it's awfully tippy and needs to be on completely level ground in order for it to stand up on the kick stand maybe one that came down from both sides so it stabilized it and didn't have to tilt to a specific side

The scooter works mostly as expected. In sport mode, i reach top speeds of 19mph. This will drain the battery life significantly faster and you’ll only get about 9-12 miles on a full charge depending on the incline.

The battery fell out and Best Buy was not helpful at all. Picked up 10/10. My nephew didn’t get it until I drove 3.5 hours to give it to him. The battery just fell off of it on 10/21! (Proof with timestamped photos) I’ve been traveling and unable to get to the store . The WON’T DO ANYTHING! Don’t buy from BB EVER!

It’s a pretty fun scooter built to last and has a good bit of control & customization within the app. I will add that it is a bit bumpy on rough roads/terrain and will leave your hands and legs feeling a little numb after a while of riding, but overall, it’s a great tool for going to nearby shops and such. Better than walking! It’s fairly lightweight (comparatively to other scooters) and can be easily folded to store in a car trunk or just to take less space

I bought this so I would not have to drive for quick errands around the neighborhood. Pros: convenient, pretty quick to learn how to use, underside lights are fun and a good safety feature. Cons: disappointing suspension means you have to be ready for bumps or risk hurting your knees, difficult to store (it rolls if you try to stand it upright), and I don't like having to use an app to make my scooter work.

Bought this to be my alternative to riding NYC subway and uses... particularly in Manhattan. My criteria were as follows - range sufficient to cover minimum 20 mile roundtrip in two to four hours (translation - little to no recharging); light enough to be picked up and carried down a flight of stairs; and able to fit into the back of my car sub compact. After much research, this was on sale and fit the bill except for the fit into the back of my car. Not much would really fit in it - so no big deal. Range: As my use of the scooter would entail riding cross town in lower Manhattan, then shooting up the Hudson River greenway to the upper west side, I calculated the range required would be 7.5 to 8 miles one way, depending on route. I also knew that my mileage would vary based on speed, temperature (very important) and terrain. Given the distance - I would be going full out whenever I could, so I estimated a 35% to 45% drain each way in the best of conditions. So in the summer, I was pretty much at 35% each way. In colder temps (early November), 50% each way and I limped home the last block. So - I now charge as much as I can at destination. Weight: With the external battery (not removable) mounted to the vertical bar, most all of the weight is on that bar. Carrying the scooter is awkward - even when folded. I bought a sketchy strap to help carry it in the event I have to carry it onto mass transit. It is very unwieldy so I limit the number of steps/stairs I would carry it. But overall... it is not bad as it is under 40 lbs. Ride: Solid tires. Not pneumatic (no air). Thats good - I didn't want to have to deal with a flat when miles away from home with no support (no family/friends nearby to pick me up). Downside - very stiff ride. There is a 'suspension' but it is focused only on giving the front tire some movement when impacting something. Which when it happens - is startling. It is a loud 'bang' that everyone looks to see where it came from. I'm used to it - but no one around me is. NO brakes. NO real brakes. It uses the motor to slow down - kind like throwing your car into a lower gear to slow down from full speed. No disk brake. Your back foot is your other brake - stomp on the splash guard (yes, that's the instruction) to stop the rear tire spin. A lot of practice to make it part of muscle memory. Too many times bikes ahead of me stop suddenly and I couldn't. Cruise control is handy. Given the lack of suspension, I am glad it is limited to 18-19 mph. Overall: This is my first scooter. I have logged 300 miles on it (app has an odometer) in summer heat, torrential rain and now temps in the 40's. As a once, I had my share of blood lettings riding, but much better now. For novices, it is very top heavy because of the battery placement. But it handles my 195 lb weight, plus backpack filled with hot lunches, water and electronics. No regrets as I didn't want to spend much as I wanted to be sure I wanted to use it. 300 miles later and I'm prepping a wrap to keep the batteries warm during winter rides. Oh the charger is UL Listed and trickle charges the last 15% or so to 100%. I only charge it to 100% if I'm going to ride it uptown. Otherwise I keep it at 80% to keep the battery unstressed. Charging is fast when the battery is warm, like any EV. So it will get to 80% pretty quick in ideal conditions and trickle its way to the end.

I love this scooter. No tools needed. Just plug in and play. Folding this baby to fit in the back of a trunk, on the train, or to fit beside me on the bus is so super easy. Already at 100 miles and it's smooth sailing although now. Buy it already.

I was weary of purchasing this scooter after reading other reviews, but its specs and price point made it attractive and I purchased anyways. However, after roughly four months, the external battery failed. (It was my son’s primary mode of transportation at college, so we couldn’t be without a scooter for more than a couple of days.). When I read the warranty it looked like it would need to be boxed and shipped at my expense, so we purchased him another brand that is known for its quality and customer service, unfortunately at twice the price. Unexpectedly, though, the Segway customer service was surprisingly easy to work with, despite a couple of challenges, which is why I rated it two stars instead of one. The customer service rep did ask that I try several other things, including installing a new battery bracket, before sending a new battery, which is understandable, but extends the repair time when seemingly they only respond to emails during the midnight hour. Then they tried to tell me the battery only had a three-month warranty and I had to prove it was a six-month warranty. They promptly apologized and sent the battery, so I’m sortof happy to now have a working backup scooter. But bottom line is that this should have lasted more than four months.

I have one for 1867 days and 182 miles according to the app. I use it mainly for last mile solution, so short distances, but have in a few situations rode it for much more miles than it is comfortable to ride one of these things. I can attest for its durability and definitely recommend it.

This product is a very great colder. Its speed was faster than I expected, but it has very great break. So I think it is very safe to use and easy to control. The battery is large and can use for about three days without charging.
