The model under review, the D40X, is a highly commendable choice for individuals seeking a reliable and efficient starter scooter, especially if their round trip doesn't exceed 10 miles. While the advertised range of 23.6 miles may have been achieved under ideal conditions, such as with a slim rider, favorable weather, and a flat terrain, it's important to consider these factors when assessing its true range in everyday usage.
One standout feature of the D40X is the inclusion of a seat, which can be a significant advantage for riders. However, it's worth noting that the seat does add some weight to the scooter. If you're already slim, this addition may not have a substantial impact on your overall range. Nonetheless, it's worth considering the trade-off between the added comfort of the seat and any potential reduction in range that may occur.
In terms of maneuverability, the D40X boasts a great weight that allows most healthy people to handle it with ease. This characteristic is essential for riders who prioritize agility and control while navigating through various terrains and urban environments.
Another practical aspect of the D40X is its ability to fit in most trunks, providing convenient transportation and storage options. This portability feature is valuable for individuals who may need to transport their scooter frequently or have limited space available for storage.
Safety is a crucial consideration, and the D40X performs admirably in this regard. The front light is thoughtfully positioned and effectively illuminates the road, ensuring optimal visibility during nighttime rides. This feature greatly enhances safety and allows riders to confidently navigate in low-light conditions.
One minor drawback of the D40X is the absence of turning signals, which can be seen as a missed opportunity to improve safety. Proper signaling is vital for communicating intentions to other road users and promoting a safe riding experience, particularly in busy urban environments. Although this is a notable limitation, it's important to weigh it against the overall performance and benefits offered by the scooter.
In summary, the D40X is a highly recommended starter scooter for individuals who require a reliable mode of transportation for round trips of up to 10 miles. While the advertised range may vary depending on various factors, the scooter's performance, maneuverability, and portability make it an attractive option. Additionally, the front light provides excellent visibility during nighttime rides. However, the absence of turning signals should be taken into consideration. By upgrading to the Max G2, you can enjoy the benefits of newer safety features and further enhance your riding experience.maneuver.
It fits in most trunks.
The front light is nicely placed and illuminates the road well at night.
The main reason it doesn't get the full 5 stars is the lack of turning signals.
I'm upgrading to the Max G2 and one of the selling points were the newer safety features.

Hi Will - thank you for your review of the D40x. While the D40x does not have turn signals, as you noted, it is also a bit less expensive with great power, distance, and the bonus seat... so it really depends on what the consumer is looking for =).
We look forward to your future reviews Will!! Keep them coming...

Hi Yang, we are sorry to hear this. We only sell new units to our vendors. What makes you think the unit has been used? Did you buy an open box? was the unit already registered to another user when you tried to register it using the app? We recommend returning it to the vendor to exchange for a new unit. thank you!

Sure! Electric scooters have gained a lot of popularity in recent years due to their convenience and eco-friendliness. Here are some key points to consider when writing a review of an electric scooter:
1. Design and Build Quality: Start by mentioning the overall design and build quality of the scooter. Highlight any unique features or design elements that make it stand out.
2. Performance: Discuss the scooter's performance in terms of speed, acceleration, and range on a single charge. Mention if it meets your expectations and if it performs well on different terrains.
3. Battery Life: Talk about the battery life and charging time. A good electric scooter should have a decent battery life that allows for long rides without frequent charging.
4. Safety Features: Highlight any safety features the scooter offers, such as strong brakes, good suspension, or even lights for night riding. Safety is crucial, so it's important to focus on this aspect.
5. Comfort: Discuss the comfort level of the scooter, including the quality of the seat, handlebars, and overall riding experience. If the scooter has adjustable features, mention how they enhance comfort.
6. Portability and Storage: Evaluate the scooter's portability and how easy it is to carry or store. Consider its weight, collapsibility, and size when folded for transportation or storage.
7. User-Friendly Interface: Evaluate the scooter's control panel or app interface, if applicable. How easy is it to navigate and access important information? A user-friendly interface can greatly enhance the overall experience.
8. Price and Value: Finally, discuss the scooter's price and whether you believe it provides good value for the money. Compare it to other scooters in its price range and highlight any unique selling points.
Remember to be specific in your review and provide personal experiences and opinions. This will help potential buyers make an informed decision.

Easy to setup
Easy to ride
Strong body and pretty heavy. But I am as happy as I am riding a Porsche when I am on this. I am using this just for enjoyment purpose instead of commute. I bet people using it as a local commute will benefit more.
I chose the right model that doesn’t break my bank account and also doesn’t leave me with dead battery on road for little distance, it’s a perfect balance between price and mileage.

I bought this scooter to commute between train station and work. I was surprised that it could maintain the speed in slopes and battery lasts as the manual states. It was a positive surprise how well built and performance for this little one.
It comes with the seat, I tested but didn’t use as I prefer to stand. Anyway looks and feels great if you need to seat.

Solid electric scooter that's great for city rides and daily commutes. It’s fast, reaching up to 20 mph, and can go about 25 miles on one charge. The ride is smooth thanks to its big tires and sturdy build. It looks sleek and is easy to fold up for storage. Safety features like good brakes and lights are included, Love the sound of the ring bell. Overall, it’s a reliable and stylish choice for getting around.

Light weight electric scooter that is perfect for around town commutes. I have had it for just a month with no issues. The seat is super convenient especially for any distance over a couple miles. It has enough speed to pass cyclist in bike lane and in between cars as needed. I have added a Segway phone carrier and highly recommend as it’s designed for these handle bars. I also changed the grips for something more comfortable and colorful to match the hints of orange on scooter.

Great price point! Speedy once in sport mode, has a companion app and even tracks your rides! The seat is kind of useless in my opinion.
