So, I recently tried out the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus and here's my review: Let’s start with the fit. These earbuds come with 3 sizes of ear tips and ear fins. I used the large for both and they fit well. The fin is a great idea, these earbuds never feel like they will fall out. They are pretty comfortable to wear. I did find my ears a little sore after using them for 7-8 hours. However, it's getting better over time as my ears adjust. Pairing / Connecting: I did have a bit of trouble pairing these to my phone (Galaxy S22 Ultra) initially, but after closing and opening the app, and patience, it eventually worked. Also, when you open the App (Called ‘Conversation Clear’) it shows you the connection of both earbuds in the top right-hand corner of the screen by indicating the battery life, I have noticed that at times the app has trouble connecting to one of the earbuds. It seems like this has also got better, perhaps the app updated. No Problem connecting to my computer to use with Microsoft Teams. Worked perfectly in this environment. My favorite so far as they don’t lose the connection by going into any kind of standby mode. These ear buds are designed to be able to switch from a streaming environment to a communication environment to provide the user better clarity of speech and their surroundings. I would say they do a pretty good job with that. They are just a little clumsy switching from this communication feature to the streaming feature. Example; When in the communication mode, and I receive a text or notification, the earbuds temporarily switch to streaming mode and go from amplified sounds to noise cancellation mode, which can make it hard to hear the person you're talking to for that couple of seconds it takes to switch back to communication mode. I had to turn off notifications on my phone when using the communication feature to avoid this from happening. Hopefully this can be addressed down the line with an App or firmware update allowing the phone notifications to come through without affecting the conversation. The App contains three tabs on the top, Relax, Communication and Stream. In Communication mode you have the option to turn speech volume from 0 - 15. There is also a toggle to turn on/off the Clarify Boost mode to further enhance the clarity of speech. (you can further move a slider from smooth to clear to dial in your best sounds according to your hearing.) The Stream mode provides a slider which allows you to choose how much outside noise you want to let in. (more or less NC) The Relax mode essentially closes off the world around you, providing you a quite relaxing environment. You can adjust the outside sound hear as well from 0-100% 100% in this mode reminds me of Transparency modes of other earbuds I own. I recently used these in a Bar (Very noisy) environment, and it did enhance the sound around me. I also felt like I could hear the conversations a bit better at my table. Noice Cancellation works well when in streaming mode. I would say on a scale of 10 they are 8 out of 10. They work great for the office or even airplane style environment, but not as well with a real loud environment such as cutting my grass on my tractor. I do have another set of earbuds that did a better job at cancelling out that engine noise. I realize that is not a need for many but wanted to provide that input. NOTE – Instructions not super clear on this next issue: I was having trouble getting the Play/Pause to work on the right earbud and the assistant to activate using the left earbud. You are supposed to be able to double tap to trigger these functions, but it is not working for me. I then found that these earbuds have both Mechanical buttons and touch sensitive buttons. Once I figured that out, everything works well. Sound for music is good. I do wish they had a bit more bass and a way to adjust that. I was able to get a little bit more out of them using the sound settings within my phone. They do have crisp well balanced mids and highs. I'm just kind of a snob when it comes to bass. Sound on calls / communications are very clear and concise. The battery life is impressive. I get a full day out of them and can put back in the case to quickly recharge. I only charge the case maybe once a week.4 Overall, I think the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus is a solid choice for those that need a little help due to mild hearing loss. They are very versatile for all your audio needs.

    Interesting True Wireless Earbuds

Received the ConCPlus1 true wireless earbuds with speech enhancement, set them up to charge. Charging is completed by placing the rechargeable earbuds into their case and using the USB-C (to the case) and the USB-A into a USB port. I’m assuming the earbuds came with a good charge, within one hour the earbuds were charged to full capacity. Due to the lack of accompanying instructions you’ll need to go into the Sennheiser Conversation Clear app to learn more about the ConCPlus1 wireless earbuds. The app states up to 3 hours for a full charge. Apparently, I was a little out of order with the set up because I downloaded the Sennheiser Conversation Clear app, to my phone, out of order with the instructions, didn’t appear to make a difference. To start the Bluetooth pairing you will have to remove the earbuds from their charging case and follow the instructions in the app. Pairing established a connection quickly. Next you will select the best ear tips and ear fins to suit your needs and for the most comfort. Initial set up was very simple. I found the instructions for adjusting between Relax mode, Communication mode, and Audio Stream mode slightly confusing however it doesn’t take long to learn the controls on the earbuds. Still not sure, that I’m happy with the control processes between the earbud controls and the Sennheiser Conversation Clear app. One of my concerns is with the volume control synchronization between the earbud’s controls and the music streaming device. You want to be cautious when moving the Ambient Balancing Control, when moving the balancing control to the right, of the center position, the volume can increase a great deal, so you need to be cautious. The earbuds will automatically adjust to your surrounding sounds which can be disturbing at times. The ConCPlus1 is like many wireless earbuds, they are comfortable once you attach the best earpieces. Using the Communication mode, with no incoming streaming music, is like many hearing enhancement devices, you will experience a slight hollow sound. The relax mode (ANC) is fair, however not as stealthy as a few other wireless earbuds that I use. When listening to music the volume control on the earbuds will depend on the volume of incoming music device. Using the earbud controls, you can convert from Stream mode (music) to Relax mode or the Communication mode, however, you cannot use the earbud controls to convert back to your music without going into your music device (phone) and restarting the music. Adjusting the music volume using the earbud volume control will move the Stream mode resulting in an increased or decreased ambient sound. Using the music source volume (phone volume) button will not affect the ambience. Incoming calls are simple to respond to and the sound is clear, the caller said the sound was good. Ending the call was not as simple as the directions stated. According to the instructions you can end a call by holding either the left or right earbud button for 2 seconds or tap the right or left earbud button 2x to end the call. Tapping the right or left earbud button would not end the call. The sound customization is limited, however may be suitable for your needs. Remember that the ConCPLus1 wireless earbuds will self-adjust to the surrounding environment. Multiple times there were situations, and specific sounds or sound sources, that caused a different (almost muffled) sound quality. The ConCPlus1 earbuds process sound to improve the listener experience and the clarity of speech. One poor quality of this automatic switching is that you will occasionally hear an abrupt change as the earbuds automatically shift from one setting to another. Not sure that this is a favorable process for me. When I set the earbuds in the charging case for the night both earbuds showed to be seated correctly however the right earbud must have shifted when I set the charging case down. In the morning I placed the wireless earbuds in my ears and the right earbud was not charged. 15 minutes of charging did supply the right earbud with 18% charge. Overall, the Sennheiser ConCPlus1 True Wireless Earbuds are a little expensive when compared to other Wireless Earbuds and again depending on what you are looking for in use. They have great sound when streaming music, ANC is fair, and the Communication works OK for me except for the automatic adjustments to environment sounds. I’m sure with time I’ll find more valuable use for my liking.

    Good Earbuds with Bad Software

I had the pleasure of experiencing the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus Wireless Earbuds, and as someone who feels like his hearing has gotten worse lately, I was eager to give these a test. First and foremost, the Speech Enhancement feature on the Conversation Clear Plus is nothing short of remarkable. If I had to describe it, it would be like those old cartoons where they would use extendable ears in order to hear a conversation from across the room. That being said, conversations were rendered with clarity, and every word was delivered with precision, and at times I was shocked how well I could hear things. It was almost too good in that I could hear coworkers getting chatty from a good distance away from my desk, to the point I had to switch over to the Stream function where I could then listen to my podcast and block my chatty coworkers out with the Active Noise Cancellation that they come with. The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) on these earbuds is a true blessing for anyone on the go or in a noisy work environment. It creates a serene bubble, allowing me to block out the world with music, podcasts. The design of the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus is where I have some issues in that while the actual earbuds do fit snugly, and are comfortable in the ear for long usage and come with extra tips to properly fit your ears. The actual look of these earbuds resembles too much like normal wireless earbuds and had two interactions where the people I was talking with found it rude that I didn't take my earbuds to have the conversation with them and had to explain that they were hearing enhancer earbuds and also bluetooth earbuds for listening to music, which in the moment was a little awkward. Then my other complaint would have to be the button controls not being intuitive and responsive, in that I had several issues with the "Long tap” and the “Double Tap” not registering. Where when in stream mode to play/pause a song you’re supposed to “double tap” the right earbud button, and everytime I would try to do this, it would not register and it would just increase the sound levels causing me to go into the Conversation Clear app to change the volume levels back down. The button prompts are not customizable in the app, so you have to use what Sennheiser assigned as the “Short Press”, “Long Press” and “Double Press”. Note: I did make sure that I was on the most recent firmware update, so going forward I would like to see some updates that will allow button customization. Battery life on these are impressive, lasting about 8 hours. The charging case is on the bulkier side and seems like it could be slimmed down a little. Pairing these earbuds with my device was easy, and the Bluetooth connectivity had zero bluetooth connection issues, delivering a stable connection. Overall, the Conversation Clear Plus does come with a premium price tag, and does a good job with the hearing enhancement, along with being good earbuds for your audio entertainment, but it just doesn't do an overall great job. The app software is truly holding this product back and brings it down. There needs to be some big updates on the software side to truly make this a great product. That being said if you’re someone who has some slight hearing issues who doesn't want to break the bank for hearing aids and still wants to be able to hear things better along with being able to listen to music you might want to check these out.

The Sennheiser name is synonymous with great quality audio products, top tier equipment. This wireless earbuds in all honesty leaves me a bit confused. And after a few days of use, I realized why I was so confused. In my mind, this was a hearing aid and I expected such. But when I came to realize that I don't think that that was Sennheiser true intentions, I started judging the earbuds differently. The long and the short of this, in my opinion is that these earbuds are wireless earbuds with hear-through technology on steroids. So if you are truly hard of hearing and need a real hearing aid, this is not it. But if you are the person that wants and needs to be able to capture more sounds in your surrondings and want amazing audio earbuds, this is it. Out of the box, I noticed that the Sennheiser is larger than all my other wireless earbuds. It still does fit in my jean pocket, but definitely not in the little coin pocket. There is different size eartips and fins, to hopefully fit most people's ears. For me, right out of the box, the fit was perfect and I was very happy at the fit. It was very comfortable but yet snug enough not to come loose and jumping up and down and shaking my head, it never moved. After downloading the app, which I thought was good with extensive control over the earbuds. I was surprised however that during setup, there was no test on noise cancellation or volume on each earbuds like my other anc earbuds has. For earbuds sold as "conversation clear plus" I would think that this test for the user would be important. The audio quality, noise cancellation and battery life is the best I've ever used on any set of wireless earbuds. Phone conversations was amazing as well. Never had any issues from my end or the caller's end. The price and it's "hearing aid" performance is what made me give it 4 stars. If the pricing was a lot lower and not marketed as if it was a hearing aid, this would be one of the best wireless earbuds on the market.

These Sennheiser over the counter hearing aids are nicely crafted. That was one of the things that actually stands out from the many I have used. They look like regular earbuds and can be used as such but have the hearing aid advantage. Setting them up was pretty easy, you first need to download the Sennheiser Conversation clear app and then follow the onscreen instructions. The hearing aids are small and when you wear them they feel just like any other regular earbuds. Due to the ergonomic design they are comfortable to wear for a prolonged period of time. The nice thigh seal feels like noise canceling. When in action they performed very well. By far these Senheiser are the only hearing aids that I have used that sound normal when in a conversion. What I mean by that is the people don’t sound like you hearing from a tin can. They sound just as they would without hearing aids. The same goes for the TV or sound system, and the lows sound just as good. These are definitely my go to for TV watching. When watching TV they sound really great with deep bass. It is like the TV connects to the earbuds. However, your own voice does sound like you're in a tin can just like any other hearing aids. You can listen to music, answer phone calls and even summon voice assistants like (Google, Siri). Music listening they do a great job with a good balance sound and really nice deep bass. As battery life goes they will give you about 9 hrs and additional 18 hrs from the charging case. The case is kind of bulky but small enough to fit in a pocket. It can be charged with USB-C and it does include the charging cable. The app is simple to use and you can adjust all the setting from there. There are 3 different sound controls: Relax, Communication and Stream. Relax will give you a more quiet environment while Communication will be the main one to use. When you are streaming music in the stream tab you can adjust the sound slider between music and background or both. There is something lacking here is a personal prescriptive adjustment setting. Example, during the sound profile adjustment, all you can do is adjust the volume from a pre-recorded conversation. In my case I was able to hear it just fine so I didn’t have to make any adjustments. Most of my hearing issues are low frequency which I cannot adjust the way I can with some other over the counter hearing aids. Overall these Sennheiser hearing aids are good and comfortable but not perfect. It does have the best conversational sound out of any other hearing aids I have used. It has deep base and outstanding outside noise masking. They are easy to use and set up. They are comfortable and the battery will get you throughout the day with no problem. In the box you get the hearing aids ear buds, USB-C Charging cable, ear tips, charging case and manuals.

Wireless Earbuds with Speech Enhancement and ANC

The Conversation Clear Plus over-the-counter (OTC) earbuds are a member of a newer market segment that has the ability to influence the habits and capabilities of marginally hearing-impaired individuals. This feat is achieved at a price point that is midway between premium-priced, professionally-prescribed products and inexpensive, lower capability also-rans. These app-enhanced, specialized earbuds, allow your smartphone to perform normally and utilize selectable, active noise cancelling, all while enhancing surrounding speech intelligibility. The Sennheiser website specifically calls out that these are not “hearing aids” and that if you have a need through loss of hearing ability, you may, and perhaps should, seek out traditional hearing specialists to assist you. I, personally, am not an expert in hearing loss, and due to the nature of reviews such as these, do not unfortunately have access to competing products for a direct comparison. So, the salt you season with should take that into account for this review. The packaging contains the earbuds enshrined in the Shamu-sized charging case, additional tips in the usual three sizes, some extra ear fin sets that help to retain the earbuds firmly in your ears, a USB-C to USB-A charging cable, and multi-lingual instructional, safety and legalese documentation. The specifications claim a nine-hour run time, with the case providing an additional two charges to the earbuds. Recharging the case is expected to take up to approximately five hours. The specifications also call out that the microphone’s pick-up pattern on these units is, “Scene-dependent with automatic control from omni to directional beamforming” to aid in attempting to pin-point and enhance dialog with the intention to exclude extraneous noise. So, you will find that just like unaided normal dialog, your physical orientation towards your intended dialog supplier(s) will matter to achieve the best results. Like many people who are more experienced in age, time can take a toll on hearing, depending on life choices, habits, occupation and maybe even genetics. Personally, I have tried to be sensitive to situations that may lead to hearing damage and have mostly been successful in fending off the somewhat inevitable, considering I’ve earned my living within the audio industry for the entirety of my career. However, there are some types of hearing loss sensitivities that may not stem from sheer past noise exposure alone. There is a type of hearing loss that seems to be most bothersome and noticeable in the presence of ambient noise that causes a sort of masking effect to the ability to discern speech from the ambient clamor. This type of aid-to-hearing device is attempting to help with that situation. Crowded restaurants that have high ambient background noise, gatherings with numerous simultaneous boisterous conversations and other like situations are the environments for which this Sennheiser product is designed. Barbie may ask what she was made for, but these Sennheisers were made for this. In use, my experience in crowded restaurant environments with this product found that after a bit of fiddling and some floundering, there really was improved intelligibility in near-field conversations, but often at the expense of over-emphasizing extraneous noises of a similar frequency band of the prime speech frequencies that are attempting to be emphasized. Walking through a mall for instance, emphasizes things like dragging feet or percussive random sounds that would somewhat startle you if you weren’t on guard for it. I’m sure that with more extended use, comes extended wisdom in regards to adjustment of settings to achieve a more useful balance. Audio performance achieved in these earbuds, as in any earbuds, is heavily dependent on the ear tip seal achieved and fortunately these were supplied with tips that afforded me a good seal. I found the quality of audio was very good, perhaps not the “greatest ever”, but very good quality. Sennheiser has had a history of creating great audio, especially very high-quality microphones. I can’t say to what degree Sennheiser, or the new, recent, parent company, Sonova Consumer Hearing, is responsible for the design and or technology behind this set, but they have created a very good quality, flexible device. As a conclusionary thought, perhaps these type devices when made more affordable, might become a new standard in earphone use and flexibility. When you consider that they are very effective at noise cancelling, speech-enhancing, music listening, and phone communicating, it covers every type of use you might need, adjustable to the degree you might need it. What’s not to love? A few other observations: When using IOS, audio “ducks out” when sending and receiving texts and other functions that involve the audio system on the phone. Seems unusual in that the volume control doesn’t affect the surrounding audio that’s picked up, yet it is affected by the phone’s messaging. Maybe it’s a feature, not a fault, or a future software update candidate. Sometimes there are voids in the surrounding sound amplification that are just random, and as of yet, unexplainable. With the addition of dialing up more hearing enhancement, comes more high frequency hiss of amplifier and processor noise. Although this is somewhat of a normal occurrence for any device, it is especially noticeable on earbuds such as these (probably not heard when used by clientele that have high frequency hearing loss) and most likely an artifact of just how much digital signal processing is occurring to enable the functions/magic. Being around noise like running water when the volume is serving speech functions is almost painful, as the amplification of those enhanced frequencies are just drilled into your ears. Also, keep in mind that your internal frame of reference of audio sound balance will be affected, and is expected, and will need time to re-adjust after each extended use. Compare this to your experience of being used to the sound of your old car’s radio and sound system compared to a new (to you) car’s sound system. This re-orientation, and the need for it, is both a testament to your brain’s remarkable ability to adapt and compensate, as well as reminding how well the earbuds are actually working.

The Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus true wireless hearing aids are very compact and easy to setup, with a very straightforward app pairing process. The design doesn't immediately scream "these are hearing aids," instead Sennheiser opts for a subtle earbud look with the microphone pickups located around the earbud. The setup process guides you through how to get the most secure fit for your ear shape to ensure a comfortable fit, as well as giving you the suggestion to go through a quick hearing quiz. This will allow you to get the best type of hearing assistance for your type of hearing loss, with also having the ability to adjust the world and streaming volume manually through the physical buttons located on each of the earbuds. Going through the setup process will set you up for success in using the combinations of buttons and app functions to get the most out of these hearing aids. My biggest gripe, and reason for a star being removed, is they tend to be quieter than other hearing aids or even some regular earbuds ambient modes. This "quietness" has led to others not being able to hear me speak since I think I'm talking a normal volume, but am actually not. This has been fixed a little with a recent firmware update, so I keep using them for runs and bike rides, this is where they truly excel! The case and buds being small and lightweight, with awesome battery life for the buds and case, really help with using them during sports, since you can keep them with you when you want to listen to music AND hear the world around you better! The noise cancellation is really good and the music audio quality is phenomenal! If only they would pick up the speaker's (mine or yours) voice better to help with volume control. Overall, I'd still recommend them for someone who likes to run, bike, or walk with music going.

OTC Hearing Aids That Work Well But Over-Sized

Sennheiser - Conversation Clear Plus - True Wireless Hearing Aids I have tried and evaluated about five Over the Counter (OTC) hearing aids and these stack up pretty well against the competition. One of the benefits of hearing aids, OTC or Prescribed, is that they are rechargeable, so no batteries are needed. This hearing aid products is in that category. The charging case requires that you put the proper aid in the left or right side with an LED light showing the charging status. There is a carrying case for taking the hearing aids on the road. OTCs aren't perfect. Really my only complaint so far is the fit. The fit is not terrible but its not great either. When I wear hearing aids all day, I want them to be comfortable as possible. I was hopeful when I read that these aids do not have a piece behind the ear and connected to the in earpiece with a small thing cable. I wear glasses and it is important to me that I like aids that are inside the ear. The problem I have with these hearing aids is that they are far too bulky. The level of comfort was just not there. To be fair, I could hear fairly well with these hearing aids but I don't know if I would use them on an everyday basis. These hearing aids have a lot of good things going for it but they need to shrink in size. I would be somewhat reluctant to recommend these hearing aids because of the fit.

When I first looked at these Sennheiser hearing aid Buds I thought they were so large that they would look overwhelming in my ears. I almost did not even try them out. I am so glad I changed my mind. They look like regular ear buds in my ear. In fact they are the same size as my husbands expensive ear buds. They are so comfortable and I don’t feel like I have hearing aids in. Keep in mind I do use ear buds or hearing aids on a regular basis. Once I fully charged my hearing aid buds I began the set-up process. They come with a cord but not the block to charge them with. My iPod block worked perfectly. I downloaded the free APP to set these up and it was so easy. I had to update the software with took about 5 minutes then simply followed the prompts on the APP in the set-up process for my personal needs. I kept trying to up the volume level so I could hear my husband better then I realized I needed to use the clarity instead of the volume. I have learned a lot over the last few years about just how hearing loss really works. These do make hearing easier in my case. I can hear people speaking on my iPhone better as well. It syncs easily with my phone and all I have to do is tap the hearing bud to answer a call. I have no problem wearing them all day without any problems. Some hearing aids make my ears bleed after a few hour use but these did not actually go inside my ears so they did not cause my ears to bleed. I wish I had found these sooner as hearing loss makes life complicated. These helps uncomplicate things just a bit making my life easier through the process of natural hearing loss.

The Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus earbuds are an excellent solution for my 66-year-old ears. While I'm not ready to dive into hearing aids, these earbuds provide clarity of speech that I have not experienced with other earbuds. Setup After unboxing the earbuds, charging case, cable, ear tips, and ear fins, I scanned the QR Code on the included setup card. The Conversation Clear App was downloaded and installed on my iPhone 13Pro. I stepped through the terms and conditions and three information pages. I was prompted to log in with a Sennheiser account when I reached the Login page. However, tapping the Login button didn't do anything. Wondering if I needed to charge the earbuds first, I plugged in the charging case and waited for it to charge fully. After a full charge, I placed the earbuds in my ears and relaunched the App. I still could not log in. I downloaded the App to my iPad and encountered the same issue. I had updated both the iPhone and iPad to the latest OS earlier that day, so I thought it might be a conflict, so I went to the Sennheiser website and searched for updated information. After finding nothing, I submitted a support ticket and waited a few days for a reply. I am still waiting for a reply from support other than confirming my support ticket. However, I relaunched the Conversation Clear App on my iPad. This time, I could register for a Sennheiser account and proceed with the rest of the setup, which included pairing the earbuds, performing music/speech volume tests, and adjusting the sound clarity. The Conversation Clear App The App provides four major sections. The earbud battery levels are shown on the top right. The four sections and available features are: Sound • Automatically senses the environment's noise level. • Relax Mode provides noise cancellation and allows balancing with external sounds. • Communication mode is for speech volume and clarity. The volume can be increased, and a Clarity Boost switch enhances the voice levels. • Stream mode is for listening to audio from the phone or tablet. The balance between external sounds and audio can be adjusted. Earbuds • Earbud Controls shows the button shortcuts for each listening mode and phone calls. • Firmware can be updated. Each earbud will update individually, and the App will show a progress bar. Each earbud has its own serial number. Support • Links for FAQs, Support, and About This App information are here. A link for AudioVitality is provided for a sound technology subscription service for improving Well-Being and Tinnitus. Profile • This section updates the custom Sound Profile, accessing the Sennheiser Account information, and disclaimers for Data Collection, Privacy, and Licenses. Fitting and Usage The earbuds are small, and I am impressed with how well they fit in my ears. I didn't need to change the ear adapters or ear fins to get a snug fit. They are marked L and R for correct ear fitting. They are easy to insert, though it took me a couple of tries to fit them without hitting the multi-function button at the top of the stem. The earbuds are easily removed by grabbing the bottom of the short stem. I could wear the earbuds comfortably for over eight hours without any discomfort or irritation from the silicon adapters. The earbuds will automatically turn on when removed from the charging case and off when placed into the case. The earbuds' operating time is up to nine hours on a single charge. Charging time is around five hours. The charging case can provide two complete charging cycles before needing to be recharged via the USB cable. Each earbud has a multi-function button at the top of the stem and a tap control activated by tapping on the side of the earbud, facing out. The multi-function button controls different features depending on the Mode (Relax, Communication, Stream.) The tap control activates, pauses, and deactivates the smartphone/tablet voice assistant. Relax Mode does a fair job of reducing external noises, unlike complete noise cancellation. Even with full external noises off, a fair amount of sound will come through. However, it is good enough for reducing sounds to concentrate or relax. Communication Mode is what I use the most. I can hear people clearly speaking and other sounds. If I'm outside, it will pick up wind noise, and some distant noise, such as traffic, will sound like it's coming through a cardboard tube. I've gotten used to it. Stream Mode is for playing audio from the smartphone/tablet. While the earbuds can be connected to two devices simultaneously, only one audio stream can be heard at a time. Up to eight Bluetooth devices can have profiles. The most recent two devices will automatically connect. Each earbud will establish its own Bluetooth connection to each device. The music is clear and crisp. Though drums and bass are distinct, the audible range favors highs and midrange. Personally, I use the Acoustic EQ setting on my iPhone for music. An excellent addition, and a suggestion to the Sennheiser folks, for the Conversation Clear App would be a custom EQ for each Mode. The frequency range is 20 Hz to 20kHz with a sound pressure level of 100dB. Microphone response is 100 Hz to 10kHz. Summary I am thrilled with the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus earbuds. The comfortable fit, clear and crisp audio playback, clear phone conversations, long battery life, and a full-featured smartphone app are all positives. The big winner with these earbuds is the improved quality of hearing other people speaking and external sounds without hearing aids.

They work and feel great, my only problem is there is no way to turn off (from what i can find) the auto-switch feature for streaming. So any time you get an alert, such as a text or email, anything, on the phone then the buds will switch to stream. This isnt ideal when you are actively having a conversation because it lowers the volume of the person speaking. There should be an option to choose notifications or at least turn off the auto-switch functionality. The only workaround i can think of is to unpair the buds from bluetooth but thats annoying.

I know it’s just vanity, but my personal favorite feature of the Sennheiser-Conversation Clear True Wireless Ear-Buds is the fact that they look like common Blue-tooth ear buds most people wear listening to their phone. It’s the same vanity that kept me from wearing reading glasses until my arms were no longer long enough to hold the book far enough away. Sennheiser doesn’t promote these ear buds as straight forward “hearing aids” per se, but rather as a “Hearing Solution with Speech Enhancement and Active Noise Cancellation”. They’re for us older guys who have just started complaining that their wives are “mumbling”. They work for me! Features: - Up to 9 hours run time when in the ears. - Up to 18 hours running time from power stored in the caring-case with no external a/c power. Good for wilderness camping etc. - They do not go deep in the ear canal and pick up wax like some hearing aids. So, much less cleaning and maintenance is required. - The Sennheiser-Conversation App is quite easy to use, making it simple to make adjustments to change to the relax mode for blocking out or enhancing most ambient sound. - They connect quite well via Bluetooth to listen to various types of media on your phone or other media device. - I found them very handy to carry in my pocket. When I find myself needing additional conversational hearing, I can just pop them in. - Calls can be answered by the ear-bud’s controls with phone still in the pocket - 2-year Warranty against defects in materials or workmanship PROS: - Much improved sound, and speech clarity in most situations. - The different sized supplied ear tips and fins, allow you to make the earbuds fit very well and comfortably. - Using the Sennheiser Conversation App, the frequency range can be adjusted for clear voice or rich music. - Little to no maintenance is required. CONS: - Occasionally they picked up some kind of interference with my car’s Bluetooth system - Set-up did not allow balancing volume for differences in hearing of my left and right ears. - When using the earbuds to listen to my phone, they would disconnect when a text or other message came to the phone. However, they did reconnect quickly by themselves. Conclusion: The Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus earbuds greatly improve my listening quality in conversations. I’m now hearing ambient sounds I’ve been missing in the past. Overall, I think these are well worth the value and I would recommend them.

The Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus is essentially a bluetooth headset with one goal, to assist your hearing. I have mild hearing loss, mainly in one ear, from years of not wearing appropriate ear protection on the job (firefighter) and at concerts (one of my favorite things to attend). It is nice to know that there are options available that won't completely break the bank. First of all, unlike some other brands that do not allow a full host of standard bluetooth features, the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus headset functions just like a normal pair of bluetooth headphones. You can talk on the phone and listen to music! The audio quality is really good! The earbuds are ultimately controlled by an app you download on your phone. It allows you to keep the earbuds updated, adjust certain features, and change the modes of the earbuds. If you feel over stimulated, you can completely block out all noise and stop the audio outside from coming in. I really liked this part as it sometimes helped me focus on work. The earbuds certainly amplify the noise in the room. I do wish the sound was a little more natural as opposed to it being somewhat gritty. My only other issue is the size of these earbuds. They protrude out of your ears and are very noticeable. This could appear to people that you are wearing earbuds and maybe ignoring them or not listening. I have seen other brands that are much smaller, albeit they had less features. Over all, the features included are great and these earbuds check a lot of boxes!

I tested the Sennheiser Conversation Clear plus while at work which is a noisy environment (Dock worker at a shipping port). I have moderate hearing loss so the ability to clearly understand my coworkers both face to face and over radio communication is limited with the environment, using the Sennheisers has made a huge improvement. Battery life is ok (7/10), I was able to use the product for my whole shift, which is 12 hours. I would place them in the charging case during our breaks to ensure maximum power. That being said, if you were in a situation where you had to wear them for more than 8 hours straight, they would require a charge when you hit 8.5 hours. App ease of use, (9/10). I experienced some issues with initial set up, it wasn’t anything crazy but the instructions seemed a little confusing. I was hoping to be able to connect using NFC but that wasn’t the case. Overall, after everything is set up, using the app is very easy and it works very well. Comfortability is superior (10/10). I have alway had issues with in ear products staying put and not feeling like they are moving around or about to fall out. The Sennheisers are very good at staying put and very comfortable. Sound quality is good (8/10). The Sennheisers have good sound quality, nothing is over powered, not speech, not music if you choose to listen to that (because they also work as headphones, which is awesome).

I will say after using these for the past two weeks that I can notice a great improvement in my ability to hear soft voices or whispers and I definitely notice when they're not in my ears. The battery life is really good as well and these last all day and then some under normal use. When you go outside it opens up a whole new audio world. Birds and other outdoor noises come to life not really amplified - but enhanced I would say. Since these are not actual hearing aids, they do stick out and are quit large compared to a traditional hearing aids. This are on par with music ear bud sizes and one could easily mistake them for music earbuds instead of hearing assistance devices. I recommend these if you have very slight hearing loss or maybe a bit of tinnitus these are great for that because they don't rest as close to your ear drum as traditional hearing aids. There is no ANC but the "enhancement" on natural sounds is really cool and hard to describe. These can easily pickup on conversations from several tables away as well - so there's that.

Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus The Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus wireless ear buds are pretty decent. They offer 3 size ear tips and ear fins to allow for customization. They feel comfortable but require some time to get used to them. The longer you wear them the more you get used to them. The battery life is a plus and the case actually charges them when you store the buds. I haven’t had to charge the case yet after using the buds 4-6 hrs a day for a week. There was a firmware update soon after acquiring the system which is always good that they are working on improvements. I had no difficulty pairing /connecting the buds to my phone, tablet, computer or TV. There are three modes: Relax, Communication and Streaming. Each mode has separate commands appropriate to each mode by use of the buttons on the buds. Controlling volume, switching mode, smart assistant, clarity boost, play/pause. The control commands are easy to find under the Earbud control tab as you learn their function. Communication: alerts you to the environment you are in and when it changes. There is a control for speech clarity from smoother to clearer. Speech volume from 0-15. And additional clarity boost via an on /off switch. If you receive at notification while in communication mode it will switch to streaming and then go back to communication mode. Now it does take just a second to readjust to the environment in communication mode again. Now it does amplify some of the background noise along with voices and if there is a sharp sound these get amplified as well. Not to a hurtful level but it could use some assistance in the noise cancelling department. An example of this is when I am in a server environment with a lot of fan noise having a conversation the fan noise is still present and amplified, along with key clicks on a clicky keyboard. Clarity boost also boosts these sounds. You still get to hear the conversation but at times have to adjust the overall volume because of these background annoyances. In a noisy space such as a restaurant or event with a lot of noise it definitely helps with boosting conversation. It also helps while watching TV not using the stream mode and being able to hear comments from your friends and family. Relax: this is basically a noise cancelling mode to shut down the outside sound. You can adjust the external sound from 0 to 100%. And it does a decent job of turning off outside sound. It would be interesting to see how this works in an airplane environment but I haven’t been able to test this out yet. Stream: Works well but it could use an equalizer set of controls to adjust how you hear the streaming and it could definitely use some Brass upgrades as far as I am concerned. You have the ability to adjust the amount of background noise while listening to your media. So, you can shut outside things out or add some background sound when needed. A few improvements that would be nice are: the ability to adjust sound volume percent on one bud vs the other. The ability to knock out certain frequencies of background noise or smart detection of noise in the environment that could be eliminated. All in all a good set of buds to help out in the Noisy world we live in but could use some improvements.

I have been using the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus for over week. I have partial hearing loss due to working in the music industry. I have tested a lot of OTC Hearing devices trying to find something that works for me that works both as headphones but also for hearing. I want something I can wear during the day and not look like an old man. In terms of what I'm looking for ease of setup, audio clarity, comfort, and suitability for everyday use. The Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus tick a few boxes and are just short of perfect - set up and comfort is where they fall short. In the box you get the Conversation Clear Plus earbuds, different sizing tips, and a USB C cable. Setup requires the separate Sennheiser Conversation Clear app (not to be confused with the Sennheiser Smart Control App). Pairing requires putting the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus earbuds into pairing mode, connecting them via Bluetooth and then going back to the app. The app also requires registration before you use it - I'm not sure why they need registration. Tuning the audio is a bit easier than most other hearing device apps, but there's no fine tuning for where you may have specific frequency loss. Or if there is, it's not immediate obvious - you tune them to your hearing loss by listening to a pre-recorded conversation and adjusting for clarity. Once you do this, you're ready to go. This is where I was impressed, the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus are VERY clear, like as good as it would be without assistance. It's impressive. For music quality it's very very good, the Sennheiser experience you know and the ANC is incredible. Especially for Earbuds. You can also adjust the balance between background audio for listening and music. At peak music balance with ANC on, you won't even hear someone seated next to you. Which is amazing for earbuds. Where the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus could be better is pairing. The app pairing process is slow, they are slow to pair to the app, and each earbud pairs separately - so on occasions I had one earbud lose connection. Something I haven't experienced on other earbuds for years. In terms of comfort. I found the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus comfortable for short sessions but after a few hours, they just started to bother me. I tried different tips and it didn't really help - not sure what it is about them, but they do sit a little large in the ear. This could just be me, so I am not going to mark them down for this. Would I recommend these. If you are after earbuds that give hearing help but are also great for music, the Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus are great. FYI, I had a firmware update out of the box. I would recommend you retune the headphones after this, just to take advantage of any updates to the software.

These are different than any earbud that I have used. When I first put these in, I thought that they were going to be your run of the mill earbud but I was presently surprised. The first thin that I noticed is that you do not have to stick these earbuds deep into your ear cavity. These sat comfortably in your ear. when you put them in and you turn on the stream mode, it clearly plays the music and you cannot hear any outside noise. I switched from stream to conversation and the conversation was crisp and profound, these would be good for. Day to day conversation for someone that is hard of hearing or just want sounds to be a little be clearer. By putting it in conversation mode you hear things in a more pronounced fashion but if this seems to be a little to loud, you can put it into relaxed mode and this quiets down the conversation quite a bit. It makes the conversation soft and subtle. A phone call came in and it put the phone in conversation mode automatically so if you have these paired to your phone you don’t have to worry about missing a phone call. I really advise anyone who is thinking about purchasing these to not hesitate, you will not be disappointed.

Having suffered from hearing loss in one ear I have tried many times to find a solution. After trying over the counter hearing aids and other active noise cancelling ear buds, I have found a solution. The Sennheiser Conversation Clear Plus earbuds excelled in every area. The ability to listen to conservations across the room, with either the background noises on or off, was a plus. I could hear all the sounds from the room or turn on the ANC and just hear the voices. If I wanted to listen to music from my phone the Bluetooth setup was without fuss or errors. This also allowed me to listen to my phone calls clearly and answer the phone with the tap of a button. However, the tapping of the buttons is preset and cannot be altered. You must meet the times exactly as prescribed by Sennheiser. There is option for you to train the earbuds to your double tap/long tap/short tap. The actual earbuds fit into the ear nicely and without any discomfort over time. The earbuds come with standard sized cushions for your selection. Remember to set aside time to upgrade your earbuds to the latest firmware, and the application to the latest release before using.

These noise cancelling earbuds are very comfortable and reduce background noise quite a bit. Out of the package the setting up of the earbuds was very easy. There is a really nice case that also serves as a charging station. A charging cord (usb-c) comes with the package. A quick start brochure is also included that helps setup the earbuds including adding the app that is needed to adjust the settings. The earbuds has a card with different size ear buds. It is very easy to change these out to the appropriate size buds. The app is where you can adjust the settings on the earbuds. These earbuds are very powerful with the tools in the app. You can adjust the amount of room noise comes through. So if you in a loud environment you can adjust accordingly so you hear only the voices you want to hear. Sitting in a gymnasium recently I was able to reduce the background noise and hear the people I wanted to listen to. The battery life is very good but I haven't tried using the entire amount up but I did use for most of a day off and on and the battery life was still over half way. I like that the dock charges the units as well.
