GREAT HEADPHONES FOR THE PRICE! The sound quality is similar to the 6 series, if not better. MIND YOU, the 6 series is double the price of these ones. The sound comes clean and crisp, and the distortion is very minimal because of the opening. The materials are not premium but the sound makes up for it. Ive tried the Apple headphones (499 USD) and the Beats (350 USD) and unfortunately the sound didnt make up for the price. The earcups fits nicely once you break them down. Probably the best thing is that it fits over the entire ear, so you wont be getting that painful ear pressure that other headphones give you. Overall, great headphone!

Bought these after owning the Sennheiser hd 599 and I prefer these for gaming and music. The 599 is more for reference, and does a fantastic job of doing that. These have a great alternate sound profile that makes everything sound more "fun". I pair both with a Fiio BTR5 and listening to music with Apple music, which has much higher sound quality than Spotify, sounds amazing. The sound stage really shines on apple music and proper flac and other high fidelity formats. For gaming the sound stage works wonders for competitive fps and other games where knowing what direction sounds are coming from. I wanted to experience something other than traditional gaming headsets and these blow all those away. For pc, getting a seperate mic was hardly an issue and my overall experience is so much better because of it. Nothing wrong with most gaming headsets, I still love my hyperx cloud IIs and just having everything all in one is very convenient, but if you have the means, try going this route. These being open back does mean sound will leak out and external noises around you may leak in. Both are something to consider if you share your space with another so that's to be considered. They're very comfortable and I did buy another cable since the default one was longer than I liked, but it's not necessary to buy anything else for these headphones. Very good value and they go on sale often. Oh, and yes, the pads are replaceable and there's lots of great options out there if you want to explore that.

    Gaming Audiophile Headset

Excellent Gaming Open Back (think Transparency mode on Airpods / no noise cancelling you can hear everything outside the headset) Gaming and Media consumption for the price, it is definetly worth it. Quality plastic with an aluminum band, there is no swivel join so you cant accidently break it by trying to turn the earpiece the wrong way because if you did you'd be breaking it. Comfortable over long periods of time. May get alittle warm during the summer but the light design leaves very little fatigue and the open backed nature means there is no heavy foam or materials adding to the weight on your head. The band is ok on an average sized head, no heavy clamping force. Compared to other headsets I have used, it is very similar to the HyperX Cloud 2 but definetly lighter but has no noise cancelling. A great upgrade for audio quality especially if you use a DAC as it has a Screw on 1/4mm jack.

Ill keep it short and sweet, these are IT right here people. You only need an AMP but i recommend getting a DAC as well for these puppies. For $200 these are a STEAL, the level of clarity in all the ranges are 10 fold better then any headphone I've ever owned (Steel series, JBL, etc). (Currently running a Monolith Liquid Spark AMP and a Schiit Modi 3 DAC) With the Liquid Spark the bass is so warm and inviting but not overtaking, the mids and highs still punch their way through very nicely. I hear NO static or weird issues with the drivers, these are some quality headphones and they are going to sell like mad. The comfort level is on par with any of the most expensive headphones, the padding is VERY plush and soft and sits comfortably on my head all day. The clamping force is in between medium and high, its a good in- between. The only 2 downsides i can really see with these atm is the headphone's overall are made out of plastic(quality plastic, but plastic non the less, and it feels like it.) They don't feel the up most durable but they are not flimsy what so ever, Sennhieser doesn't make crap. The high range can sometimes feel a little overwhelming and loud at times, but not enough to be a turn off.

The headphone sounds great. I use them for gaming and I can hear foot steps pretty clearly. The open back is a plus because my ears do not get as hot. I wish it came with a usb adapter and volume control.

I have really enjoyed these headphones. They have allowed me to fully appreciate my music again and not disturb anyone else. One nice thing is that they have a 3.5mm plug and it comes with an 1/4" adapter to use with my amplifier (see photo). I may be no expert but I think they have excellent sound quality and details of sound are clear to me. The ear pieces are large enough to entirely cover my ears and comfortable enough for long periods of wearing them.

Impressively clear and neutral sound. Open back allows for a great soundstage but lacks punchier bass and allows for more ambient noise to leak in more so than a closed back pair would. Overall incredible headphones for somebody looking to jump into the hifi headphones world and wants a great neutral baseline of what hifi headphones should offer.

The sound quality on these headphones are great for my piano. Also, they are crazy comfortable. The only complaint is that you can hear things around your environment but that is also just the effect of having open headphones.

I used a pair of wireless logitech Gaming headset and they were really good, but I always hated having to charge them so I figured I'd go and buy some nice new headphones that were wired and saw that these were recommended especially since the more extensive ones really start to see diminishing returns (unless you spend 2 grand) and I gotta say they are great! Music and games sound amazing and I love the wider stage it provides. Though the caviot is that base is lost ALOT so if you like base, these would probably leave you feeling some kind of way. I did at first too, until I got used to the lower base. I know people tweak their audio, but I'm no audiophile. Just a dude who games on occasion.

I've only recently taken steps to up my audio game, and holy cow do I not regret a thing! I was so used to my old apple Earpods that I thought that was what "premium" sound was. I never knew how good the music I have been listening to for years actually was. When I got these, I was blown away. I was up until 3AM listening to songs I thought I was bored with. It was like listening for the first time. I'm still a newbie, but these are even getting insanely good reviews from audiophile veterans. Just buy them. They're great. Just make sure you also have something that can power them to their fullest potential. I bought the FiiO K5 Pro AMP/DAC, and it sounds fantastic.

One of the best sounding headphones I’ve used so far because of the sound signature and I’ve always used gaming headphones mainly Astro A40/50. So when I picked this up on Black Friday deals it was a pleasant surprise to my ears. The sound stage was wider and imaging for COD which is what I mainly play was superb. The sound signature is pretty flat but that just means less base explosion in my ears and I could game longer without fatigue. But where it really shined for my is when I’m listening to HIFI music on Spotify. I got for about the same price as my Astro A40s so I was wondering why I never bought these instead all this time. Its entry level audiophile headphone but fits my budget perfect because my Astro ear pads were falling apart on me from wear and tear. Best part of this ear phone is comfortability when wearing them for extensive gaming hours.

These Sennheiser headphones are great. They are what I have come to expect from this compan y's headphones. Ever since I started using them some 35 to 40 years ago when I worked as a cinematographer and audio man for public television in Miami, Florida. Their Fidelity is clear and well balanced and are comfortable to wear for long periods of time and they have a replaceable cord with both sizes of audio jacks for connection. They are a good value for the price I paid and are a quality product that feels like it will last a long time.

Best headset for almost everything. I love this headset for listening to music, gaming, or sometimes watching YT. If you want to use this as a gaming headset I would suggest you buy a boom mic off of Amazon that’s compatible with this. I bought the wrong boom mic and had to buy another one but I didn’t mind since I actually ended up having a use for both of them. I would argue that these sound better than my Astros A50s but are less comfortable. I bought a amp since it was recommended for my headset. The only thing I would say is holding this headset back is the fact that it is wired. But then if it was wireless then the headset would probably not have a way to connect a boom mic to it.

First pair splurge on headphones. Sound wise directly plugged into a port is AWESOME. I will say I use it to game more than music listening and the sound is a little quieter compared to other gaming headsets but it may be because I use a splitter and plug it into my controller via a turtle beach adapter, i’m sure it sound louder if I could plug it directly into a controller or dac amp. For the sale price I snagged these at, I am very pleased with my purchase here at BestBuy.

One of the best headphones u can get out there! The imaging and clarity on these are one of the best, and the sound stage is just the right amount, nothing too crazy like the hd800s, so anyone can enjoy this baby's sound signature. It's one of the perfect headphones to start your audiophile jouney!

Great, open soundstage. These are pretty neutral sounding, but very clear on the details and separation. I replaced my SHP9500 with these for my main gaming setup, as they weigh almost nothing and are VERY comfortable for long sessions. I use a VMODA Boompro along with a 3.5<>2.5mm adapter that I dremeled notches into, in order to bypass the locking tabs on this pair.

Perfect upgrade to my old HD558. Balanced sound signature with clear mids, the bass is present and not overpowering, and highs sparkle but not fatiguing. Clamping force on your head may be a bit tight at first but it does eventually loosen up after time.

Absolutely love the sound of these, I’ve had these since March of 2023, reviewing in January of 2024. I have worn them almost every day since, and there are no signs of wear on the foam or headband. Love these.
