I love this headset. You can feel the quality from the second you put your hands on them. The sound is also incredible. I have an external amp for mine.

It's a Sennheiser you get what you pay for. Might get another one.

Phenomenal if paired with an AMP on PS4

This headset in combination with the Astro mix amp is hands down the best I’ve tried yet. -The closed back system blocks out sound, and creates a great escape from screaming children or nagging wives. -The sound of foot steps is extremely vivid. I’m games like Siege and BO4 they have saved my life a few times. -Build quality is great. They’re not flimsy by any means. -The mic is noise canceling so if you talk a little low then it will cut out mid-sentence. Other than that speech is very clear, and the mute is easily initiated by flipping the mic up. It does lack the extravagant features of other top end headsets, but the money to manufacture was put into the sound and mic (where it really matters). The price of these in combination with a mix amp is pretty pricey, but they blow the A50s out of the water. The Elite 800s were close in sound, but the mic terrible. **I ordered these from Sennheiser shortly after release so that’s why I don’t have “verified purchaser” on the review.**

Get the 7.1 amp that goes with it

I bought 2 sets of headsets and amps for my cousins, and they love them. When I first got them working on the computer, I could have sworn the sound was coming from outside the headset. The different sound settings took a bit to learn, but there are no useless settings. The headset seems very well built and the microphone is crystal clear. We did have to turn down the windows microphone level. Others in chat were saying that we were loud. The amp does provide good virtual 7.1 surround positioning, but calculating distance is still hard in some games. All FPS games work flawlessly.

I bought these headphones thinking they would be similar if not better than my Astro A50's (Gen2). Sadly they are not. They lack much needed bass and sound quite tinny. I use them with my Xbox1X and an Astro Mixamp TR. I added custom EQ's to the Mixamp to boost the bass but it comes nowhere close to the Astro's bass response; Sound Separation seems ok. The noise-canceling ear pads work well but you can still hear noises around you....although more muffled than the Astros A50's. I'm returning these and will continue the search....
