The product was great BUT I returned it because I wanted something to amplify only the voices on the TV and not the back ground music etc.. and this did not. It was small and fit nicely on the end table and the sound quality was excellent. It was easy to hook up and use.

We have a great room with the TV at one end and the kitchen at the other. My wife uses this so she can hear the TV while in the kitchen without having to crank up the volume on the TV to excessively loud levels. She loves it. Easy to install, but the TV has to have a separate audio output. With our Sony TV the sound output is synched to the TV. Some people we know found that they were not able to synch with their TV. Very easy to install and use.

Purchased for my 85 year old mother who was having issues hearing the TV. Now able to hear the conversation without turn the volume extremely loud.

Easy to hook up to cable box. Great sound quality. Has a long range. Works just how I hoped it would.

Purchased the Serene Innovations - TV SoundBox TV Amplifier for my husband who's hearing has been damaged from strokes. Excellent purchase! Now we both can hear the TV at a comfortable volume. He puts his new SoundBox amplifier next to his chair & the actual TV volume can be kept at a normal level for me. SoundBox also makes the individual words clearer for the hearing impaired. So now, my husband can actually understand what the TV actors are saying.

Great product, for someone that has a problem understanding the words from the television

This device was easy to install and convenient to use. My wife takes it to the kitchen area of our great room when she is there and this lets her hear without having to blast the volume from the tv set.

My husband has difficulty hearing due to working with heavy epquipment for so many years. Its hard to hear the words over the background music. This speaker really helps to hear the words clearly and you don't have to have your surround sound speakers so loud.

I was a little skeptical about this speaker but it does enhance the dialogue. I can watch TV and hear what is being said most of the time.

The sound is crisp. We place it next to our elderly, hard of hearing mother so she can watch TV and the rest of us don't get blown out of the room by television sound.

Connectivity is not simple without a headphone jack

I am returning this item. No sound or in/out sound or total distortion. How did this thing ever get to market?

I'm 52 years old and my son just bought me this. I'm only five days in, but so far I absolutely love it! (my family probably even more so) My hearing has been getting progressively worse over the past few years, to the point I've found myself turning the TV volume way up to really understand the dialogue. I didn't even realize I was doing this until my wife and son told me one day that I had the TV on "obnoxiously loud." Sorry guys! It sounded perfectly normal to me. Anyway, my son did a little research online and stumbled across this little speaker on the Best Buy website and decided to get it for my birthday. What a godsend! (both the speaker and my son). Within minutes, I had it all set up and charging, and later that evening I decided to give it my first go. I took the speaker out of the little charging base and set it on the table next to me while I was sitting on the couch. I turned it on, played around with the volume a little bit, and before you know it I was hearing EVERYTHING I wanted on the TV and my wife and son weren't complaining about the volume! It's like my own little personal speaker. It's amazing how bringing the sound that much closer to you can make such a big difference in being able to understand the dialogue. Other things I'd like to point out... 1) It has a convenient little carrying handle built-in which makes it extremely easy to carry around and place wherever I want it. 2) The wireless signal even travels through walls. I brought it outside with me while I was grilling the other day and was able to listen to the Twins game while I was grilling! 3) There's not a person on this planet that should have trouble understanding how to use this thing once you get it set up. It has a volume dial which doubles as the power on/off switch as well (kind of like old school radios) so it's extremely simple to use. So far I am incredibly happy with this product and would recommend it not only to those with hearing loss, but anyone who wants to hear the TV better without necessarily needing to blast the volume on their TV.

This soundbox was bought a few years ago. It seemed to be one of the best at the time. With passing time however the battery fizzled out. Trying to buy a replacement was like hitting a brick wall. We were informed that the company used a battery pack that was custom made for them. The box has been replaced by newer models; no replacement batteries are available, nor is there a usable substitute. Bottom line -- the box is destined for the trash. My primary issue is the fact that the company had to be well aware of the battery situation. It seems to have been a way to sell more units once the battery was exhausted -- my strong opinion. A company rep and I have gone back & forth with emails addressing this problem. No solution was offered by the company except to buy a newer model. No replacement; no discount -- nothing!!! Anyone out there collect junk?

Just great. I have tried two things that had headphones which I couldn't ware more than a few minutes. I can put speaker right by my chair or I can plug in My Sony headphones if needed and listen for ever.

I was looking forward to this. It did not work. Now I have to send it back and not sure if I want to order an other one. Very disappointed!
