This mattress in a box is my first time not shopping at a mattress store. The box can be a bit heavy due to its cumbersome fit and form but can be picked up and moved by 1 person if needed. The queen-sized mattress was a welcome surprise for myself and my wife. We have used a coil mattress for almost 13 years and wanted to experience a gel with memory foam mattress. The Perfect Sleeper Nestled Night 10" Medium Firm Gel Memory Foam Mattress-in-a-box is very nice so far and it's been a welcome upgrade to my daily sleep cycle. The design is nice with the circular pattern, but most likely you're using bedsheets and will never see this. The blue/gray edging around the mattress also looks nice and makes the whole bed look upscale. I opened the box up and unrolled the mattress out, and let it decompress for 24 hours to ensure it would expand to full 10" capacity and release any of the off-gassings. I didn't experience any smell or scent, but I'm sure it could vary for different households. The mattress expanded properly and looked correct on all 4 sides for both top and bottom. The mattress has a nice soft top layer of gel that absorbs you into the mattress when you lay down. I feel like it's helped to relieve my pressure points for when I move around from side sleep, back sleep, and stomach sleep. Below the gel layer is the memory foam layer that helps to absorb the rest of your body weight. The edges have seemed to be nice and strong so far as the bed can hold its shape as you're sitting on the side of the bed. Overall, it's a great bed with a quality brand name like Serta. The mattress is also supportive and comfortable. The medium/firm is not hard and should be ideal for most. The convenience of getting a bed in a box has been a pleasant surprise as it was convenient and the mattress has been of very good quality for support, style, and comfort.

Its really comfy, doesn’t sink, and it’s really firm. I would recommend it if you prefer firm over plush mattresses.

Horrible mattress, at least for us. It was so bad for our backs we ended up giving it away. I would not recommend it. I am still very surprised years later because it had such good reviews and high ratings. Lesson learned, don't buy mattresses online-you really do need to go the store and try them.

The Serta Perfect Sleeper Nestled Night 10" Medium Firm Gel Memory Foam Mattress-in-a-box is a great mattress. I am really happy with the sleep I have been getting on this mattress since receiving it. I was impressed with the whole mattress-in-a-box feature. It was great. It came in a box that was approximately 19" x 19" x 27". Inside the box the mattress was folded and rolled up tightly in plastic, like something that was shrink-wrapped. It made it so easy to carry the box upstairs to my bedroom. My past couple of mattresses I had to hire a delivery service to bring it to my house, but with this mattress, you can ship it right to your door and easily carry it to the bedroom and unpack it yourself. Once I removed the plastic wrap, I just laid it out on my bed and it started to expand and flatten out. By the next day it was completely flattened out and expanded. Pretty convenient! As for the mattress itself, I have been very happy with the comfort and the way it sleeps. With it being a gel memory foam mattress, it feels like you just sink right in when you lay on it. While it is very soft to lay on, it gave me the medium support I wanted. it conforms to the shape and weight of my body and feels like it takes some of the weight off my pressure points. I typically sleep on my sides and when I travel or sleep on a new mattress, I often wake up with sore hips and back. I have had no problems with sleeping on this mattress. My hips and back have felt great. One of the things I liked about the features of this mattress is the cooling technology, as I have slept on some other memory foam mattresses that I feel have been hot to sleep on. I have had no problems with this mattress getting too hot. It has been giving me a cool night's sleep. If you are looking for a new mattress, I would recommend you give this one a try for both comfort and convenience of delivery.

My old mattress was too hard. I tried sleeping on the couch but it was too soft. This one seems just right. I like many people experience some aches and pains while trying to sleep. I usually toss and turn and often have to get up to relieve hip or shoulder pains or walk off leg cramps. I think this mattress is the answer for me as I sleep much better now. I actually wake up feeling refreshed instead of stiff and tired. My old mattress wasn't a cheapo but it was extra firm and maybe not ideal for me. Plus it was getting old so it was probably time to replace it. I'm glad I did. Now I just need to figure out what to do with it. This thing comes in a fairly small box considering it's size (mine's a queen size). I don't know how they compress it into such a box but they do. It's pretty heavy though (75 lbs or so) so keep that in mind. May take a few days to fully expand once you unpack it. Good luck getting it back in the box afterwards as you probably won't be able to. Keeps me cooler too. I tend to get hot while sleeping but not so much with this. I also use a Serta cooling gel pillow from Best Buy which helps too. My fitted sheets actually fit now; my old mattress was too big for them. They would always pop loose and made it hard to make the bed. I like it. Get one now before you lose more sleep.

We are very pleased with our new mattress. I have a lower back pain that tickles me from time to time along with a nice appetite for snoring, and my wife's carpal tunnel supposedly worsens with certain mattresses (according to her) that do not provide enough support. This mattress provides just the right amount of firmness we need for a perfectly uninterrupted sleep. We wake up without aches and pains. And my snoring is supposedly under better control...so she says. It is firmer than medium, definitely, and was exactly what we needed. The mattress came in a tightly packed roll which we were able to carry upstairs without much problem (probably around 35-40 pounds). But if you are older, you may need help. The layers of plastic packaging took a little time but was easy enough. They provided a handy little cutter which my wife now uses for other things in her kitchen. As per instructions, we did not put beddings on the mattress for a few hours, allowing it to plump up. The mattress became significantly puffier in a couple of days. Highly recommended.

This mattress comes in a box. A heavy box. Then when opened it snaps into shape. I have a queen size. The memory foam is amazing. I feel no pain when I sleep. Prior to this mattress I struggled to sleep comfortably with back and hip pain. The memory foam elimates those pressure points, giving me relief and a more restful sleep. I was worried that medium firm would 'hurt' yet in fact because it is memory foam it doesn't hurt at all. Don't be fearful of 'firm'. At 10 inch height it is plenty thick. Serta did well. A very good mattress in a box.

It is amazing that a full size mattress comes in such a small box. Once you take it out, it transforms into a full size mattress in a few yours. The firmness is just right, not too soft and not too hard. All of the edges are soft and smooth and provides firm and supportive support on your back, side or stomach. The material remains cool throughout the night. This is a perfect solution for someone who needs to move a mattress into a small place such as an apartment or dorm.

This mattress was a replacement for one that was approaching ten years old. The quality and comfort is so much better than the old one. The trick is finding something comfortable that’s not too firm, yet holds its shape and confirms well to the body. This is easily the most comfortable mattress I have owned and provides just right combination of firmness and support. The mattress also seems to sleep cooler than my previous mattress and doesn’t lock in the heat.

I have had a few different Serra mattresses over the years & always love their quality & the sleep I get on them. I had replaced a Serta (due to downsizing the bed size) and had said it would be temporary so got a cheap mattress from the rainforest company…I regretted it and bought an eggshell topper which made it somewhat better. But I was missing my Serta mattress & wanted another! Then the sleep & mattress gods got TIN & Serta to offer (others but mostly myself) a Serta mattress that it’s name is 100% on point in that it is called a Perfect Sleeper because that is how I’ve felt sleeping on it! This new mattress is thinner than my previous mattress by about 2 inches. I loved how thick/tall my prior mattress & eggshell topper were but even with this being slightly thinner, I absolutely love this Serta mattress! I have awoken to less back pain, less knee pain, and less neck pain since making the switch to this mattress. I have allowed each of my family members to sleep on the mattress for a nap or even overnight while I traveled for work & my kids & significant other all love this mattress too! My kids are begging me to replace their mattress with a Serta like this one. We probably will be doing that as their birthdays start to roll around this year or even Christmas. What are you waiting for? Sleep on the clouds too! Buy this mattress!

This is the most amazing mattress I've had. It comes in a small but heavy box. The box does recommend two people to carry it. But once inside, the mattress is wrapped very well. We carefully unwrapped and put the queen mattress on the board then unrolled it. This is my first time using a mattress from a box, so I was a bit nervous. But within minutes it rose and we were able to sleep on it that night, a few hours later. Within a few days, it was at perfect height and felt very comfortable. Can't believe how quick and easy the setup was. I was concerned because some had mentioned a smell. But we didn't notice any smells coming from this but we also have an air purifier in the bedroom that runs about 12 hours/day so that could be why we didn't have a smell. We were looking forward to this mattress because I've been waking up with some back pain so I really hoping this would help. And yes, it has helped and has relieved my back pain. The first morning, I woke up, I had forgotten we had this new mattress for a minute. My body just felt so good, relaxed and pain free. I was thinking, wow, what happened, I'm feeling really good and just overall comfortable and then realized, oh yes, we slept on the new mattress. The firmness is perfect, not too soft or too firm. My body feels good whether I'm on my back, side or tummy sleeping. I'm so so glad I got this.

Having purchased from Purple and Tuft and Needle in the past, I'm used to the memory foam mattress game being internet only and not coming from the old standbys. Well it appears that mattress legend Serta has gotten into this market in a big way. One thing I was immediately struck by when the mattress was delivered - It's in a fairly small box and HEAVY. They really manage to compress these things for shipping, and it's always amusing to watch them return to their intended shape/size after being unboxed. If you're new to memory foam mattresses, I suggest you make sure you get a chance to lay on one, your friend's, at a store, or at an airbnb. If you already know you like firm and supportive, then carry on. This mattress is well covered in a nicely made textured cover. Similar to most memory foam mattresses there is a dedicated "top" so you can't flip it in both directions like you could the mattresses of old, but this is probably okay with the gel topper that Serta has introduced here. The gel topper helps keep this mattress from exhibiting the "heat island" effect that sometimes plagues other memory foam mattresses that absorb and reflect your body heat. One way I like to test a mattress is if I can kneel on it and not feel the bars of my bed supports below, and this one passed the test. 10-inches may not seem like a very deep mattress, but it does account for a fairly lux and firm one in this setting. Sheets are a whole other issue, and definitely do your research, but they are widely available for 10-inch deep mattresses. I am a convert and will not be going back to traditional spring and woven mattresses.
