I actually cried when my purple shark physically broke (It actually is still functional if I use the hose attachment). I had it for 12 or 13 years, and I was rough on it. I skeptically bought this vacuum, but I have to say that I love it. The freedom of no cord, the same suction, and the added light (It helps me see that the dog fur is off the floor). I also love that I can get under more places, such as my couch with ease (which truthfully was the reason why my other one is broken). It took me a second (because I chose the quick assembly), on how to store it after using it.

I purchased and returned for different types of shark vacuums. Because I couldn't find one that I liked this one rightwhen I hear everything that I was looking for all inone. Lite weight, powerful suction, doesnt take up alot of space, fast charge, and exactly everything I was looking for without breaking the bank. For what you get and the price its great. Comes apart quick and easily. I also love its super easy to clean

Compact, lightweight, easy to use. Great for picking up dog hair and has a built-in odor neutralizer. The motor has three speeds to use for different surfaces is self storing so you don’t have to hang it on the wall.

I have been looking at cordless vacuums for a while, and I wanted one with a removable battery. When the Shark Cordless Pro Stick popped up on Best Buy's deal of the day, I had to give it some serious consideration. I started by reading many of the reviews, starting with the lowest star rating like I usually do. I then I compared it to the other vacuums that I have bookmarked that I was considering for purchase.
There isn’t much in the way of instructions other than the basics and some stickers placed strategically on the vacuum, but there is a QR code in front of the handle that opens up a page containing a link for the instructions that you can open and then print out. There are also links for troubleshooting, frequently asked questions, parts & accessories, and product registration.
The Shark Cordless Pro Stick vacuum is easy to assemble; each section and the accessory attachments lock together with an audible click. There is a large rocker switch with a circular indentation that is easy to press to unlock and disassemble each section.
There are many things I like about this vacuum and one thing I wish it had. There is only one thing that I don't particularly like about the Shark Cordless Pro Stick vacuum, and I will start with that one first.
The way it is stored is by removing the vacuum from the extension then hanging the vacuum by a tab on the dust cup onto a mating hook on the lower part of the extension. Those are Shark's words for the parts, I actually think they should be reversed. They are plastic, and although the tab, (hook), on the dust cup is reinforced, I can still see either it or the hook breaking if you’re not careful. Otherwise I have no other concerns about this vacuum cleaner.
I wish it had a way to store the attachments, not necessarily on-board, but it would be nice if they included, or offered for purchase, a caddy that securely holds the attachments, with screws and anchors included in case you want to hang it on a wall.
I would also like to be able to purchase a replacement battery, but Shark does not list one on their website. It would be nice to be able to have a fully charged battery to swap out for the one in the vacuum when it is depleted.
As the battery gets close to discharging completely, the vacuum doesn’t just quit running. The first bar on the battery meter will pulse for a few minutes before the vacuum shuts off. This is when having an extra battery to swap out when the first one is depleted would be nice.
I use the vacuum at least every other day, and one of the rooms I vacuum is my wife's sewing/craft room that had a lot of thread lying on the floor the first time I vacuumed. The Shark Cordless Pro Stick picked up all of the thread, plus hair throughout the house without any of it tangling up on the soft roller. The soft roller is easy to remove too; you use a coin or other object that fits into a slot in the release tab on the bottom of the floor nozzle. The tab is spring loaded and pops up when you unlock it, then you pull it up to remove the soft roller. Reverse the procedure to reinstall the soft roller.
As one other reviewer noted, it’s not very loud, it makes a low frequency droning sound. If you’re using just the vacuum as a hand held vacuum, the sound is different and has a higher frequency. The floor nozzle pretty much cancels out the higher pitched sound of the vacuum motor.
It has three power levels; Cleansense IQ, ECO and boost. Cleansense IQ is the default setting when you first turn it on. This mode senses when there is more dirt and debris being picked up and the motor will speed up for extra suction power, then slow back down to the normal level. There is a white LED graph on the floor nozzle that indicates how much debris it’s sensing. The Cleansense IQ mode works even if you’re using the extension with or without an attachment as there are sensors at the connections that detect the amount of debris passing through. Pressing a switch on the rear of the handle will put it in ECO mode which has the slowest speed and noise level, but also the lowest suction power. It is also where you will get the best battery life. Pressing the switch again will put it in boost mode and will give you the highest level of suction at the cost of battery run time. The Cleansense IQ mode is all I use because it only provides more suction when it's needed.
The Shark Cordless Pro Stick vacuum allows me to complete my vacuuming in less time than it takes with my corded vacuum. No more plugging in a cord only to have to unplug it and plug it in somewhere else when I reached as far as the cord allowed. With the Shark Cordless Pro Stick I just move from one room to another with no stopping so I'm finished in much less time.
It has two bright LED lights, one on each front corner which helps in areas that are dimly lit or shadowed by furniture or other objects, (me), and they do a good enough job.
The dust cup is easy to empty, hold it down in the trash bin and press the release button. The spring is strong and opens the door quickly so the dirt and debris falls out just as quickly. The dust cup comes off easily for cleaning by pressing a button on the inlet side of the dust cup.
All of the filters are in one location; between the dust cup and the handle/vacuum assembly. Once you remove the dust cup, there are two filters in the end; a fiber filter, and under it a foam filter. The HEPA filter is a cartridge that is in the handle portion. It is remove by pulling on the raised circle that surrounds the vacuum impeller. All of the filters can be cleaned; Shark states to rinse them with water only and allow them to air dry completely.
The Odor Neutralizer Technology works well to keep objectionable odors in check. I have mine set to the lowest of three settings and it works just fine. The vacuum will not run without the cartridges in place, but once they are depleted, I imagine you can just leave them in place if you don't want to replace them as they are a little pricey. You’ll just have a regular vacuum cleaner without any odor neutralizer at that point.
Another point that a couple of reviewers pointed out about the duster crevice tool; the duster part gets in the way of using the crevice tool to its full length. All you have to do is take them apart and you have full access to the crevice tool. This can be done two ways; the quickest way is to pull them apart quickly. If you think that will eventually break the latches, slide the duster to the end until the latch engages, then press firmly on the latch release while pushing up on the duster. To reinstall it press the latch release as you slide the duster back onto the crevice tool.
I highly recommend this vacuum; it has made it so I don’t mind vacuuming the floor every other day. There is no cord to plug in and keep moving when the vacuum won't reach any further, and it picks up the dirt and debris just as well as our corded upright vacuum does.

This is a great unit. The led lights, variable speed auto sensing, freshness canister, and battery run time are all great features. I have run the vacuum for 50 mins on one charge before it stopped and it never stopped providing good suction. For a cordless model, this has performed excellent so far. When broken down to hand mode, the attachments fit a bit strangely as if designed as an after thought. I don’t use it this way very often but this could be improved. I really like this unit.

I was very nervous about buying a stick vacuum, I've never owned one before and I saw a lot of mixed reviews on the models I looked at, including this one. I'm relieved to say that so far it has met my needs very well.
First, you should know that the battery only lasts about 30 minutes. That works fine for my small one bedroom, I've only had the battery die while cleaning once, and it charged pretty fast when plugged back in. You can't use it while it's plugged in, so you will need to rely on the battery.
The main reason I got a stick vacuum is for the convenience of removing the floor attachment and using it to vacuum the ceiling and behind furniture, that sort of thing. Unfortunately the floor attachment isn't as easy to remove as I'd like, you need to release it where the attachment connects. I would really prefer a button by the handle to release it, especially considering the end of the wand can get webs and stuff on it from cleaning so I don't really like having to touch it. That said, the release buttons work well and the attachments connect securely. I've included photos of the attachment releases, they're both located on the back of the vacuum.
The vacuum is a little hefty for me when cleaning high-up areas, I do need to use both hands to steady it, but it still works well. For vacuuming the floor it is light and maneuverable.
The suction has been fine for everyday use. I've vacuumed up a few large bugs with it and it handled that well. The only time the suction has fallen short is for vacuuming bugs out of corners. It really needs to be pressed flat over a bug to get enough suction, so corner bugs can be tricky.
Overall I'm very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone with a small apartment that only needs light cleaning.

The vacumn is great as far as convenience, flexibility with attachments, and the spaces it can reach. The sound is relatively low. I have two issues. It takes a while to clean dog hair from my tight knit area rugs. They are like persian rugs. Because it takes a while to do 2 area rugs, the battery doesn’t last past 20 minutes. The batteries are too expensive to buy a spare.

Im living in a motorhome so i needed something small. It works for me its lighter than my last one but not sure how i feel about the part sliding up the tube extension instead of just coming off. So far so good. My last shark died on me, so if this doesn't last im going with another brand.

Full Function Vacuum in Small Cordless Package

The Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum with Clean Sense IQ is definitely on the smaller size compared to some other cordless stick vacuums. However, the Cordless Pro is packed with features and is not to be overlooked. We have an 1,100 sqft. condo with both carpeting and hardwood flooring and a dog so this vacuum really hit the mark. It's light, easy to manage and has plenty of power to take on the deepest of rugs and complete the job on a single charge.
Unboxing - The Shark Cordless Pro Vacuum was well boxed and is very straight forward to put together and operate for the first time. Assembly is easy as there are only a handful of parts in the box. The vacuum, long wand and vacuum base, battery, battery charger, odor neutralizer cartridge and 2 sets of handheld wands. The odor neutralizer cartridge needs to be taken out of a sealed bag and screwed into the vacuum base. All the pieces simply snap together to form a standard upright vacuum or handheld vacuum. There are stickers on the unit that assist with assembly.
Performance - As noted previously this is a relatively small vacuum and is only about 7.5 lbs. in the full vacuum configuration. The ergonomic design of the handle and LED control panel combined with the rotating base make it a snap to cover all the nooks and crannies around our condo. The LED lighting is bright and well focused out in front of the vacuum when powered on. The claimed battery life is 40 minutes on a charge, but I'm able to cover the entire 1,100 sqft. with about 1 of 3 bars of battery used in Clean Sense mode. Speaking of modes, there is Eco, HyperVelocity and Clean Sense. Essential low and high power and Clean Sense is an automatic setting that will raise and lower power depending on the amount of cleaning needed. Clean Sense is the best setting as it will change power based on flooring and amount of dirt. It takes a little getting used to looking at the meter on the base unit, but within the first couple of uses, I'm totally hooked!
The noise level is about 70 dbs in Eco mode and 79-80 on high speed which is totally tolerable and within safe noise levels for hearing. At 7.5 lbs. it's easy to maneuver.
It cleans as you would expect from a Shark device and the self cleaning roller technology really works. Our dog has longer hair and we usually have to do a lot of "hair maintenance" on other vacuums. The shark unit has been hair-free after about a week of use. The Odor Neutralizer cartridge and HEPA filters work well to keep dust and other particles from escaping into the air and we definitely notice the lack of dog and other smells in carpeting. Well done Shark!
Pros:
- Very modern design and well built vacuum
- LED control panel is simple to use and read
- Very easy to clean out with a simple touch of a button
- HEPA filter and Odor Neutralizer features removed all dog smell from our condo
- Light-weight and easy to maneuver in stick or handheld modes
- Battery life is as advertised and the removable battery is easy to charge
- Easily stored with use of simple hook design - no more balancing it in the closet!
Cons:
- Dust bin is on the smaller size, but expected for this size vacuum
Overall Thoughts - This is a great light-weight standup or handheld vacuum that should be considered by anyone looking for a smaller vacuum that really packs a punch in terms of its ability to clean a whole condo or house. It's easy to assemble and use, and with the simple little storage hooks this is the easiest vacuum to store as well. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone looking for a well-built, light-weight and feature packed cordless vacuum.

What a great little hand held

What a great little hand held! Got this item to do 1 job! That is to clean my pool table! I needed something that was powerful yet gentle. This fit the bill.
The item is quite small and easily stores out of the way. It has a few attachments for cleaning all parts of the table.
Lets start with assembly. Just a few snap together parts for the job you need. The motor/battery does store upright on the motorized head and the other attachments i keep in a drawer.
The motorized head is the winner here. As it is not the traditional brush in most vacuums rather, it has what i thought was a microfiber roll with smooth wiping "blades". This was gentle enough on my table to not induce any tearing or premature wear on the cloth. Then i followedup with the crevice tool for under the rails.
I had used this after just brushing the table and the amount of chalk this got out was impressive!!
I love the unit being cordless as i don't have to wrestle with that around the table and i just plug it in to charge when im done.
Empty the container is a simple latch and dump.
Couldn't be more pleased!
My wife is after the unit but i'm not giving it up!

THE BREAKDOWN:
This Shark Cordless Pro with Clean Sense IQ is nothing short of amazing!! This is the newest release from Shark on their lightweight cordless stick vacuums. The Clean Sense IQ does a great job at recognizing dirty and boosting the power. The PowerFins Plus Brush roll has flexible fins and microfiber material that work on most surfaces. Lastly, there is a oder neutralizer technology pack built in.
Packed in the box you will get the vacuum head, shaft piece, top piece with all the vacuum parts to include the battery with charger, a duster crevice tool and a pet multi-tool.
The Clean Sense IQ is an infrared sensor that detects dirt that you can’t see at that level and automatically increases the power to give you better dirt pickup. The Clean Sense IQ indicator actually visually show you when the floor is clean. I found this to be a great feature and worked as intended.
The LED display is great. It gives you visual readouts to monitor battery, suction levels and engaging the Cleans Sense IQ. One thing to note is when you plug this in to charge you will not see it charging on the main display. You will only see the light on the battery itself. I think I would have preferred to see it on the main display.
This vacuum states 40 minutes of runtime in the standard mode. I would have to agree with that, to be honest I was pleasantly surprised at the battery life even in the Clean Sense IQ mode I was getting close to that.
The head of vacuum has a brush head that they call PowerFins Plus. This combines Powerfins (rubber fins strategically placed) with microfiber (almost like a paint roller) that does a great job on all floor types. It does great on my carpet as well as my hard wood floors.
The odor neutralizer does work as intended. I personally do not like anything I have to replace regularly and have to spend more money on.
The debris reservoir is a fairly good size in proportion to the size of this vacuum.
You also have the ability to use this as a handheld vacuum with the provided attachments. I think that is another added feature.
PRO’s:
-Clean Sense IQ
-Multi-Surface cleaning.
-Great Battery Life
-Odor neutralizer
CON’s:
-Having to spend more money and replacing the odor neutralizer
SUMMARY:
Overall, this product worked well and as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they were in the market for device like this.

Innovative, useful, and powerful cordless vacuum

The Shark Cordless Pro with Clean Sense IQ is an excellent vacuum. The latest in a line of lithium ion rechargeable upright vacuums that harken back to the original Shark vacuum. Shark has had some hallmarks that set it apart, and the Pro includes all of them and a slew of its own features that offer a unique offering.
So first of all, unboxing the vacuum is easy enough. Inside the box you’ll find the main unit, charger, battery (preinstalled), main tube and vacuum head, and attachments (pet multi-tool, and crevice). Everything is packaged securely and the unit is basically good to go out of the box (after charging of course). There are a lot of little removable stickers that tell you how to exactly use different features of the vacuum. This is appreciated because Shark has so many unique features. There’s even a handy QR code on the main unit that will take you to the digital manual.
This cordless vacuum builds on the construction and ideas of Shark’s previous vacuums. You get a detachable main unit and will hook on the main tube for storage. You have a bagless design with an easy to empty latch. You get a small but maneuverable vacuum head. Of course many of these ideas are evolved, honed, and refined to a large extent. For instance, the dust bin is larger, and the filter conic (compared to previous designs which seemed to get wrapped up in hair/fur more often). The battery packs are similar but different from previous models (at least the previous Duo Clean I had). The vacuum head has a load of sensors, etc.
Obviously, this vacuum is attempting to appeal to a Pro-sumer (get it?). Several features of this vacuum I really like that seem to be new and unique to Shark. The first is Clean Sense IQ. This uses an infrared sensor to attempt to detect dust and adjust the power of the vacuum dynamically. It gives an indication of how ‘clean’ the floors are. Another thing unique to the vacuum head is the Odor Neutralizer cartridge, which essentially is an air freshener for your vacuum. It keeps the vacuum smelling nice and the air it spews nice as well.
Power of the vacuum is interesting. The Clean Sense IQ means that on that Clean Sense setting that it’s always adjusting power to the required level. The idea here is to save battery when you’re doing maintenance cleaning, and then having the vacuum increase power when needed in dirtier areas. For the most part this does pretty well. There is an IR sensor scanning the dirt coming into the vacuum and adjusting the power. A row of LED lights will illuminate indicating the power level being applied and the idea is that it should abate as the carpet/surface is cleaned more thoroughly giving you a visual indicator if the area is clean. Of course you can override the Clean Sense IQ behavior by selecting ‘Eco’ or Boost mode. These settings change the runtime of the vacuum - which is estimated by Shark at 40 minutes in Eco mode. That’s about accurate, and you’ll get a variable amount with Clean Sense, but I was able to do a quick clean (about 3000 sq ft) on a charge. Of course a thorough cleaning would involve taking some breaks. Recharge takes over an hour, so you’ll want to plan out more through cleanings.
The brush element is another interesting feature, having silicon fins and microfiber stuffed pretty much everywhere else. It seems to do a pretty good job picking up most debris I’ve thrown at it. I do seem to have trouble with larger pieces like cereal (thanks kids), but it will pick it up. I appreciate that it’s gentle on surfaces like hardwood.
The crevice tool has a soft bristle brush that slides out to the edge, great for cleaning corners without leaving marks on the pain. It limits the crevice tool slightly due to it sliding back only about 6” but it shouldn’t be an issue but for those with deep cushioned couches. The pet multi tool is really just a flat brush with a removable soft bristle brush. It works pretty well on my microfiber couches without the bristle attachment.
The Order Neutralizer is an interesting feature and I can’t say I've noticed a huge difference (but I have been congested, so subjectively I might be missing it). Cartridges are $15 for 2, and you only get one in the box. I appreciate the idea, but I don’t know how often I’ll be replacing it.
Another great feature of this vacuum for those with allergies is the built in HEPA filter. This was hard to find, but luckily companies like Shark have listened to the market and brought .3 micron filters to the masses. The HEPA filter is important to those that suffer from dust, dander, or pollen allergies. Vacuums can exacerbate environmental allergens by picking them up and spewing them out at high speed in the air. Having an appropriate filter to capture these microscopic particles is essential. Also, the filter is washable, which is a huge convenience.
Maintenance is pretty simple. The entire container is washable, but you have to remove it by pushing an eject button found on the right side. That will allow you to remove the foam filters and then the plastic dust bin can be soaked and cleaned. The brush roll removes easily too, with a coin (or screw driver) to turn a lock cam. Once turned, it’s a spring loaded arm that you can then pull the entire brush roll out by. At this point, every tube/vacuum area is easily accessible - so if something gets stuck (cat toys anyone?), you can easily disassemble the vacuum to remove it. Overall, maintenance and build quality seemed to be higher than ever.
Shark continues to innovate off the original stick vacuum concept they helped pioneer. I still remember my OG Shark vacuum and how effective it was. Years later, I continue to love their products, especially their cordless models, as they are effective for the price and innovative.
