Shark Rocket Cordless Stick Vacuum - IX141 Summary: A relatively light weight but well built battery powered stick vacuum. Pros: * Its relatively light weight. * It easily breaks down for maintenance and storage. * The main chamber/barrel handles well. * It features great suction/cleaning power. * It is battery powered! * The unit seems to deliver the promised ~40 minute of use time. Cons: * It can take a long while to charge. I don't really know what is typical for this device category, but I'd say more than several hours to obtain a full charge. * It doesn't feature a mounting bracket, station, or similar to store it up and off the floor. i.e. I would like to just park it. But you have to physically insert and remove the charging cable from the device. This means a lot of wear on the charging cable vs just resting the device on contacts. Use: The vacuum handled itself pretty well. We have a smaller hand held that we intended for use with our cars. Unfortunately, it wasn't small enough for the nooks and crannies so we brought it inside where it served as a light spot vacuum for floor and couch messes (we do have dogs that we occasionally allow on the couch). But the vacuum isn't that powerful and it is not so convenient for longer jobs or jobs requiring reach. We also have a much more substantial Dyson Ball vacuum that works wonders. But it is corded and it is much heavier than needed for spot cleaning. We had to downsize into an apartment after we sold our home, but we still need to clean. These other vacuums aren't well suited to the job due to lack of power, too much power, form factor, or storage space required. Once we decide on a house, that will change. But for now... We needed something that could be easily brought to bear against spot messes, quick cleanups around the apartment, clean the couch, and have easy reach. This unit fit the bill! Within minutes we realized just how much our cleaning regiment will be altered with this unit. Once we click assembled the standard stick mode, we put it to use on a medium jute area rug. We have a corgi. Corgis are... difficult to keep after. We also have a robotic vacuum that works magic every day at 1pm. The robot's bin is consistently full, so we didn't expect this vacuum to have much to do. Boy were we wrong! After just a few easy sweeps back and forth the chamber showed what a mess was present. This test run was shortly after the robot's regularly scheduled job and the Shark's chamber was already filling with debris and fur (attached picture). We proceeded to give the whole apartment a cleaning for good measure and it was so much easier than lugging the larger one around, fighting with the hose or bending over or reaching with the smaller unit, or having to set the robot for a second or third daily cleaning. The dual "modes" for carpet or flat (i.e. wood) ensures optimal performance across surfaces. The sliding "power" mode to increase suction strength was also evident in its ability to lift heavier debris. All in all, this unit is definitely a great work horse and a something every household should consider for their cleaning arsenal. Note: Other vacuum models referenced are: Dyson DC50 (corded all purpose) Black and Decker Pivot (cordless handheld) Ecovacs DEEBOT N79SE (robotic)

Worked for a couple days Poor suction Clogs easy Plastic part just like broke off Carpet attachment is always needing maintenance every single use No filter replacements were included and the filter sucks Vent part at the top sounds like it is going to blow up or is being overworked even when fully cleaned out tube / attachment / bin is empty / filter was washed and entirely air dried … Just absolutely NOT worth the price it is being retailed at. I would say $39.99 and it would be a good buy. Highly disappointed.

I was using a corded upright Dyson for about five years before getting this unit. Dyson is very powerful but the cord was not convenient when you have to keep plugging/unplugging from room to room. This Shark Rocket Cordless solved that problem for me. The assembly out of the box was very simple, although I was surprised it didn't come already assembled since the box was pretty lengthy. I let the battery charge overnight - probably didn't have to charge that long but it was definitely fully charged by the following morning. My home has three types of floor - carpet, engineered wood and tiles - and this vacuum cleaner worked very well on all three surfaces. It was such an instant gratification to see the dust bunnies accumulate inside the clear canister. Disposing of those dust bunnies were very easy. Just make sure you place the unit inside a plastic bag, so it's less messy. Turning the unit to handheld is simple and worked nicely as well. I was able to vacuum the entire home (about 1,200 sq. feet) in about 30 min. and the unit was still fully charged. The only negative is that it cannot stand on its own, so it has to lay flat on the floor. I initially had it standing up but it kept falling because it's top heavy. Otherwise, this is a great vacuum cleaner and I highly recommend it.

    Expected Better

First the good features are its lightweight and balanced in my hand when using. The parts snap together easy. Suction was good. The bad features are the need to clean after using once is horrible. The pet hairs are quickly wrapped up in the roller and wheels. You have to unscrew and detach the plate, pull apart the tiny wheels that are so small and have a washer and a pin and then pick off the hairs. I do not look forward to this clean up after every use. You need to detach the motor from the top and place it on a clip at the bottom of the shaft in order for it to stand upright and not fall over. For double the price you can get a better roller that is not a brush. Way overpriced in my opinion.

I think the best way to review this new Shark cordless vac is by stating what it is, and what it does well, and what it’s not. It has Shark’s typical excellent build quality and ease of use. It's well enough packaged to survive even rough shipping, and it’s simple to assemble. Snap-in the wand and connect the beater head for upright use, or just snap on an attachment for handheld use. All the parts snap in place with locking connectors, so pieces aren’t going to fall off. The only other part is the charger since the battery is built-in. It’s also amazingly light and easy to use. With the beater head, there are two settings on the power switch … bare floors and carpet. The only other control is the “turbo” trigger for increased power (and short battery life). The low profile head is good for getting under furniture and low items. It’s also bagless and easy to empty, but do that over a large wastebasket or such to control dust and spill. As a handheld, without the long upright tube, it’s exceptionally light and easy to use. I found this great for stairs, and it would be pretty decent as a car vac. As with all Shark vacuums, it has LED headlights on the beater assembly which are actually a great help in cleaning. What it’s not, in my opinion, is a whole-house upright vacuum. The run time is listed as up to 40 minutes, but that’s without the powered beater head. Battery time drops to 20 minutes in that mode, and down to 10 minutes with the turbo switch activated. The battery is built-in, so there’s no swapping in another if you run out of juice. There’s just the slow, plug-in charger and a few hours wait time. It doesn’t have Shark’s excellent no hair clogging head, and it just doesn’t have the power and suction of a corded upright. A strange omission in my mind is that there is no way or provision to hang it up for storage and charging. It cannot stand upright on its own, but it can be leaned against a wall. With that said, keep in mind that it’s about half the price of that famous English brand. In conclusion, it’s a quick, easy and very lightweight stand up vacuum for spot jobs, and for those in-between times when you don’t want to haul out the big, corded vac. It would be easy for kids to operate to clean up spills and such. Being very lightweight also makes it a great hand vac for cars, stairs and such. If you live in a small house or apartment, it could be the only vacuum you need.

The Shark - Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum is a versatile and powerful vacuum cleaner that can pick up dirt, debris, and pet hair from all types of floors. The vacuum is lightweight and maneuverable. Comes with attachments that make it easy to clean from floor to ceiling. The vacuum has a runtime long enough to clean my house. It's nice not to have bags to change, but a dust cup that is easy to empty.

Bought 12/18/20. Charged and use it the next day...love it!! My small dog sheds a lot! I have a reg shark vacuum and this new one does great! Lighter weight, maneuvers, gets under things, section is really good too! Go from vacumm and hand held easy! Also my reg shark does a little kick back of dirty this one doesn't. It sucks it all up! I go from hardwood to low carpet to throw rugs good! It does have a good suckion so be careful on it is a throw rugs. I thought hair would get all Tangled on the rollers but not too bad. The battery life is pretty good but would be nice to have an extra one for the days I vacumm everything plus the couch..which the attachments worked great to get pet hair off of. My 20 year old son said he couldn't hear the vacumm up stairs, pretty quiet for being a vacuum also he eager to use it because of the easy to use and no cord!! There isn't a holder for it, but it does fold down for easy storage. Love this vacuum!

This Shark Rocket vacuum is remarkable. So powerful and able to reach everywhere in our home, moving quick an easy being it so lightweight. It is the absolute perfect complement to our Ion Robot 750; for in areas not suitable for robotic devices. Simple to assemble, and completely portable. Very effective for remediation of pet hair on furniture. Light is bright enough to be handy in low-light or dark situations if needed. Oh, and the battery comes with a 2 year warranty! You can't beat this device! /EltonVoice And I think it's gonna be a long long time 'Till me need another vacuum to find... I'm a Rocket fan!

I recently purchased the Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum, and it has been a total game-changer for my cleaning routine. This vacuum is lightweight, super easy to maneuver, and perfect for both quick cleanups and deep cleaning sessions. The suction power is impressive, easily picking up dust, crumbs, and pet hair from both hardwood floors and carpets. I love the cordless design—it’s so convenient not to worry about plugging and unplugging while moving between rooms. The battery life is great, giving me enough time to clean multiple areas without needing a recharge. The swivel head makes it easy to reach tight spaces, and the detachable handheld vacuum is a fantastic bonus for furniture and hard-to-reach spots. Overall, the Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum is a fantastic investment for anyone looking for a powerful, versatile, and hassle-free cleaning solution. Highly recommend!

I bought it on Thanksgivings Black Friday. It is light weight and easy to use. The suction power is suitable for daily cleaning use. The accessories are easy to attach and detach. The battery lasts about 35 minutes at medium speed. Will see how long it actually lasts after a few months.
