Great vacuum but attachments suck! I do like the hose that was included with this vacuum it’s great for cleaning my computer but most of the attachments have these vent holes that compromise the suction quality. My Mom has a different model shark and that’s why I went with a shark and I though this vacuum was awful because the suction quality was terrible using the attachments but when I used her attachments on my vacuum it worked great . I actually put duct tape around the holes on the attachments to try to improve the quality. That’s my only gripe . The self cleaning brush role isn’t magic you have to read the directions. It says you have to continuously move the vacuum back and forth for it to clean the brush role . It works great I never had an issue and I have alopecia so lots of loose hairs and hairs shedding from my wigs .I also like that the hair is separate into a different compartment when emptying the canister.

I have a Shark Flex duo which is a similar design, basically the Shark Rocket Zero-M Stick Vacuum is a what I would consider an updated version. This model has less "flex" which in this case my wife said is improved as the Zero-M seems more secure and controllable.
As for the cleaning, the suction is on par with other vacuums of this type, picked up lots of dust and dirt from medium depth carpet, easily transitioned between hardwood floors, linoleum, tile and very low pile carpet surfaces. Also due to the design of this unit you can pretty much clean under a king size bed without much of a struggle.
Very bright LED lights on both the powered brush portion AND on the base power head, which is handy when using the tools with the power head portion. Easy to switch between cleaning modes by disconnecting the stick portion and using attachments, almost using it as a hand vac, attachments also connect to the end of the stick portion to provide a lot of flexibility for different use cases, although the suction when using the edge tool with a brush not as strong as you would like, but does the trick for cleaning air conditioning vents in home and car.
Genius idea to be able to see through the bottom of the rotating brush as it helps with knowing when hair needs to be removed. I believe the brush is designed to maximize the amount of hair suctioned up, minimizing how much hair remains in the brush. The dirt collection cup is large and has good capacity, love the small metal collection area for things you might want to retrieve if you accidentally vacuumed them up.
The only real issue my wife had with this vacuum is the handle is a little too big to grip for long period of time, as with most vacuums, it is like holding the middle of a baseball bat. The quote was “Would be awesome if someone would design a vacuum with a small grip with women’s hands in mind!”
Overall this is another great product from Shark, there continues to be notable effort made to design efficient, powerful units which evolve over time with incremental design improvements.
Pros:
- Powerful and maneuverable
- Multiple configurations and attachments for cleaning flexibility
- Long power cord
- Easily cleanable, with washable filters
Cons:
- A bit loud
- Handle grip is a bit thick

Full size power in a low profile design

This vacuum has the power and suction of a full-size vacuum in a go anywhere, reach anywhere, low profile design.
Setup:
The components fit together perfectly and can be easily configured in a few different ways. Once I did it a few times, it is easy to use and configure.
Design and Use:
The two basic configurations are: standard floor and hand held.
In the standard floor mode, the steering and maneuverability are the best I have ever used. I can get to places with this vacuum that I could never reach with my old vacuum.
It comes with a nice assortment of attachment tools that can be used to reach the tightest of spaces.
Even though this vacuum is slim and light, it is very powerful. The powerful suction deeply cleans, and I was impressed with how much dust and particles it captured.
I was especially impressed that the brush roll does not get tangled. I don’t know how it works, but can confirm that it does truly works! No more cutting annoying hairs and fibers out of roller head.
The dust cup is very easy to snap on and off, and I like that it empties straight down with the push of a button. Just hold it over the trash can, and the particles fall straight in.
The hand and floor sections have bright LED lights.
The hand vacuum is especially useful for keeping an automobile clean when used with the crevice tools
.
Another feature I REALLY like is the extra-long 30 foot cord that allows me to do a lot of cleaning without having to change outlets as often.
Verdict:
There is a lot to like about this vacuum. It is lightweight, cleverly designed to have several different configurations, has a ridiculous amount of suction, and goes places other vacuums could never fit.
Tips and Tricks:
There are two configurations for storage. The configuration I am using is to place the hand unit directly on top of the floor section. This allows me to store it upright on the floor.
The other configuration is to hang it on the wall using the included wall mount.

Great for Stairs

The ZS350 Shark Rocket vacuum is a corded ultra-light stick vacuum. It is a bagless vacuum with several attachments and a wall storage mount. Prior to this purchase I used an upright lift-off vacuum for my floors and crevice tools and a separate battery powered vacuum for my stairs. I saw this and thought that it could be a good replacement for my battery powered vacuum that seems to run out of power before I can complete the entire stairway.
Let’s start with accessories. The vacuum comes with the handheld vacuum, cleaner head (floor attachment), a wand, 5” crevice tool, pet multi-tool (unpowered), precision duster, and a wall mount.
More about the vacuum. It comes with a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty. There are two settings that control the speed of the brushroll in the cleaner head. Setting 1 is for bare floors and area rugs. Setting 2 is for high pile carpets. There are two filters that are washable, and it is recommended by Shark to wash once a month. The cleaner head has LED lights that shine toward the front. The upright design puts the motor and collection container near the handle. You need to be comfortable pushing and pulling an object that weighs roughly 8 lbs (estimated) in order to use this.
Using the vacuum. The Shark Rocket is pretty versatile in the fact that it has tools to do most surfaces and is designed to get into smaller places. I had some trouble using it because I was so use to the upright style. The weight is at the top instead of the bottom. It seemed more awkward to maneuver that the upright. The cleaner head is narrower than an upright, so it seemed to take longer to vacuum because I had to take more passes due to less coverage. You couldn’t stop and move something without having to completely lay the vacuum down. It doesn’t balance standing up. These are all things associated with the stick vacuum design, not necessarily Shark’s product. Ironically, some of these qualities proved useful in certain cases. The narrower head design could reach places that the upright couldn’t. Having a handheld vacuum was easier than dragging around the lift-off canister that I was used to. These were trade-offs due to the nature of the different product types.
I tested all of the accessories except the wall mount. There’s an option to store it standing up by releasing the handheld section and mounting it near the base, so I didn’t use the wall mount. The wand is a simple tube. There’s no telescoping, so the length is what it is. The crevice tool had an odd notch in it, but it didn’t seem to affect any of the cleaning properties. The pet multi-tool was a normal flat suction tool with an optional rubbery accessory to grip things like hair. The precision duster was the attachment that surprised me. I looked at it and thought that it wouldn’t be useful at all. Then, I used it and found that it was super-handy for the area around the bottom of my stair balusters. The brush tip would move the dust and dog hair and it sucked it into the canister. The flexible tube made it easy to maneuver, and the small-sized end was great to get between the balusters. The only problem with all of these accessories is that there’s no place to attach them to the vacuum. You have to store them separately and go retrieve them when you need them.
Suction. This vacuum has very good suction power. I have two dogs with different types of hair (coarse and soft). The Shark Rocket was able to pick it up quite easily.
Collection container. The dust cup is smaller than what I have on my upright, but it is considered a larger container than most for a stick vacuum. It has an odd shape, and I thought that it would be hard to take off and put back on, but it wasn’t. It was actually really easy, and I didn’t make a mess when I removed it.
Using it for stairs. This is what sold me on this vacuum. My battery powered vacuum would run out before I could get finished, and on top of that I still had to use the lift-off to do the crevices. With the Shark Rocket I didn’t have to worry about power. Because it’s corded, there’s no battery to run down. I don’t lose suction because of the lack of power. Since it wasn’t losing power, it actually cleaned better. Also, the accessory tools did a good job. I was able to combine the handheld, wand, and crevice tool which allowed me to not have to bend down to do the area where the carpets meet the baseboards. For me, that was a back-saver.
Overall, this is a good vacuum. I had trouble getting use to something new, but for the design it really works well. As far as recommending the Shark Rocket, it depends on how you will use it. If you are vacuuming an expansive floor space, then you should look at something else. If you have multiple surfaces, stairs, or tight spaces then this vacuum may be a great option.

Too bulky to be handheld, to weak to be upright

Maybe it’s because this is the first stick vacuum I have ever attempted to use, but I was not impressed.
For the good side of things, this vacuum can get into places not many others can. When using it as an upright you can lay it nearly flat and get under low tables. You can detach the Zero M cleaner head from the bottom of the wand, attach the pet multi-tool and then reach your ceiling. It has an LED light on the main unit and a couple of them on the cleaner head. It was super simple to assemble and just as easy to convert into the various configurations and empty the canister. It is fairly light weight, but bulky in size.
Essentially this is like one of them handheld battery operated vacuums, but with a 30 foot cord. Though you don’t have to worry about charge and potential loss of power, this one isn’t much more powerful. Just trying to vacuum pet dander off of my couch left a lot to desire. Having the XL capacity dust cup is also what adds to the bulkiness of it and makes using it as a handheld even worse. It comes with a precision duster tool, which includes a short hose. Had they made that hose possible to attach the pet multi-tool or crevice tool it might have impressed me a bit more, but you can’t. This little duster tool made me feel like I should be dusting doll furniture and the way it is designed you can’t get very strong suction with it, so using it in crevices was useless.
Being that the main piece of the vacuum is intended to be handheld, when using it as an upright, it is extremely top heavy. There’s no letting go of this while you are vacuuming and then coming back to it. You must lay it down or take it apart every time or it will fall over. Leaning it on a wall works sometimes, but the slightest off balance and it is in the floor anyways. This also leads to odd storage. Though it has a wall mount clip, if you aren’t using that, you clip it to the wand, then wrap the cord around the wand and store like a regular vacuum. When stored like this, it actually took more space than my Shark Duo Clean upright (pictured).
Another thing, and maybe this is just my unit, but there are three filters, two inside and one on the bottom. The two inside can be accessed from the top that says “Clean filters monthly” while the one on the bottom is near the plug and just says “Clean filter.” Once I removed the cover from that filter, it continues to pop off, especially when the vacuum gets a hard suction and releases quickly. So I have this cover and filter just randomly popping off the handheld unit all the time.
I like Shark, I have an Ion Bot and the Duo Clean, but this Rocket Zero-M handheld stick vacuum does not do it for me. It’s too cumbersome to use as a regular vacuum, too bulky to use as a handheld vacuum and really not more powerful than a cordless vacuum.

SHARK - Rocket Zero-M Bagless Pet Handheld/Stick Vacuum: Shark's stick vac has very high performance and a useful selection of features. The Shark Rocket Zero is designed to prevent hair wrap (pets/humans?) as you vacuum and we had no problems on that front. It’s also designed to be versatile, switching with minimal fuss or effort between a handheld vac with a few attachments (wand or brush) to a motorized floor or carpet cleaner (2 speeds) with a swivel head (lighted) that makes maneuvering easy. We especially liked the relatively easy and manageable design that allows an average strength person to vacuum drapes or high door trim. The motor balance and lighter attachments encourage all sorts of height challenging cleaning tasks.
SETUP is no-instructions-needed easy. Everything aligns and fits together intuitively. The cord has a logically placed wrap and there is even an attachment that lets you snap an extra attachment to the primary wand. Cleaning out the large dust collection bin is also very easy. The clean, simple design of the Shark makes the process neat, and again, fuss free.
COMMENTS: I always test noise level, and unfortunately, this is as loud as most other stick vacs on the market. At 1 meter the lower speed is 80db, with a high pitch, measured by my uncalibrated iPhone App, and the higher speed is 85dB. Shark’s larger uprights measure 10 db quieter. My quiet home is typically 40-45db. This seems to be the trade-off you make to get high suctioning from a small, light-weight motor. (It’s also a great excuse for noise-cancelling headphones.)
Be aware that the typical stick vacuum design forces you to make a few trade offs. There’s no concern about power delivery . . . it’s corded. Sharks’s cord is fairly lightweight and wraps conveniently, but it’s long and you have to deal with it. This is a lightweight, powerful vacuum, with average bulk. However, that means the motor weight is all in the top of the handle, even if it is decently balanced. Shark provides a hanging bracket for your wall because the vac will NOT stand freely. And, YOU, not the floor, are supporting the weight of the motor during your vacuuming task. Test the weight in the store, because you may find it fatiguing.
SUMMARY: The Shark Rocket Stick vacuum feels and performs like one of the better designed corded stick vacuums. It has a very high quality feel and finish. It solves a lot of vacuuming problems. My rating addresses my issue with the noise and “weight fatigue” factor. I was impressed with the performance and features of the Shark Rocket.

I realize now I was crazy, but I expected this to act like a traditional vacuum. It doesn't. It's super speedy because of the compact size, but much of the bulk you usually have to push around with a traditional vacuum is instead being held in your hands. I have the usual amount of strength you expect from a 30-something Mom with a day job, but it felt a little heavy using the vacuum. I got more accustom to it as I use it, so I don't think that will have a huge impact on my use, but you have to go in expecting it. Of course with the compact size, you don't cover nearly as much territory quickly so I wouldn't use this to replace my standard vacuum to cover the whole house, but there are definitely jobs where I will look to this Shark to get the job done...like my 6 year old son's room. This worked like a dream. There's a light on the wand and vacuum head so you get a little extra visibility to all the randomness you risk vacuuming up in a child's room. Whoops! There goes that small piece of paper that was part of a "project" they've been creating for a couple hours. And if you manage to miss something, there's a little compartment that pulls the pieces out separately so you don't toss them with the dirt, dust and cat hair you vacuumed up from the floor. How many Moms or Dads out there have had their kid asking about the one LEGO piece they can't seem to find? You can always blame that darn cat that seems to love feasting on tiny LEGO pieces, but deep down you know it was probably vacuumed up a day ago and it wasn't loud enough to get your attention. Sure, they should take better care of their toys, but who likes having a LEGO project that's missing that one piece so next thing you know you're contacting LEGO to try to get a replacement. If only you sorted through that dusty, dirty, hairy dirt cup on your vacuum cleaner every time before you threw out that dirt just in case. Alas, who has time for that! Now the vacuum does it for you and you get to save the day. Thanks, Shark!
Other highlights include the wand. You can quickly detach it from the vacuum head and get into the nooks and crannies to pick up every last bit of dirt. Super easy! I plan to put that feature to use in the car. You know it's always too dark to see every little spot where you really need to get the vacuum and then a little sunlight highlights every little spot you missed. The light on the wand should solve that problem and it's a little more compact than the wand on my Dyson so it should get in between the seats and those tiny spots when I vacuum the car. There's a bunches of other tools for a variety of jobs. I look forward to dusting my drapes and trying it out on a few other little jobs where the traditional vacuum sometimes fails me.
All in all, I would recommend this Shark if you have a small space or need a vacuum that can better accommodate your needs in some of those more unique cleaning situations like drapes, car seats and the dangerous bedroom floors of small children.

Our old vacuum's motor started to make some noises so we determined it was time to get something new. I wanted to get something a little easier to maneuver to make it easier to clean sofas and rugs so we decided to get this Shark stick vacuum.
Getting the vacuum out of the box and setup took all of 5 minutes and it took that long because I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything because it was too easy. Connect the stick to the motor on one end and the cleaner head on the other and you are all done.
This comes with an attachment clip and a couple of attachments. Very self-explanatory, which is a good thing since the instructions don't show you how to use them.
We vacuumed a rug and the living room with the old vacuum and then did it again with the Shark. The amount of dirt that it picked up was surprising since it was just vacuumed. We dog sit for our daughter's dogs a couple of times a week and this one picked up a lot of hair missed by our old vacuum.
One thing that annoys me is when products are shipped without all the necessary parts to complete the setup. There is a wall mount provided; however, they don't provide screws or anchors to install them.
Other than that, this vacuum does what it is designed to do. It cleans carpeted floors, rugs, and upholstery very well and I would recommend it.

This is the best vacuum we have ever used. Once out of the box you will notice the instructions and assembly took less than 10 mins. The design of this vacuum is excellent and light, easy to use, versatile.
I have used it in multiple places in my home and it worked flawlessly with no issues. The powerful suction pulls the dirt from far places. The canister is transparent and it will reveal how fast it fills. It empties without any need to contact the dust. The simple design of the attachments and detachable hose makes them useful. With low profile attachments, it becomes relatively easy to reach under the sofas and tables.
I have used on hard floors as well as carpets and it provides deep-carpet cleaning, and powerful suction to pick up debris from hard floors. The bagless technology saves time and energy with no bags to buy or replace. The suction is really good with 120V motor.
The Crevice tool allows you to clean in tight spaces with combination of dusting brush/upholstery tool helps you clean your furniture thoroughly. With the touch of a button, this vacuum cleaner transforms into a lightweight, portable handheld vacuum to take your cleaning above the floor - on furniture, stairs
It comes with .2 gallon dust cup and holds good amount of dirt. The 30" cord enables you to clean a large area before needing to change outlets. Filter has to be cleaned every month and It is top of the unit.
I will say that this vacuum works very well everywhere in any type of floors.

This vacuum has a good suction power. It suctions pretty much everything that is small in size such as dust, dirt, hair, food crumbs, and other small debris. I like that the hair does not get stuck and tangled in the roll as advertised. The versatility is another aspect I like about this product. However, aside from these pros, the 2 only things I don't like about this is that the air that is being filtered out hits you. Another thing is when I'm not using it, I have to rest the vacuum on the floor. I would like it if it had the feature to stand up by its own when not in use.

I love this vacuum. The cord is long. My 26x28 foot family room is all carpet and I have a dog. I usually have to empty the canister half way thru but this is a giant room. The filers need cleaned regular but they are simple. I ordered second set because you can’t use them wet after washing. The vacuum is light but does not stand up on its own. That doesn’t bother me. I have never used the attachments. I think the price was a little high.

I exchanged the Dyson - V6 Animal Cord Free Vacuum - Nickel/Purple I purchased for this because of the Dyson’s 20 minute battery life on that cordless model. I am pleased with the Shark. I decided on a corded model specifically for the unlimited battery life. It does the job and cleans better than I expected. The dirt cup holds quite a bit and the storage is very compact. Beacuase all the weight is in the top part of the handle you can’t store it as is but there is a very handy hook at the bottom for the top. I originally bought this for cleaning the stairs but now use it for the whole house. Gave only 4 stars due to all the weight being at the handle and cost. Why are vacuums sooo expensive? I also like the lights on this model and that the base attaches directly to the top (minus the extender pole) something many other models of a similar product don’t do. This alone makes tackling the stairs bearable without killing my back. I have a shark upright. So, if you have one too, you know what to expect. This won’t disappoint.

Cleans well and I like the fact that it has a light so you can see clearly the area you are vacuuming. Easy to empty and vacuuming up hair is easy to deal with.
Some negatives, too It is heavier than I anticipated and top heavy. It doesn't want to stand upright . So you must prop it up or lay it down.
I wanted a corded vacuum because I had two previously cordless vacuums which stopped working and would not hold a charge. They were a different brand.
