Being an HVAC tech for decades, I've dealt with a lot of things that move and condition air. I've also reviewed several air purifiers since being part of TIN. One, in particular, was a Dyson fan / air purifier. I compared the Shark to it, air flow wise, because they are very similar in that respect. The Shark is a fan only. It doesn’t purify the air in any way, like the Dyson does. All it has is a very basic dust filter to keeps its internals clean. Not to filter the air in a room. The Shark fan is certainly a unique design and has a small footprint when in vertical mode. Height is adjustable along with the rotation and aiming of its air blades. The remote allows you to rotate the base with the included remote control. You can also set it to auto rotate to varying degrees of sweep as well. The arms can be at any angle from vertical to horizontal and the blades rotated in similar fashion. When the arms are vertical, you can set it to blow straight, right and left, one straight and the other R or L. With the arms out, you can do the same, except R and L is up and down. And the same when they are diagonal. Again, with the blades rotated to any varying degree. (180-degree sweep) However, you will need to allow room for the arms to move and not hit anything if you plan on rotating it with the arms out. Adjusting the height and arms are a manual operation. Only rotating the base and auto sweep are power operations controlled from the remote. The fan was well packed in cardboard Eco packaging. The “quick start” instructions are clear and easy to follow, and assembly was easy, too. There are 5 rubber pads on the base that keep it in place. The IR remote comes with batteries and can be stored on top of the arm hub magnetically. The fan draws air into the base through a basic dust filter and blows it up the tube and out into the arms where it exits the slits in the arms. The dust filter is a fine plastic mesh that’s easy to remove and clean. The fan is almost silent at its lowest setting and quieter that average at its highest. There are 10 fan speed levels. Five LEDs in a row on the front are used to indicate fan speed. Speeds one through five, they are lit steady, six through ten, they flash. The fan has a timer with 1, 2, 4, 8 and 12 hour settings. There’s a specialty mode button on the remote for Sleep (slow), Breeze Boost (blows hard) and Natural Breeze (“gentle” random speeds). Auto rotate, also called “sweep”, gives you the options for 45, 90 and 180 degree rotation sweeps. It doesn’t have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. For what it’s worth, I got out my anemometer and measured the speed of the air coming out of the arms. I set the sensor up at 2 inches away from the air slits near the hub and near the tips. Air flow was slightly faster at the tips, as I expected. I also checked the speed with the pedestal retracted and extended. There was very little difference. One tenth of an mph, two tenths km/h. I also set the sensor up at 2 inches from the edge of the Dyson. Air speed is about a third less than the Shark. Doing a CFM (cubic feet per minute) wasn’t possible without constructing a test rig to duct the air. Shark: Readings near hub, in MPH; Low 2.9, Med 6.5, High 12 Readings near tips, in MPH; Low 3.3, Med 7.3, High 13.2 Dyson: Readings middle of ellipse, in MPH; Low 2, Med 4.1, High 8.5 Even though the air flow out of the Shark is at a higher velocity, it’s the quieter of the two at the highest setting. About a third quieter. At the lowest setting, they are virtually the same. Conclusion: I like this fan and my wife loves it. I’m sure she will be the one using it. The arms and all the positions and adjustments they offer, make this fan very versatile. Highly recommended.

I usually love Shark small appliances—they tend to deliver rock-solid performance at prices that usually beat, rather than just compete, with other brands of similar quality & features. That’s why it pains me to say that this TurboBlade fan of theirs misses the mark on several key areas, one of which is pretty well unforgiveable, especially for a premium fan like this. That’s not to say some won’t be wowed by the styling--Shark has definitely produced something distinctive in the TurboBlade. I use mine vertically in roomy 2-person office. At least half a dozen people stopped by our doorway to ogle, with one woman literally frozen in her tracks for 2-3 minutes while squinting at the “funky looking pedestal-thingy in the corner.” I admit, that was kind of cool & brought a little smile to my face, but the novelty wears off quickly & then you must look at what’s left in terms of function once you get past form. I do have to give Shark a great deal of credit where credit is due. First, I really do like the independently pivoting airflow vents/nozzles on each of the fan’s arms. You can orient each up to 180 degrees opposite each other which, combined with oscillation & height adjustment, can impressively provide up to 360 degrees of airflow coverage. You can also turn the entire vent assembly horizontally to provide a wider airflow pattern, especially if the fan isn’t oscillating. The TurboBlade gives you lots of customization via the remote control that would, under any other circumstances, make this my absolute favorite tower fan of all time. For example, you get 10 speed settings & three specialty modes. The Sleep mode is supposedly optimized for sleeping—but best I can tell, it’s just a lower-speed setting (about 3) that balances good airflow with quiet operation. Breezeboost is just what it sounds like—the fan starts pumping out even more air than the highest speed setting delivers…and because the regular speeds stop at 10, this fan really does go to 11! Finally, my favorite mode is the Natural setting. This speed profile keeps things quiet while varying fan speed to simulate a natural breeze. I use this one most often because the airspeed variations keep me from developing a cold spot on my arm or cheek that otherwise results from localized and constant moving air. Oscillation can be set to 45, 90, or 180 degrees, much better than most fan’s single oscillation setting, especially if you don’t want to waste cooling on unoccupied areas of the room or someone who is perpetually cold anyway. The fan also gives you a brilliant little “angle adjust” feature that shifts orientation just slightly left or right. No more starting up oscillation & hoping you can stop it at JUST the right spot. Instead, just hit the angle adjust button to get a few degrees of movement left or right so you can dial in the fan’s coverage how you want it. Finally, there’s a work-day-friendly timer with auto power-off at 1, 2, 4, 8, & 12 hours. The remote control adheres magnetically to the back of the fan. The fan’s base is also where you’ll find a removable dust filter that’s quick to clean & helps prevent performance-robbing dust buildup. The front of the fan’s base features a single button & a bright white 5-dot LED display. There are also some audible chimes indicating things like power or speed changes, timer activation, etc. The fan’s chimes can even be muted, & the LED display automatically dims after 15-20 seconds so you can use it in a silent & darkened room without fear of disturbing anyone. With all this going for it, why then can I not unequivocally recommend the TurboBlade? The first few issues are just little annoyances that detract from the overall user experience. For one, the fan does not remember any speed, oscillation, or program settings from the last session. I routinely set an oscillating natural breeze on my fans for the workday—with the TurboBlade, I must cycle through the speed/program, oscillation, & timer settings each time I power the unit up. Second, while the remote’s magnetic attachment to the fan is handy, it isn’t very secure as the magnets holding it in place aren’t particularly strong. If you move/relocate your fan quite often, you could easily dislodge & lose the small remote. A recessed cradle or other design element that provides a bit more security when the remote is stowed would be welcome. Moreover, why a premium fan with features designed specifically for operating silently & in the dark doesn’t have a backlit or glow-in-the-dark remote is beyond me. The pivoting vents/nozzles can also be problematic. When used vertically, the TurboBlade is svelte with a footprint that makes it easy to slip into corners, next to plants or furniture, etc. At its widest by the skirting at the base, the fan is only about 9” across; most of the upper assembly is just 3”-4” across. When rotated horizontally, the fan becomes a somewhat unwieldy 32”-wide behemoth. If you also want the fan to oscillate, you must clear a LOT of space around it to avoid those same corners, plants, or furniture. In this orientation, the TurboBlade requires FAR more floorspace & a more conspicuous position in the room than some might want just for a fan. From there, the drawbacks in design & usability get a little harder to overlook. The first concerns acoustics. At lower speeds, the fan is silent, or nearly so, & would be suitable for use in a room with a light sleeper, baby, quiet officemates, etc. But at speeds beyond 6 or 7, the fan’s high-pitched blower noise, in addition to the sound of fast-moving air being squeezed through the small vents & nozzles, becomes very intrusive--far more so than the loud but lower-frequency whooshing & motor noises I usually get from traditional bladed fans running at high speeds. The 5-segment LED display is also SO minimal that a quick reference card for various LED patterns and usage scenarios is included. In my experience, any simple device (I think a fan qualifies) with an interface that needs a reference card to interpret key status indicators or basic/primary functionality could probably benefit from a little more intuitive design work. I do get the whole minimalist aesthetic, but frankly, I would prefer a more informative display that clearly indicates which program is running, what fan speed is selected, how much time is left on my timer, etc., that can be turned on/off at will (and still go dark on its own after 20 seconds). As it is, there is no way to know what settings are in play once the LEDs go out. Similarly, the single button on the base serves double duty for both power & speed. Yet, in a departure from many UI conventions, power is toggled by a quick-press (rather than a long-press like many phones & small electronics) while speed selection uses a very long-press & waiting until the fan display cycles around to the desired speed (rather than more intuitively pressing the button quickly however many times are needed to reach the desired speed). As I am far more likely to accidentally quick-press a button than I am to leave my finger stationary long enough for an accidental long-press, I have inadvertently & frustratingly turned the fan off many times when I just wanted to adjust the speed. Moreover, holding the button down too long & sailing past the speed setting I wanted means I must keep holding it down & wait for the speed to cycle all the way up to 10, then back down to 1, before trying to reach the setting I wanted again. I could probably look past all that were it not for the bone crusher (at least in my book): that one button does NOT access any other functions on the fan. If you want to use one of the preset programs, set a timer, start, stop or adjust oscillation, you can only do so with the remote. That isn’t a big deal so long as you *have* the remote—but heaven help you if someone absentmindedly moves/misplaces the remote. At that point, all you can do with your fancy-pants fan is turn it on/off & [slowly] change the speed. At a minimum, the fan’s major functions should have duplicate controls somewhere on the unit itself. Given that we have kiddos in the house, I do appreciate the safety aspects of having no exposed fan blades, but the likelihood of the remote going missing is MUCH higher than that of some chubby fingers squeezing through a narrow fan grill & catching on a spinning plastic blade. That issue alone gives me pause for recommending the TurboBlade as I’m justifiably concerned that my stylish & feature-packed premium tower fan will become an irritating reminder that I can’t do much of anything else with it until I source a replacement remote (assuming I can still find one when needed). Such obsolescence is a forgone conclusion for electronics with rechargeable batteries, but I hate the thought of losing about 80% of the key features I need for something as mundane as misplacing/losing a basic remote control.

The Shark – TurboBlade does certainly have a unique design. This unique design will bring comments from others. The first remark my sister made when looking at this fan for the first time was, “Why is E.T. in your room?” After the chuckle, I always saw E.T. anytime I looked at this fan after such a comment. Regardless of the design, this fan provides a powerful breeze for those extra hot days, and its versatility allows one to use the fan in a variety of ways. This is my review of the Shark – TurboBlade Bladeless Tower Fan. *TLDR at the bottom =========== IN THE BOX/SET UP: In the box, the fan is dissembled into 3 parts. You also get a remote (with batteries), a quick start guide, and a recommended speeds sheet. Assembly is straightforward. There are only three parts, and if any assembly assistance is needed, the quick start guide has clear pictures on how to assemble this fan correctly. I was set up in less than 5 minutes! Also, make sure to remove ALL the tape. I forgot there was tape on the rotating base and was wondering for the longest time why the fan was not rotating but was making a clicking sound. =========== BUILD, FEATURES, AND USE: I think this fan has a somewhat unusual design, which will likely divide opinions. I did find the design unusual at first, but I am slowly warming up to it. The way Shark designed this fan was with versatility in mind, which this has plenty of. The blade can be placed in any position on the rotating axis. The nozzles on the blade can also pivot up and down. The fan’s height can also be adjusted, albeit not by very much. All these adjustable positions allow for the fan to be used in pretty much any situation. The fan is lightweight, but having the carrying handle toward the bottom of the base does make it slightly awkward to carry. The remote is a nice addition to this fan. The remote can be stored on top of the fan with magnets, which is a neat design addition. One downside is the lack of a backlight on the remote. I have been using this fan every night, and sometimes I find myself clicking the wrong button, which is not fun while half-asleep, and all of a sudden, you feel a burst of air coming right at you. The remote does offer various valuable features, too. The star button has several specialty modes that can be used, like “Sleep Mode,” which sets the fan to an ideal fan speed for sleep. In this mode, the fan is not too quiet but quiet enough to where you can sleep comfortably. My favorite feature of the bunch is the timer, which has options ranging from 1 up to 12 hours. Other typical features, like fan speed, oscillation, and horizontal angle adjustment, are also available. One item that could’ve been improved upon is the LED indicator lights. There are five LEDs that indicate mode, speed, etc., but these can be hard to see when the fan is positioned vertically. Sometimes it’s hard to tell what mode the fan is operating on without looking at the guide. I think that at this price point, the LEDs could’ve been replaced with a mini LCD that displays simple information. =========== CONCLUSION: Overall, the Shark – TurboBlade is a great fan. The strange but unique design allows the fan to be placed in various positions. The fan isn’t as quiet as some other fans I have used, but it is quiet enough to where one can sleep soundly while it is running. The included remote is a nice touch and allows for easy remote control over various features, like setting up a timer. The TurboBlade may have a unique design that isn’t for everybody, but it provides a nice breeze. If that sounds good to you, I recommend you give it a try!

This is my first bladeless tower fan that I’ve owned, and despite the amount of space it takes up, I really like how powerful and versatile it is. Bladeless fans like this one lack the traditional rotating propeller-style fins and instead push jets of air through narrow channels over stationary blades resulting in precise, directed streams. The fan takes less than a minute to put together, and the metal, telescoping central column simply twists and locks into place while the second air nozzle slides into the top to complete assembly. It comes with 2 AAA batteries for the remote control. What I find most innovative about the TurboBlade is the ability to pivot its orientation anywhere from a vertical tower to a fully horizontal beam. Each side of the fan (the nozzles) can be independently swiveled 90° in both directions with a total reach of 180° to direct airflow precisely where you want it. The fan also oscillates with side-to-side motion, though you should make sure that there’s enough clearance when used horizontally so that it doesn’t hit any walls or objects. The fan has a minimum height of 31” with the blades oriented horizontally and 45” with the blades positioned vertically while its width is 31.5” wide and 10” respectively. The height can be increased up to 6” by gently pulling or pushing the center column to extend or retract it, while allowing you to stop at any desired height in between; this operation does not require a lot of force and once the height is set, its position feels secure. The unit has a single physical function button on the base 11” from the floor that can be used to turn the unit on/off with a short press and change fan speed (1-10) with a long press. When changing the speed with this button, you need to hold the button for at least 3 seconds for the first change, while each additional second you hold the button will increase or decrease another level. Note that if the current fan level is less than the max speed of 10, holding the button will always change the speed upward. Only when the fan is already at the max speed will holding the button decrease the speed. I found that the lowest speed provides just enough airflow to provide a touch of coolness throughout a medium sized room while producing only a low whir, while at max speed you get a lot of strong airflow to cool down a room quickly with a noise level similar to that of my central vacuum system. For other functions of the fan, you’ll need to use the remote control. The remote is RF, so it does not need a direct line of sight to the fan. The area behind the nozzles is magnetic, allowing you to conveniently store the remote right on the unit. The remote lets you change the fan speed up and down, set the oscillation pattern to 45, 90, or 180 degrees, enable a sleep timer from 1 – 12 hours (over 5 intervals), adjust the fan’s horizontal angle, and enable one of the specialty modes: Sleep, BreezeBoost, or Natural. Sleep mode mutes button press chimes and dims the LEDs while still giving you access to all 10 fan speeds. BreezeBoost allows you to instantly switch to max speed; pressing either speed adjustment key exits this mode and returns you to your original speed. Lastly, natural mode ramps up and down the fan speed in random intervals to simulate wind. When turning off the fan, the fan will remember the speed that you last used when you subsequently power it up, however, the exception to this is if you were last using one of the specialty modes. When powered down in one of those modes, the fan will default to the lowest fan speed the next time you turn it on. The 5 LEDs on the front of the base indicate your selections for speed, oscillation, and timer with various patterns. You can also toggle the settings chime on/off by pressing and holding the timer and oscillation buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. At the back of the base, there is a removable grill for cleaning out any dust build-up and a carrying handle for lifting and moving the fan. Overall, this bladeless tower fan meets all of my needs for non-air conditioned cooling. It distributes air quickly with precise positioning of the airflow in any direction, is height adjustable, and can oscillate to reach multiple areas of a small to large room. The remote lets me choose the mode and settings that create the most comfort in different situations and its relatively quiet operation is fairly unobtrusive. It also comes with a 2-year limited warranty.

    Perfect upgrade for superior airflow

I had been using a competitor brand bladeless tower fan for a while, but I found its swiveling abilities to be limited, making it hard to direct airflow to multiple areas at once. After seeing the Shark TurboBlade with its dual-blade design and twistable vents, I decided to upgrade for my home office, and I must say it meets all my needs perfectly. Setup: The setup was straightforward, and the fan is well-packaged with clear labeling (stickers A, B, C) to guide the assembly. One thing to keep in mind is that there are several pieces of protective tape and stickers on the unit, which need to be removed for the fan to oscillate properly. I missed a few on the back initially and wondered why it wasn’t moving. The fan has a sleek, modern design that blends perfectly with contemporary decor. While it's made of plastic, the build quality feels sturdy and premium. It is a bit heavier than expected, so moving it around can be a challenge. Performance: This fan is very powerful and efficiently circulates air, making it perfect for larger spaces. I immediately noticed a significant improvement in airflow compared to my old fan, which had trouble distributing air evenly across the room. What truly sets this fan apart from other competitors in this sector, is its incredible flexibility and range of motion: 180° oscillation covers a large area, meaning I no longer need multiple fans in different spots. Dual-blade design with twistable vents allows me to direct airflow to various parts of the room at the same time. Pivoting feature lets me switch between vertical and horizontal cooling, which was the main reason I decided to upgrade. Ease of Use: All functions are controlled via the remote, which magnetically attaches to the back to prevent losing it. The LED indicator on the unit is useful, but it takes a little getting used to since it cycles through settings instead of having a separate indicator for each. Unlike my previous fan, the magnet on this one is strong and holds well. The controls are easy to use, with the following features: 10 fan speeds ranging from a light breeze to strong airflow. Angle adjustments to fine-tune where the air flows. Sleep & special modes, though I haven’t used them much yet Timer function for convenient auto shut-off. Noise levels: At lower speeds, it’s quiet, making it ideal for sleeping or working. However, at higher speeds, there is a noticeable whirring sound that can be a bit bothersome. It’s more of an appliance-like sound than the usual white noise, so if you’re sensitive to background noise while watching TV, it might be a bit distracting. Cleaning & Maintenance: The bladeless design makes cleaning effortless, just a quick wipe and it's good to go. For allergy sufferers like me, this is a huge benefit. Pros: Unmatched airflow coverage with dual blades, twistable vents, and 180° oscillation Highly customizable airflow direction and intensity Bladeless design is easy to clean and minimizes dust buildup Modern, high quality build that fits well in any space Magnetic remote storage Cons: High speed noise Heavy and bulky Overall, If you’re looking for a bladeless fan with superior air coverage and the ability to customize airflow, then this fan is definitely worth the investment. It has resolved all the issues I had with my previous fan, and I couldn’t be happier with the upgrade. Highly recommended.

If you are looking at this, you might be asking if the price point is worth it since it is at least twice if not more than the price of other tower fans. My opinion is if you can afford it, it is worth it. The build quality is there. Although it is completely made of plastic, the fit and finish is excellent and is a beautiful addition to any room, especially if you are someone who decorates with a modern look. The adjustment pieces are tight, but easy to move. One thing that is worth noting is that this fan is heavy, I mean really heavy and there is no good way to pick it up so find a place to put it and keep it there. There is a handle, but it doesn’t do the job as when picking it up, it becomes unbalanced. It is also quite large, bigger than you might be led to believe from the photos. It does require a little assembly but that is easy. It comes with the base, adjustable arm and output arms. They basically all click together. The assembly instructions are clear and easy to understand. The operating instructions are well written. It is quiet unless you have it set to one of the highest out of 10 speeds. At the highest speeds, it has more of a high pitch whine sound and less the sound of air traveling. It is not obnoxious unless you find high pitch sounds annoying, At the lower speeds, you can’t hear it at all. The part of the fan that really sticks out are the adjustments. You can raise and lower the blades, turn them horizontal or vertical, or anything in between, and twist the outputs separately to be in any direction. The parts are easy to adjust and stay put, and again you can really feel the build quality on the adjustable parts. You can adjust the airflow countless ways depending on your needs. This is great. The fan’s airflow can also get very powerful, more so than other traditional fans. The controls take a little getting used to and memorize. There are no buttons on the fan itself and need to be fully controlled though the remote control. You can turn the unit on and off, adjust fan speed, adjust rotation, and set a timer. There are also 5 general purpose LED indicators on the front of the unit. How they light up depends on the control you are using. This really means you must memorize what the setting is they are trying to indicate. They are logical though so no big deal. The 5 indicators light up in order depending on the fan speed. They cycle though twice instead of having 10 indicators. Honestly, 10 speeds is overkill so having 5 speeds to match the 5 indicators would have been sufficient. You can turn rotation on and off and set the full rotation angle to 45, 90, and 180 degrees. There is a single button that cycles through these, The LED indicators also show what the angle is set to. There is a timer button and the 5 LEDs indicate the time set for the timer. The best part of the controls is having the ability to easily change the angle using left and right buttons. This means that you can set the exact angle easily and don’t have to turn on rotation and turn it off when it reaches the right place. There is a button for “special modes”, but I honestly don’t know what it does and is not well explained in the instructions. A fan is a fan so why are special modes needed. This is a very nice fan that has a fancy look and great adjustments. The controls work well although the LED indicators could be improved with more of them. It is an expensive fan but it is made well and worth it if you can afford it.

    Air Where You Want It

Adjustability and versatility are what set the Shark TurboBlade Fan apart. There are two vents that direct airflow, and these two vents are independently adjustable through a 180-degree range; the fan can blow in two directions at the same time! It works wonderfully in the kitchen where I can direct airflow into the cooking area with one vent and point the other vent towards the sitting area at the other end of the room. Everybody benefits. Also, the vents can be oriented horizontally, vertically, and anywhere in between. It can actually be rotated on an axis through 360 degrees – imagine an airplane propeller – and set at any point in the range; it is easy to direct the airflow exactly where you need it. At the foot of the bed, we prefer a horizontal orientation. The Shark TurboBlade Fan vents do a great job directing a cooling breeze across the width of our king-size bed. The Shark TurboBlade Fan has a telescoping height adjustment that allows fan height to be adjusted from about 31 inches to as high as 38 inches. The adjustable height of the stand really comes in handy. This added height allows the air to be directed at a slight downward angle so that the air is not blowing constantly at our feet. Instead, air flows over the entire top of the bed. It’s a subtle distinction, but it makes a big difference. Of course, the Shark TurboBlade Fan can oscillate. I really like Shark’s implementation of this feature. I can choose between oscillation patterns of 45, 90 and 180 degrees. Also, the remote allows small adjustments to both left and right if needed. There are 10 fan speeds in addition to three “Specialty Modes”: Sleep, BreezeBoost, and Natural. Regardless of the selected speed or mode, the fan is always quiet. Of course, higher speeds generate more noise, but it’s never obtrusive and we can continue normal conversation. There is an air filter in the rear of the base that is removeable for easy cleaning. I am looking forward to observing how effective that filter is over time; hopefully, this will reduce buildup at the vent openings. We appreciate the small footprint and weighted base of the Shark TurboBlade Fan. With the vents oriented vertically, the base is the widest part at just under 10 inches. It is only 31.5 inches wide with the blades set horizontally. The combination of diminutive footprint and quiet operation ensures that it never dominates a space. There is magnetic remote-control storage at the top of the fan which should make it harder to misplace. The only visual indication of the fan’s operating mode is five horizontal LEDs (see photo). I have to say it’s not what I would call intuitive. In time I may come to decipher their meaning. Fortunately, Shark saw fit to include a cheat sheet (see photos). Overall, I love our new Shark TurboBlade Fan. This thing is awesome.

A unique design can be seen as beautiful and innovative or just plain weird or ugly. My new Shark Turboblade is somewhere in between for me. Great features and technology with a look that is anything but traditional. As you can tell by the pictures of this Turboblade, it’s not your typical floor fan. The look is a dead giveaway. -The bladeless design is safer, especially if you have little ones around, since there are no spinning blades to injure any little fingers. The “turboblades” stick out on both sides of the pedestal upright and can be manually angled up or down. In addition, the turboblades can be positioned vertically or horizontally. -The accent color is also a different choice. I’d say the metallic accent is somewhere between a soft olympic bronze and rose gold. It’s not my first choice, I’m more of a brushed nickel or chrome guy, but it does look nicer than a white floor fan for sure. As I mentioned, the Shark has a ton of great features. -It oscillates up to 180° but that can be adjusted with the remote. It is a bit tricky at first but say there are two people sitting on a couch and the fan is oscillating all over the room. With the remote you can adjust the fan to only oscillate between the two people. -It is very quiet on lower speeds and still not too bad at max speed. -There are 10 speeds, not only 5 as you may think from the indicator lights in front. You may increase fan speed with the remote and have all five lights lit up and think it is not a strong fan, but keep pushing the “speed +” button and it will go through the 5 lights again and you will get a strong gust that can be felt across a large room. So far I am quite happy with the fan. The main purpose I had in mind for this fan was to keep me cooler during the hot summer nights. My wife doesn’t get hot like I do overnight so I think this will be the perfect fan for me with its fantastic customization. It is pretty pricey for a floor fan though. At $249.99 it may be a tough sell for many people but if you can pick it up on sale it would be an even better value.

    A Unique Design

This is a unique bladeless fan. It even has a hammerhead shark feeling to it. With all that aside, the installation was simple and straightforward. The directions were simple with a number to follow for guidance. It's a well thought out design. A problem with a lot of fans is the noise level. You want cool air without a loud humming or pitch in the background to distract you. I have used fans for many years. This has been the most optimal for my case. I have been testing it in my office/work area. I enjoyed the 45-degree oscillation rotation. That is more than enough to keep my cooled off and my desktop. Circulating air in my room which can get muggy in the Spring and Summer time. The base of the bladeless fan can easily be rotated to get the correct angle. There are 10 different fan speeds. Right now, I have been using it on speed 3. I don't see much of a use for higher speeds. With higher speeds comes noise, of course. At the max setting, it sounds like a jet engine blowing cool air all over the place. You get the standard settings as must modern fans. You get a timer, oscillation, and a specialty mode. The fan comes with a remote that can be kept on the fan itself. This is done with magnets. So you are less likely to lose the remote. The fan itself does an excellent job of producing and rotating cool air. With the design, you have the option of turning the fan blowers. I opted for the more vertical route. Blowing and rotating the air to my liking. The only negative would be at higher speeds this fan sounds like a jet engine. I don't think most people would use this on speeds 7, 8, 9, or 10. But if you do, just be advised. Overall this is a good bladeless tower fan with a unique design. There are still many custom angles waiting for me to figure out.

    Sleek and Modern

--- SETUP --- The fan comes in 3 different pieces, but you do not need tools. The base is a bit heavy, but manageable for most people. Be aware some tape shouldn't be removed until all pieces are in place. --- FEATURES --- Fan can be pivoted vertically or horizontally, vents twist in direction of choice, quiet mode is really quiet, air can be felt at far distance, oscillate 180°, height adjustable, dual blades, easy to clean, magnetic remote control for easy storage. --- PERFORMANCE AND EXPECTATIONS --- This fan looks very modern and sleek. There’s a button on the remote that can immediately set the fan to the highest setting for the optimum cooling experience. At that mode, the fan is noticeably loud, but it doesn’t drown my TV with surround sound. It feels great when using it in front of my elliptical. In contrast, there is another button that can turn on quiet mode. The blades are barely audible and are great for people who want air circulating but need it to be quiet to sleep. The air is still comfortably felt during quiet mode. The remote buttons are easy to understand and feel good to press. The buttons are responsive and are made of quality materials. The remote uses 2 AAA batteries, which are included. I love the fact that the remote is magnetic and can be connected to any metal surface, including a specific place on the fan itself so you don’t lose it. --- APPROVAL --- This fan not only looks sleek and modern, it is very functional and versatile. Horizontal is my preference, but vertical blades are a great space saver if needed. I highly recommend this fan, especially as the summer months get nearer.

This fan provides an experience unlike any other. For starters, the actual fan is in the base of the unit and the air flows up through the fan's body and out the discharge wings. This means you can put the fan in front of an open window with curtains drawn, and it will pull the fresh air flows to the floor and circulate it throughout the room without the curtains being pulled into the back of the fan. You can also put it next to an HVAC vent and it will act as a booster to further circulate the heated or cooled air through the room. The base air intake also has a removable dust-catching grill that can be removed for cleaning, and the height is adjustable. The fan includes a remote control with internal magnets that can be securely stored on the top of the fan tower or surface a magnet will work with. Via the remote control, you can control the power, up to 10-speed settings, the left or right angle of the wings, and preset oscillation settings of 45/90/180 degrees. There’s also the option to select a 1, 2, 4 8, or 12-hour fan timer or preset options of BreezeBoost for high power, sleep for a low power quiet mode, or natural breeze which varies the power and angle of the air circulation. The discharge wings are adjusted manually and independently of each other. The rotational position of the wing unit is also set manually and can be placed in any position from horizontal to vertical. I want to emphasize the motorized oscillation of the tower turns the complete blade unit as noted above, but it doesn’t change the angle or horizontal or vertical position of the discharge wing.

Turbo Shark that should be the name when i fired this up it sounded like a jet staring up. This has some awesome poew behind it. It's not loud at all i was just right next to it trying it out. This is great as it has some great adjustment features. You can change how you have it set up straight up and down but you can also move the blades individuallyone facing right while the other faces left. You can have it set up straight across and have the blades up and down. They have made this to cover any room the way you want. The remote has a lot of functions to it. Power mode, speed adjusting it to oscillate or just adjust the little by little to hit the right angle. On the top of the fan the remote has a magnetic place to keep the remote if it's not needed. This is a great look better than the older tower fans that can't do as much as this. This has a great color to go with any room it doesn't stand out and wont take up a lot of room. It has a dust blocker screen on the back to take off and clean when needed. This does not need a filter so no need to by anything extra. This is a great product for my house.

Love the versatility of this fan. Looks very unique and everyone asks us what it is. Love the ability to change from vertical to horizontal. makes it was to give a nice wide breeze. I want this now in white for our other room. Quiet in lower speeds which is great because we usually just use it to have a natural breeze, but powerful enough to give you more

I really enjoy this fan. The design allows multiple ways to circulate air throughout a room. It is fairly quiet until you turn it up to its highest airflow levels and even then, it's nothing beyond what should be expected when it's blowing air 80'! It will definitely help me reduce the use time of my AC this summer. It is also taller, yet takes up a smaller footprint than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I have no regrets with my purchase.

Never thought I’d say this, but the Shark Turbo Blade Fan is the MVP of my master bedroom. It’s like having a tiny, silent tornado on command—but, you know, the friendly kind that tucks you in at night. This thing cools the room down faster than I can decide what show to binge, and it does it with style. The design is sleek, modern, and gives off serious “sci-fi sleep chamber” vibes. The remote is my new best friend—why get up when I can change settings from bed like a climate-controlling wizard? Honestly, it’s not just a fan. It’s a bedtime game-changer.

I absolutely love this fan. I dont have central AC or a window unit and the weather was already getting really hot. So i decided to invest in this. Literally best fan I’d ever tried. So many different settings, its super quiet at night, and it pushes out cold air which i love. And the fact that the blades can be adjusted is so convenient for me and my husband. Absolutely love and totally worth it

I was looking for a new fan for the bedroom. Didn't know much about this model other than a couple videos I viewed before purchasing. Turned out to be a good buy. Puts out good amount of air. Not too noisy. The only negative thing to take into consideration is the height depending on how you plan on setting it up. Our bed sits high so I had to add a stool under it to get it high enough to clear the foot of the bed when rotating back & forth . Also so air would blow down on us.

We bought this fan for our bedroom s month ago, and we also have a Dyson bladeless tower to compare high end fans with. While both fans are high quality and powerful, this fan is less expensive and more versatile. That being said, it is also a little bit louder, but if you are OK with white noise then this shouldn't be a problem. Overall, a great fan that will absolutely keep a room cool.
