I have five long haired shedding dogs which means that lots of fur and lots of yard stuff ends up in the kitchen. I hate cleaning, especially the kitchen, but now with the Shark I love it! The vacuum portion is awesome, sucks all the hair and dirt right up. It is well designed so that it slips under the base cabinets so I can vacuum right up to them. It does suck up right to the edge. And the canister, while relatively small, is easy to remove, dump, and replace. The steam portion too is awesome. The pad is easy to attach and it is ready to steam within 20 seconds of hitting the switch. My old vinyl floors have never look so good; they now actually shine. The Shark ads on tv mention the white sock test. I am more into bare feet so I am aware of any particles on the kitchen floor. And after using the Shark, there are none. And I really like the fact that it uses just water, so there are no chemicals on the floor that the dogs might get on their paws. I have also used the Shark on wood floors in my large living room. It did an equally good job there and MUCH better than my large regular vacuum cleaner does on its hard floor setting. Are there any negatives? I haven't found any yet. I purchased mine 2 months ago and use it nearly every day. This from someone who used to be on the 6 month rotation to do a full kitchen floor cleaning with mopping. That right there makes it one of the best cleaning products I have ever purchased. I highly recommend it!

I like it. It does what it's made to do and cleans it very well. I love how I don't need chemicals to get a great clean floor!

The vacuum has a lot of suction, the steam mop is nice in not having to use chemicals to clean the floor.

I was concerned about the suctions since some reviewers on other websites mentioned the small hole in the back. Let's face it its a vacuum, on hard floors, the hole doesn't need to be at the edge. I found it to vacuum the floors real good, as most other reviewers mentioned also. The only gripe I have is the small water tank. My house is 95% tile floors, I have a 1 year old and 2 year old daughters, they make lots of messes. Before I would have to sweep, get as much in the dustpan then pull out my vacuum to get the left over bits. Then I have to mop the floors. this works alot better floor is usually dry within 30 seconds or less. I do miss the frebreeze smell when I used a mop and bucket, but I can walk the floors with clean bare feet now. as I said my 2 cons would be small water tank and price, but then there is nothing else like it.

I found myself watching the Shark steam mop infomercials and lusting over it for about a year. I had to buy one when the steam mop came with a vacuum. I have hardwood floors and a cat that can really spread his food across the kitchen, not to mention the fur everywhere. I ordered this last week and decided not to clean until I got it. The floor was gross!!!!! The handy dandy vac glided across the floor, underneath the cabinets and between the wall and toilet. It is a little different than a broom but I got a hang of it. I attached the steam pad and mopped. It did not leave streaks and got the floor shiny and clean. I have to admit that is was a little heavy to push towards the end. My coworker wants to borrow it to try it out. I really love this Shark!!!!!!

This is the best bare floor cleaner I have ever owned. I've had it for over a year and a half and it still does an excellent job. I live in Vegas where there's a lot of dust. I have a pug and a pekingese and they shed all the time. Unlike other vacuums that spit dust out the back end, this one picks it up and keeps it in the cup where it belongs. It's literally a snap to change the vacuum to steam mode. Just snap on the bottom plate, add one of the included mops, make sure you have water in the tank and just flip the switch to steam. Quick and easy! It's one of the rare products that actually does what it's supposed to do, does it well, and does it for longer than just a few months. This is definitely a huge time saving item. This is one of the most satisfying products you will find. I highly recommend it.

I purchased this model of Shark and love how it sweeps up all the dog hair and dirt - and then, I switch to steam and the floors look beautiful. It is so simple and easy, it doesn't feel like house work. The only problem, the dust bin fills-up quickly, so, you have to be sure to empty it often - especially if you own a big furry dog.

I have used this product several times since I purchased it. It is easy and quick to use, and has cut down my floor cleaning time in half. The vacuum works well, and the steam mop does not leave a film on the floor. It is so easy to switch between the vacuum and the mop. Truly I love this machine and I cannot say enough good things about it.

I got this as a Christmas gift (Yes, I asked for it.) The vacuum is great, definitley the best part. The mop is good too, but if you really want a VERY good scrub,forget about it! This is the only complaint I have, that you basically have to break your back from putting so much pressure on it, so it will get a little dirt off. But once you are done cleaning your floors, they look & feel great. It's like your floor has never been that clean. I use the vacuum atleast three times a day( we have all wood floors, with a toddler, dog, and cat.) And I mop atleast 2 times a week. The mop comes in great handy if juice is spilled, quick and effective clean-up. Overall, great product.

This item is easy to use, lightweight, and leaves the floor spotless. The vacuum function performs exceptionally well. I was skeptical about cleaning without any products, but the steamer really does work. The only thing that could improve this product is if it could vacuum rugs. I would highly recommend!

Just love this! Makes sweeping and vacuuming so much faster! The floors are left squeaky clean. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect score is I wish the front of it was a little less bulky so that it would be able to fit under some furniture and kitchen cabinets. It is powerful though, if I get close to wall for a few seconds more it will suck the dirt out. Love it!

I really wanted to like this one. I watched all the demo's. Read the manual, even talked to some of the shark sales reps. I really wanted it to be as good as they say. But sadly it isn't. First of all I do not like the vacuum part. If you look on the bottom of it the opening for the vacuum is only like 3 inches. The base is much wider so you can't get very close to walls. It doesn't have alot of suction power. The profile on the base is very low so it wont pick up bigger particles either. So after that I decided to fill 'er up and try the steaming. It doesn't put out that much steam and it is very difficult to push while steaming. I read the manual and it says to adjust the handle to make it easier to push and I tried that with no luck :( I will be returning mine tomorrow to get the steam mop and stick vac 2in1 to replace this one. I talked to a sales rep about the lack of steam and being hard to push and she said that is a problem they have heard from alot of customers so far and that the steam mop is a better value when paired with one of their upright vacuums. So that is what I will do.

I always hated to sweep and mop my kitchen floor, since my house is big, and when I would get done, I could still see spots of dried milk on the "clean kitchen floor"; now, after I use the Shark Vac then Steam Mop on my kitchen floor, there are no more spots left to make me frown and wonder if I need to hire a maid to come and help me next time. I went to my son's new apartment, and he has tile upstairs and downstairs, so I really used it giving him a demo, and he was so happy with the results, since he has a toddler. The stains were all steamed away when I got done, and cleanup was easy, just throw the pad in the washer, and then air dry it for next time.

very light weight great for that quick pick up - the vac is perfect for the pet hair and the steam cleaner is so easy to use and no extra cleaner to buy - GREAT ALL AROUND!

Our cleaning lady is in love with our Shark. She has discontinued using our vacuum cleaner and is using the Shark exclusively. It is easy to operate, light, and switches between vacuum and mop rapidly.

I have all tile in my house, and wanted a cleaner for my floors. This does put up dirt and the steamer is OK. But since it does not scrub, it will not clean as much as I had wanted.

I was disappointed with the 2 in 1 vacuum then steam. I have hardwood and travertine throughout my home and this item left my floors dull and streakly. It however is easy to use, but unfortunately I did not get the results intended out of this product.

Works almost as good as on the commercials which is unbelievable. It is nearly perfect the only thing it needs is a holes.
