Compared to other brands at this size the price is great and picture is still great quality. I have had no issues and there are many settings to change the picture depending on what you are using it for.

Bought this TV to replace a DLP that was 6 years old. In comparison to the TV that it replaced, this has been great. The TV is in a brightly-lit room, so we needed something that would work in that environment. This does the trick. We did update the TV right after purchase (to be expected) and we've only had it a short time, but so far, it's been a good purchase.

The Aquos 240hz smooth picture refresh is different than what they use in Samsung models, which is what I had before. Both brands use a prediction method for smoothing out the picture. Samsung predicts where a fast object is going to go and puts an extra color block in, and Sharp puts an extra black block in. So, on Samsung, a golf ball looks more like a snitch from the Harry Potter movies due to the extra white square added in the prediction method. However on sharp, it seems to jump because the black boxes before and after the picture make it look more pixelated. Therefore, I tend to notice a picture contortion when there is fast movement more on the Sharp brand than on the Samsung brand. Further, the Sharp brand does not seem to have as good a sytem for built-in sound as the Samsung. Finally, there has been some anomalies in both brands related to turning the TV on. The Samsung I just replaced would have trouble turning on...it would cycle the startup over and over again until at last it just wouldn't turn on. I was told this is because the capacitors on the circuit board or too small for what they need to do. They were replaced once about two years into my ownership, and everything works fine. A couple years later, the problem start up again in the capacitors are once again blown. Now that I have the new sharp tv, there are some issues with start up as well. On occasion, the power button on the remote or on the TV will cause no reaction on the TV. I then have to unplug the TV from the wall outlet, wait 10 seconds, plug it back in and then it turns on fine. Not sure why these TVs have trouble with a basic thing like turning on. I am worried that this problem will continue further into the future, but only time will tell. It has not happened in a couple of weeks. However I have only had the television for about 6 weeks. Finally, the price on it is way more reasonable than a Samsung...it is about half to two-thirds the price based on the same size and same parameters.

I previously had a 70" Sharp that had an issue. After a few repairs the issue persisted to Sharp allowed me to return the TV for a full refund. After shopping at different brands I came back to Sharp due to the lower price and big screen (I think only they have 70" and for the same price others have 65"). So far this TV has been very good and no issues. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but it has a good picture and great big screen for a low price.

We like this tv especially the features. For some reason the HDMI1 input malfunctioned. It would not recognize the receiver for a few seconds and then the screen would display no signal. So after checking all of the connections & resetting my receiver it did the same thing. So I decided to try the HDMI3 input & it has been working fine. It really ticked me off because this happened with my LG tv & i was going 2 go ballistic if we had 2 go thru that again. All of the inputs on that tv stopped working hence the reason we bought this tv 2 replace that one. Bestbuy did what they could 2 assist with the LG tv but we were without a tv 4 almost a month. The Geek squad worked hard & helped us out but it was a tedious task that took 2 long. When this Sharp tv started doing the same thing, I was like oh no not again. So far so good since I changed the input. This tv has a lot of features 2 keep u entertained and the screen is beautiful. At this time we are pleased with our purchase especially the size of it.

I got this TV on a super deal, open box... I knew I probably was going to get into a messy situation reading all the reviews, but still got this. I hook it up did the latest firmware update 1.2 and didn't had a problem until the next day, it shut off when I was watching a movie and then one time it wouldn't turn on or off with the remote or tv buttons so I had to unplug it. Yesterday, I got home and a new update was downloaded 1.52, let's see if this fixes those issues! other that this the TV looks great, the image quality is superb and with 70" you won't get a better deal than this! If and when the issue is resolve I will give it the 5 stars it deserves, for now we just have to wait.

My coworkers and I purchase this TV exclusively for our conference rooms throughout our organization. We purchase a minimum of one or two of these TV's every 2-3 months. We keep coming back not only because of the price that they have this fantastic beast of a TV marked at usually, but also because of the reliability of these TV's, and Sharp's quick response in dealing with any issues that we do have. It has excellent picture quality, is easy to setup, has a lot of good menu options for more advanced users, and is just generally a pleasant TV overall.

I think this is a great TV overall. It's a SMART TV, so my kids can pull up Netflix easily. The size is awesome, price was great (cheaper than other no-name brands). I was hoping for a little bit better icture, but for the most part is okay. (I am comparing it to my Samsung that has a perfect picture)

I decided at the last minute to NOT go with a 4K TV and instead go with a larger 1080p SMART unit. Why? No one has 4K programming yet. I'm very happy that I went with the Sharp TV - immediately after getting it setup and in place, there was an online upgrade to the firmware (always nice when your electronics get better with free updates). I love the wallpaper feature too - I've got ours set to show cool graphics and photos after 4 hours of non activity (neat visual backdrop in our loft).

My wife and I were floundering between this TV and a 65" Vizio 4k and I'm happy we went with this! Picture quality is great, Smart controls are easy to navigate, netflix preinstalled. And at the price($1300 on sale that particular week) we got a great product at an even better price for our new home. Samsung soundbar hooked up and works seamlessly

I was excited to purchase a 70" television. I have always been happy with Sharp Aquos. I realize I could have purchased a much cheaper television but believe you get what you pay for. Coupled with my U-verse HD the picture is beautiful, the frame classic and thin. I highly recommend

I bought this for a working environment. I use it in the conference room with a computer connected to it. It is hanging on the wall with the bracket i purchased at best buy. It was easy to put up and it connected to the computer with ease. It has a great picture and an easy to understand "on screen" menu. The guy at Bestbuy said it would be what i needed for the project at hand. He was correct. I have no regrets and i would recommend this to anyone.

My family loves this tv, it's so big on the wall. The picture is perfect and looks like real life. I watch all my movies and favorite TV shows on this tv now. Plus, being that it's a smart tv, I can go to You Tube, Netflix and Pandora. Everything is extra awesome on a tv like this.

Easy set up. The picture is good with factory settings. I found that the settings for a better picture is on the user mode with all of the settings kicked up a few notches. The room gets natural light from 3 walls with windows and a slider so there will be some user adjustments regardless of the TV brand. I did purchase a high end HDMI cable for optimum picture. There is a vary faint distortion with the blacks as the motion rate of 240 is either too fast or not enough,(hardly noticeable though, given the amount of natural light.) Night viewing is the best as the large screen comes alive.

I love this TV compared to my previous one. I purchased this TV due to my Vizio tapping out with a known issue. The picture is very sharp and vibrant. It's 5x better than my Vizio. The internet browser when streaming tends to stop/freeze and you have to refresh but I've only used it once. Also I miss having a keyboard on the remote like the Vizio. Using arrows to select text is worse than texting on a flip phone! Overall a really great TV. Picture is phenomenal! I utilize a sound bar but the TV's internal speaker are decent. I rate this TV Above average!

Excellent picture quality. The only con for me was the sound was not loud enough. For a 70" TV I was expecting a boom box... Lol. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and will recommend this TV to anyone shopping for a bigger screen smart tv. Kids love the apps... YouTube, Netflix, amazon prime and lots more.

When I did my home work the Sharp - AQUOS HD - 70" Class - 1080p - Smart - HDTV it was the best for the price and technology. I was extremely impressed when I got it home for the quality and the smart features for the picture. I had it mounted on the wall, and it is just like being at the IMAX.
