The best dupe of the normatec sleeves. It had great compression levels and is portable enough to take with you to places. Only downside is it requires an outlet but most of the time youll be home when using it anyways. Amazing for leg recovery and helping post knee surgery

Got this as a gift for my wife. It truly is helping her out with her leg and feet pain. I am only giving it 4 stars because she is short, it hurts her inner thighs when she uses all the zones. Not extremely painful but annoyingly painful. Other than that, great product. She is 5’2” btw.

If you're someone who struggles with tight, sore leg muscles or is in need of a way to speed up your recovery after a hard workout these just might be the answer! Targeted Air Compression for Instant Relief The boots provide soothing, pulsing pressure that feels incredibly relaxing. This helps promote circulation, ease muscle tension, and alleviate soreness in a way that's hard to achieve with traditional stretching or even massage. Whether you've had a long day on your feet or pushed yourself in a workout, the boots offer immediate relief. After a 50 mile trail race these boots came in extremely handy. Faster Recovery As an ultrarunner and someone who often feels the aftermath of leg fatigue from long runs or intense gym sessions, I was particularly impressed with the accelerated recovery benefits. After using the boots, my muscles felt noticeably less fatigued, and I was able to bounce back quicker, reducing downtime significantly. The targeted compression helps speed up muscle recovery, so you're ready to get back to your routine with less discomfort. Customizable Experience A cool feature about the boots are how customizable they are. You can choose to use one boot or both, depending on your needs, and adjust the intensity across five levels to get the right amount of pressure. With five compression modes and five different zones to focus on, you can target specific areas that need extra attention. Whether you're looking for a light, gentle massage or a more intense deep tissue experience, the intuitive control unit lets you fine-tune the settings to your exact preferences. I can tell you the pressure can get really tight! Convenient and Portable Design These boots are also incredibly user-friendly and practical for home use. The foldable design makes it easy to store when not in use, and you can even pack them for on-the-go recovery. Whether you want to relax after a tough workout at the gym or need to unwind during a long flight, the portability ensures you can take your recovery with you anywhere. I do wish they came with a carry bag. Easy-to-Use Control Unit The control unit is straightforward and intuitive, allowing you to easily navigate through various modes and adjust settings without a complicated learning curve. The ability to manually select specific areas of the legs for targeted relief is a nice touch, especially if you have areas that need extra attention, like your calves or thighs. One thing to note is the first time you turn it on you have to hold the power button for like 3-5 seconds. Final Thoughts Overall, the Sharper Image Power Boots are a fantastic investment for anyone serious about leg recovery. Whether you're an athlete, someone who stands all day, or simply want to relieve leg discomfort, these boots provide a professional-level experience that is both effective and easy to use. The customizable settings, targeted compression, and portable design make them an excellent addition to any wellness routine. If you’re looking for a way to soothe sore legs and speed up recovery, these boots are a game-changer.

The Sharper Image Powerboost Boots are great compression boots that are effective and easy to use. The boots use air compression to help promote circulation for faster recovery after workouts. They are relatively simple to use. You put the boots on, zip them up, and then hit the power button. The default setting is to just compress the entire boot at once at low compression. But the unit does feature a good amount of adjustment. You can choose between 5 different modes, that range from gradual inflation to individual zone inflation and everything in between. There are also 5 intensity levels, and lastly, you can choose to connect both boots or just one boot. Everything works relatively well. Switching modes and intensities is easy enough, however, the mode and intensity buttons aren't really labeled the best, they are flush/recessed just a bit on the unit, so in lower light settings, it's a bit difficult to see exactly what button you need to press. However, after using the unit enough, you'll be familiar enough with which buttons do what that you won't really need to look at the buttons. The unit is relatively quiet when working. I was expecting it to be much louder than it was. But I was able to use it in a quiet house with everybody asleep and I wasn't worried it would wake the kids at all. It's not louder than a blood pressure cuff, for reference. As far as effectiveness, I have never really used air compression boots before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I decided to give these a try after a workout and after a moderately intense bike ride. I was very impressed with the results. I decided to go with intensities 3 and 4, respectively, since I thought 1 and 2 were a bit too light. You're preferences may very, but it's nice to have the different options. I definitely noticed that my legs weren't as sore after both of my workouts. I will definitely be adding these boots to my workout routines going forward.

    These Compression Boots Really Work

I enjoy intense physical activity but do not enjoy the inevitable soreness, and sometimes even painful, recovery period that inevitably follows an intense workout. These Sharper Image compression boots are perfect for at home use, and no matter your age group or soreness level, these boots will help to ease soreness and expedite recovery time. The day before I tried these boots I did an intense leg workout. I pushed myself hard to ensure that I was sufficiently sore the next day. The first thing I noticed when using these boots was how strong the compression is. I found level 3 to be adequate for normal use, and level 5 to be ideal for moments of severe soreness. These boots provide immediate relief and I felt much better after using them. Using the product is very straightforward. Take it out of the box, plug it in, and use the control box to turn it on. The control box is intuitive to use and makes using the boots easy. I was easily able to set the compression levels and zones. If desired one boot can be used at a time. Make sure that your inseam matches the 25 to 31 inch parameters that are specified in the product title and description. As I have gotten older, I have found my recovery time to be more difficult and longer than when I was younger. This has sometimes led me to cut back on intense physical activity. Having a product like this will encourage me to work out intensely. I experience frequent leg discomfort so I am looking forward to using these boots on a regular basis with the hope that they will provide relief from discomfort as a well. I can not yet speak to how effective long term use of these boots will be in providing relief from leg discomfort, but what I can say is that after using them I felt like I had my legs deeply massaged. Sharper Image is known for making innovative and quality products. These compression boots live up to that reputation. If you are looking for a product to treat your legs after an intense physical activity, then this product is worth a try. I found it to be highly effective and I think that the performance will not disappoint.

I feel like the value of these is pretty high. These feel like they are made of high-quality material. These work for me and I have pretty thick thighs. These fit nicely for me (I am almost six foot) as well as my wife( who is 5’8). Putting them on for the first time feels a little clunky but these aren’t things you want to run in, its for after a run. Leg compression sleeves do a few different things like increasing blood flow, and helping prevent swelling and inflammation. Which is all perfect for recovering from a run. I love the pressure these can put out and that they roll up nicely. I wish they came with a bag, but that isn’t then end of the world. The buttons aren’t labeled the best but after a min of playing around with it I figured out what each button did and I’ve had no issue since then. Also, I love how flexible the hoses are, some I’ve used have very stiff hoses that make putting the legs away extremely difficult. If you are looking to get into recovering quickly after pushing yourself running, these are an excellent choice and an even better choice considering the value.

These Powerboost Boots came just in time for my “training” for Turkey 5K. I say “training” because 5K is nothing, except when you have to drive an hour back home before or after running 3 miles. As soon as I get home, I slip in them and it soothes my throbbing legs. I only used to see these boots with my basketball buddies who can afford boots like these. I think what they use are close to a grand, and to their description, these boots do the same, for a great fraction of the price. These boots are pretty simple to use. I slip them in my legs, put on my settings and I run them for 20 minutes on pressure 4 (or 5 depending on how I feel).`I'm 5’8 and the S/M size is perfect with the top of the boots hugging my thighs with more than enough distance from my groin. The fabric is durable and of good quality. It folds easily for storing or stowing in my mid-size activity duffel. It takes AC power, and my SUV has a socket that I can use, or I use an inverter if I use the other car. Either way, I can power it easily without blowing any vehicle fuse. At home, as expected, it is easy to power since the cord is long enough for me to plug it, and has enough length for the controller box to be beside me without reaching out too far from a relaxed position. The buttons take time getting used to. The markings are not super distinguishable from a distance, and I had to memorize the positions of the buttons themselves. Each button though is coded with a symbol that matches the function e.g. time, or pressure as the symbol is written beside the function. Button navigation takes some getting used to as well, even with a manual. I had to master it so I can actually use the functions properly because they are very useful and customizable for how I use them. The boot is smartly split into sections, 5 to be exact. There is the usual pressure that pulses—more like breathes, through the whole boot. Inflates and deflates in a decent amount of time so that it does not agitate my tired legs. I can set it using sequential pressure where it presses from the foot up to the thigh in succession. I just hoped it was a little faster than how it does it. There is the gradual mode that I do not use. There is the manual mode that I can use to specifically focus on certain zones. For example, if I just finished basketball, I usually focus on my calves and knee area. When it is running, I usually use the foot area, and some thigh. And with these settings, I can easily set the pressure for each. Again, all helped by mastering the buttons or else, it can get confusing to set up. I just wished there is a profile setting, so I can easily switch the setting depending on the sport I do. This is a really good companion to my activities. It helps relax my beat-up legs after my crazy activities, especially when I have to be ready to run again, the following day, after a 3 hour basketball session. Even the girls at home love to use it after soccer practice. So it is getting good mileage, not just for my miles-aged legs but for the club soccer young ladies as well. Snow-season is up, and I am sure these will come in very handy after those snowboard sessions. I think this is a must for anyone who values quick recovery after activities.

    Bulky but Extremely Effective

I have always been an active person and my preferred sport after swimming is rowing, even if it is on a rowing machine at home. I never thought much about air compression for my legs because my muscles rarely felt sore for long periods of time. However, I had a serious illness last year and after recovering from surgery, I noticed that I would get sore very easily. My doctor recommended air compression boots for after exercise. I did get a pair and quickly noticed how good they are for my legs. The only complaint I had was that it would apply pressure all over my legs at the same time. That was inconvenient not only because the pain was mostly at the back of my legs and the boots treated all areas as one, but also because I had a patch in the upper part of one of my legs with medication that was sensitive to pressure. When I got these, I thought it would address that problem, and it did because I can skip that area until I no longer need the medication patch. The default mode was almost ideal for me, but it worked better when I set it to a higher pressure. I really like the fact that you can have the pressure applied to different areas automatically or manually. Your choice. They make my legs feel better almost immediately after I put them on. I noticed that I enjoy them even when I don’t have any muscle pain simply because they’re very relaxing. Last night, my ankle was a bit swollen for some reason and I decided to give these boots a try for that purpose. I didn’t notice any visible improvement in the swollen area like I usually do for muscle soreness, but it felt so good that I will definitely use them again for that purpose. Any excuse to use them is game for me. But while I still prefer these to the others I was using before; one downside is that the pump is bulky. Actually, the whole set is big and not very friendly to take with you on a trip. I understand that the main reason for the pump to be so big is because it controls multiple areas independently and offers a few different modes and intensity levels, but I wish it was a little more compact. Still, once you put that aside, it is hard not to like them. The best part is that I have been experiencing a much quicker recovery after my rowing workout. In the morning, my legs feel completely normal. And this after only 4 days of use. Much better than the ones I used before.

First things first: once you take it out of the package, don't throw away the box. It is the best place to store it when not in use. With that out of the way, I absolutely love this. My season starts from end of spring and it is late fall now and I am in the middle of the off-season. My training sessions are at a halt but I did a session just to see how the boots work and have been really impressed. If you are into genuine workouts and/or sports activities and feel like the legs need respite after a hard day, this is definitely for you. For me it is always the ankles and then the rest and the compression provided for a tired pair of ankles is well worth the entry fee for this show. The package is of medium size and the product comes with the control panel that has toggle switches and you do the connection with the compression connector and switch the panel on. Remember to put on the books first and to zip it appropriately. The provided (very minimal) handbook is helpful. The only problem I had was trying to figure out which one was the left and which one was a the right boot. It says on the handbook that this difference is clearly marked out but I could not find the demarcation. In my experience, you cannot really go wrong with the selection per se as it works the same even if you switch it. I have kept the panel on the right and have tried both the combinations and it was not a problem. Just find a place to keep your back straight (maybe a wall) or a sofa recliner will work as well. You can toggle through the various modes and zones using the panel. I tried all the modes and also focused on specific zones as I needed to and everything was so relaxing and recuperating. It never got too uncomfortable even when you increased the pressure. There is an automatic timer for 10 minutes at each setting but you can increase it according to your wishes. The handbook does not say the maximum time you can use it but I have not gone beyond 20 minutes per session just to be on the safer side. The muscles do feel better during and after the session. There is no massage function in this one but the compression just feels on point and wonderful. Overall, I have been very impressed and would like to highly recommend the pair of boots. Just remember to order the correct in-seam length.

In high school I placed on the baseball team & I was on the wrestling team too. One of the things I loved to do was wrestle during tournaments & to play baseball games and play in baseball tournaments. One of the things I absolutely always hated was working out. My body was naturally fairly thin & muscular, with a nice muscle tone. But I absolutely, positively, without a doubt, hating working out. The results I got were great, but I didn't like the pain of working out. And that is pretty crazy because I have an insanely high pain threshold. I can take a large amount of pain. I just didn't like being sore, achy and just feeling not 100%. About 2 weeks ago I received the Sharper Image Powerboost Boots & do I thought I'd give them a try by working out in our home gym (mostly for my SO and my kids but now I've graced it for the first time in a very long time). A week before they arrived I did a workout and just to see what I would feel like. I was sore for about 4 days after the workout. So the Powerboost Boots arrive a week later & I decided to do the same workout. This time around my recovery time was 2-3 days and my soreness was gone. I believe it is attributed to the boots but I am now going to take a full month off and then use the boots just to confirm. However, if this is the case then I must say these are a win for me! My SO's mother had ankle replacement surgery over a year ago & is still struggling with her foot going numb and her having to rest after extended periods of being on her feet. I am going to let her try the Powerboost Boots as well and see how they make her feel after using them. If she feels as good as I do after using them then we are going to be getting her a pair this Christmas! So far I like these and I hope they serve us well in our gym setup!

I'm a disabled Army Vet and running was pretty much required when I was in (granted that was almost 20 years ago now). Needless to say, 5am physical training has not been a regular part of my workout regimen for a while so I have been gradually trying to get back into shape. My goal is not to get back into military shape, but at least get my grown man sexy back. LOL. I have set a personal goal to run a half-marathon next year and maybe a full marathon within the next two years. I prefer running outdoors on trails and parks, but its nearly winter here in Ohio so those options are not going to work well for me with upcoming snow and low wind chills. I have been hitting the treadmill and elliptical instead. I’ve been doing roughly an hour per day on increasing levels of difficulty and with my knee pain, I’m looking for ways to help recover quickly and keep my motivation to run. These boots have come in handy right from the start. There are several options to fit your recovery needs. I normally set mine to pulse mode and it runs on its on for about 10 minutes. I also like the gradual and zones modes. The compression is perfect and I’ve noticed an increase in my recovery. I normally do a post run stretch, grab some water and then put the boots on. I normally do it twice. Once on pulse and then the other on the zones mode so I can focus more on the areas that I know will cause me some pain or discomfort later. I’ve been using them for about a week and I actually really enjoy them. The only thing that would be better is a pair of massaging boots, but that may be a future purchase as Sharper Image does offer them. It’s important to make sure that your pants inseam is between 25”-31” or these may not work as well for you.

These boots might be some of the best post workout gear I've ever used. They have made my post run recovery exponentially better and are dead some to use. These boots can be used with both or one at a time and offer five zones of pressure on each boot. They have several different pressure functions ranging from pulse to gradual or even allow you to pressurize individual zones. The adjustable pressure allows complete control all the way from a gentle squeeze to an intense pressure. I used these after several runs and immediately felt relief as soon as I took the boots off. The relaxation and relief that I felt in my legs was like no other device ive used for post workout recovery. I know there are other boots that offer different features like heat and infrared light. But after using these and feeling the immediate difference in soarness and fatigue, I can't imagine recommending anything more expensive than this. Overall I have no complaints about these boots. They are simple, work well and provide exactly what the advertise.
