Price in line for what you are buying compared to when the price was double current MSRP. I use the Sound Soother to go to sleep as well as cover other noises outside during the day since I am a shift worker, working nights. Helps me to remain asleep & get my full 8 hours. Cheaper than running a fan all night. Just wish they would make the sound loops longer so that you don't pick up on the track repetition so easily. On many of the different sounds, the shortness of the loop can be more of a disturbance than soothing, so limits which sounds I use even though these sound tracks would be the ones I would normally choose. But for the price a good value & I am again getting to sleep easier.

I read all the reviews and I am very shocked at how critical people are of products now a days. The display is not too bright, the sound levels are fine and the alarm is very calm compared to older alarms. The 20 different sounds to choose from are nice, my favorites being northern woods, rain, wind chimes, and everglades. I liked it so much I bought another one for our spare room.

This is the best alarm clock I have ever used. Very nice variety of sounds, though some I cannot imagine wakening up to. Very easy to set or change alarm; two alarms works great for my wife and I. It also has the sleep timer feature, so you can go to sleep with sounds. One thing that would be nice would be to have the ability to go to sleep to one sound and wake up to another. But I still love this clock.

I found it impossible to fall asleep in a room illuminated by the blinding light of the backlight. Even at the lowest setting it was like having a bright flashlight on in the room. I finally had to find a thick cloth to cover the light. I chose "rain" as my "soothing sound" for the night, but even at it's lowest setting, it was too loud. The instruction book is terrible; so minimal that it doesn't tell how to set either of the two alarms and also neglects to mention that it's not possible to wake to "sound" when soothing sounds are being used for sleep. In that case, the Beep Tone is the only available awake mode. It wasn't difficult to set the clock. However, since the instructions only mention setting AM/PM in passing, it required trial and error to find out how to set them for the alarms. After this dismal one night trial, I'm shopping for another brand.

I was somewhat dissapointed. i can't figure out how to set a different sound for each alarm, and I can't set minimum volume to fall asleep while still keeping the alarm volume at max level to wake up the next morning. Most sounds are not soothing enough to fall asleep.

Bought this for "white noise" in my toddlers room while he slept at night. The lowest sound setting is pretty loud on most of the 20 sounds. I only use one sound. The brightness isn't so bad since it now doubles as a nightlight in his room.

Disappointing volume control. Each "click" is very coarse so the sound is either too low or too loud. Also, even on the lowest setting, some sounds are way too loud for sleeping.

I love my Sharper Image Sound Soother, but I wish the sound on it was much clearer than it actually is.

Bought this on Sunday night. Plugged it in & set it up with no problems. Had the sounds that night. Came home Monday after work and now the sounds don't work. The volume is on full blast and nothing. It's going back today.

I had been looking for a "sounds" clock for a while, lots out there let you sleep to sounds but not the alarm. This does both, I love it. Dual alarms and soft blue LED display make it comforting next to the bed. I highly recommend this.

I don't know about these other clowns, but i bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it. I also have one and it works great... so not sure how picky the other reviewers are, but i would def. recommend and have no complaints
