Prepare to many hours as you play campaign after campaign in this installment of the venerable Civilization series. If you've played Civilization before, you know what to expect, as this game continues to refine what has come before, but now in a more portable form.

Bought this for the switch because I love to play this game and is perfect game to play on long road trips or when needing to kill some time. However, if you are familiar with the Civ game series, the developers changed the gameplay just a enough that it gets confusing. It is not a show stopper though, if you happen to get stumped on something in the game, just reference what you need to know on You Tube. I promise you that you will find your answer on there. Overall, I am happy that I made this purchase

Sharp graphics. Tons of replay-ability. Good strategy game for all ages.

If you've played any of the previous entries in this series, then I'm sure you understand the title. If you haven't played these before, I can't recommend them enough. You don't need to have played any of the previous as they are all mostly upgrades from the previous. Civilization is similar to the classic Risk board game with so many ways to win rather than only by military defeat. Definitely recommend!

Great game to play on the go. Kind of a big learning curve but after that it's a fun game.

Civilization games on consoles are a very rare thing... the last (at least through my understanding) being Civ Rev. If it's any measure, that masterpiece is still in my XBox One X to this day! Additionally, I love most to all entries of the Civilization franchise, and this is no exception. I love the adaptation to the Nintendo Switch and I hope more on the way. Here's hoping for some expansions!

I really enjoyed this game. I played the one on Xbox and I think I like this better. Definitely worth getting for switch because it comes with some expansions. The only thing I thought it was missing was a way to use a cheat so you could win super easily, lol.

Only two games in my memory have essentially made me "time travel". The Sims, and Civilization. As soon as you start playing, you will absolutely get sucked in with the amazing detail and simple yet addictive gameplay. Having this on the go is the perfect purchase, especially on a car or flight during long travel times. Do your best to build your empire and last as long as you can!

I've played Civilization since Civilization III. The game's HUD can seem crowded at first but really has everything you need available at a glance. The tutorial brings you up to speed on the new features pretty quickly. Controls on the switch do take some getting used to but after a few turns, it becomes second nature. This game definitely has a lot of replay value because no two games are alike.

It's ok. I guess coming from a console players perspective who's only had a chance to enjoy Civ Revolution (and enjoyed it) it was a bit of a shock as to how much the game has evolved. The learning curve is very steep so it's not a very jump in and play friendly kinda game. There's definitely fun to be had thought.

Bought for $10. Demand this price. Old skool game.

I think the game handles extremely well on the switch I thought not having a mouse would kind of screw me up I was wrong they did the controls extremely well once you master them is a great game there are tons of things to do it is extremely challenging just spend the next few years just learning all the things that they're in this game I highly recommend this game for a strategy fan

This is a good game. I have always liked this series. They have added a lot of new items to the game so I need to catch up again as I have been playing the older versions. This is just the basic game and the expansions are not included. Overall a good game, I could hardly put it down ever since I got it.

Its a fun rts...definitely have to really think and strategize.

This is perfect for anyone looking for a Civilization experience on the go. Gameplay isn't too stripped down from the PC version. The only cons I can speak of are the lack of online or pass and play multiplayer and the Rise and Fall expansion. Despite that, I'm still having a great time with this game and I would definitely recommend it to any Civilization or strategy fan.

Best simulation you can ask for in switch to spend 100s of hours. The port looks great in switch and graphics is not lost very much compared to PC or other consoles. It's best played on PC but I felt it's next best at switch. All these goodies for just around $14 is a great purchase that too for a physical game.
