    Great little TV remote

I travel for work 100%, always changing hotels. I don't even use the hotels remote once I reprogram this thing for the current room I'm in. Usually takes less than a minute to program to a new TV. Not sure how I ever got along without it. I've been using this remote attached to my Fire TV remote for almost a year and a half. I think I've changed the batteries once.

Attaches very nicely to Fire TV remote. Easy to program, has necessary button functions. Only con so far is the Fire TV remote slides up and down very easily and does come out completely if not careful. Other thing to think about is that it only has channel up/down buttons, so it takes a little while to go through your channels without your actual remote, so if you’re gonna watch regular tv, you may still find yourself bringing out your native tv remote.

The Universal Remote Attachment for Amazon Fire TV 1st & 2nd Gen, 4k Stick, Stick, Cube, Fire TV with 4K, Alexa Voice Remote is such a convenient way to eliminate so many remote controllers that I purchased one for every Amazon firestick we currently use in our home (4). Less clutter to deal with, easy to use, easy to program and worth every penny specially when you can get it on sale. Would definitely recommend for everyone who utilizes a firestick.

This is a great universal remote, it has different functionality options, you can set the buttons to do whatever you want them to do. It works very well with my Amazon Firestick/TV. I am pleased with the product overall, it is lightweight, small and not bulky, not hard to use or set up, very simple. Anyone can set-up and use this device.

When I first spotted this product on kickstarter I knew I needed it and now having it I know I was right. We are a family of five who ditched the cable bill and opted for internet streaming instead, but it was becoming a pain to try and locate the tiny Amazon remote and then also having to locate the tv remote and the remote for the receiver. No matter how hard we tried to keep things together the pile of remotes would magically scatter amongst the many couch cushions. Now we just have the one remote that does it all and is wide enough to not get lost but still small enough to be convenient. It comes with standard remote buttons for power, volume, channel, source, and then two buttons that you can program as you desire. Setup is very easy! Just need to hold down buttons till the light flashes and then pair the old remote. I am completely satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend it for anybody using Amazon or Roku.

Made things very convenient. I like that you can program any button to any command you want. Only complaint is it could use one or two more buttons to have full control of your TV.

Just Perfect; Can Finally Control TV Volume

Whenever I watched anything through my Amazon Fire TV Stick, it got a little frustrating that I couldn't control volume without having another remote handy. With the Sideclick attached to the Fire TV Stick remote (Alexa Voice Remote), I can now control the volume and more using just the Fire TV Stick remote. Attaching the Sideclick to the Alexa Voice Remote was easy-peasy and programming was simple. Easy-to-follow instructions included. For those that are wondering, this works with the Alexa Voice Remote that is included with the Amazon Fire TV Stick. I highly recommend this and it is a great gift idea.

When we decided to cut the cord, something else you're also cutting is the remote that Dish gives you. We have a FireStick for our main viewing now, and it really doesn't give you options for a Universal Remote unless you get a model that uses Bluetooth. The SideClick is a cheap alternative--it does the basics like power, volume, and channel up/down, plus it gives you input and 2 additional programmable buttons. And actually every button on it is programmable--you just point it at the remote you want it to learn from, and push the button on that remote. It works great because with our new sound bar, when you turn on the TV, the sound bar comes on. It's just a bit wider than a normal remote, but we've grown accustomed to it. I don't really have any complaints.

Works good with the Firestick remote and eliminates the need for multiple remotes (after initial setup). I programmed it to operate the functions of the TV and also the channels/guide for the DTV receiver. Easy to program and easy to attach. The only issue I have with it is that the Firestick remote does not fit super tight in it causing the Firestick remote to slide up and down a bit but it is not enough of a problem to deduct a star. Highly recommended for Firestick users.

I purchased the sidekick remote because I was sick of juggling remotes. I don’t know why they wouldn’t include a power and volume button on the original remote but they didn’t. The sidekick was easy to program and does the job. I feel the price is steep for a simple remote but it is what it is.

This product is great at doing what it does. It's able to consolidate a few remotes into one. It's not perfect though. I almost wish it had a couple more buttons to program and at $30 this product is right at the line of affordable and pricey. Good quality though and would definitely recommend.

I programmed the volume buttons to control my soundbar, the A button for the tv’s mute function, and the power button turns both on simultaneously. The setup took all of three minutes and that’s including a beer break! This remote is only useful on devices that use infrared light technology. There is no Bluetooth or RF signal coming from the Sideclick. It adds a substantial amount of width to the Fire TV voice remote, but it doesn’t feel cumbersome. It actually makes it harder for the couch to swallow. The only negative that I can see is that it requires its own separate batteries. I got mine from Best Buy with reward points, but I would have gladly paid for it with real money. I just might do it anyways. There are only eight buttons, so don’t expect it to be an end-all remote. My toes hang over the front edge of right flip flop. The Sideclick cannot and will not fix this. Helpful, yes?

I bought 3 of these; 2 for us and 1 for my daughter. Easy to program and work fine with Sharp and Toshiba TVs. Be careful to use the right piece for your Amazon TV. I didn't pay attention & used the wrong adapter on the second one. GRR.

Nobody likes having to juggle with multiple remotes and with this gadget, you don't have to. It adds enough extra buttons to handle the things you need all the time, TV power, mute, volume, change channel and one more for input probably. You decide which programs do what. Programming them is dead simple and fast. Custom designed to integrate directly with your Fire remote. Quality is good. Very well designed. My only beef is it costs a lot more than it should. So wait and try and pick it up when it goes on sale.

This add-on to FireTV remote is fine so long as it's limited to basic TV functions. Would definitely be more functional if it had directional navigation keys but unit would probably be bigger and more expensive. Sideclick learns by pointing original TV remote toward IR window and selecting corresponding buttons so no messing with manufacturer codes, trial and error, etc. Did have to relearn a few buttons as it didn't work the first time. Minor annoyance but not a deal-breaker.

I wasn’t sure if this would be good for me but after setting it up I really liked it. My only complaint would be there aren’t enough buttons. 2 more buttons would be perfect.
