This is a good product but it didn't fit my needs. I wanted a full protector for my iPad mini that covered the back and the screen. This cover has a magnetic strip that attaches itself to the iPad. If you pull hard enough, it will come off of the iPad so personally, I was afraid of dropping it. I wanted a case that fit snuggly into a case. The smart cover option is great as it saves battery for your iPad but I didn't really need it either since I manually click the 'screen off' button.

Bought this for my wife. She ended up taking it back and getting a Smart Cover. Likes the cover better than the case.

We purchased this case when we bought our iPad mini 2 so that we could protect the screen and prop up the device when using it for both its work (notes, web, e-mail) and entertainment (Hulu/Netflix) functions. Not terribly protective when it comes to dropping the device, but it's a good first step for sticking the device in your bag without worrying about the screen.

Bought this product for my wife's ipad mini since I have one for my own ipad. Great product. Fits perfectly and provides great protection for the device.

I love the color and it goes really well with my purse. Maybe to good. Lol the protection is awesome, and when you close it it's off. Great! !!

If you're wondering why these are called Smart Covers, it's because of the magnetic properties they possess. They attach to the side of the iPad using hidden magnets that align the joint perfectly on the left-hand side, but won't work if you put them on the right-hand side. Magnets hidden in the right edge of the cover itself work as an on-off button. Open the cover, and the iPad is ON. Close the cover, and the iPad is OFF. Couldn't be easier.

This is a simple cover to protect the screen that folds to serve as a stand for my iPad Mini. It is held on magnetically and stays in place pretty well as long as you don't fidget with it. Interestingly, it turns the tablet on as you lift the cover so if you are holding it and flip the edge up at all you will be turning it on. This is nice if you are going to use it but otherwise it uses up a little power before it turns itself off again.

Had a pink one for over a year but wanted a change of color so I bought a bright green one, which I love. It protects the mini ipad screen while being almost weightless allowing me to carry it in my purse. It has a tri-fold feature that allows me to use it standing on an angle similar to a picture frame. It is a wonderful indestructible asset to my iPad mini..

Perfectly fit with iPad mini2. Don't buy a cheap case or cover, you may spend more money to replace with a right case or cover later.

It's standard, high-quality Apple merchandise. Feels great in your hands, yet adds little to the iPad in physical dimension. Great product!

If you're trying to protect you iPad, this is not the case for you. It's a good case, but it does nothing more than make your iPad screen turn on and off automatically and look pretty. You're better off getting a case on Amazon for $11 that will give you a back case and the same technology as this iPad cover. I only use this case when I'm at home and need to clean my iPad and when I'm too lazy to put my case back on.

Easy, no fuss cover in an interesting color. Poly cover is easier to manage than leather cover.

I purchased this Smart Cover as a replacement for one I had in red that I got dirty beyond cleaning. Most smudges and dirt come off easily enough but oily soot does not. (don't ask) That said I purchased the same brand and style cover again because I like them so much. The price is higher than 3rd party products, but Apple makes a very good durable cover. The lining is a suede like material that protects the screen and helps keep it clean. These covers work best when combined with a secondary back cover.

Lightweight and very functional for a simple protective cover. Nice color too!

This cover is compact and lightweight. It fits perfectly over the mini iPad and turns the iPad off when closed.

I love this cover. It is magnetic and simply attaches to the edge of your iPad mini. It knows right where to fit, so it attaches quick. Folding the cover over the screen closes the iPad (or locks, or whatever you want to call it). It can fold into a triangle and you can use it to stand the iPad up on its long edge. I wasn't worried about using a case for dropping or anything like that. This is simple, small, and lightweight. It makes it easy for travelling.

These are great covers for the money. They are designed by Apple so you get a perfect functioning case/cover for your iPad**. The smart design allows the screen to turn on/off automatically when opening the case saving you an extra step. They also look nice compared to many of the generic cheap looking cases around. I bought a black one for my iPad mini and a red one for my wife's iPad mini.. We both agree that this is a well made and highly functioning smart case.

This cover is soft and light weight. It fits the iPad mini 2 perfectly.

The apple smart cover works well as a stand and protects the screen.
