This Dead Bolt is Dead Solid

I work in law enforcement and I have installed a lot of security cameras, as well as viewed a lot of security footage in relation to crimes. Due to the nature of my work, security cameras are something that I geek out about. Eufy is not a new brand for me, however, a security camera in a dead bolt is a new one for me. First, you only SHOULD need basic hand tools and the Eufy Security App to complete the installation. However, I will warn you that the deadbolt is much longer than the existing deadbolt I was replacing. Although this is good for security, it may complicate your install a little bit. Other than that, the install is straight forward. Once you have downloaded the app and created an account, you will select the product that you are installing. The app will walk you through the installation with ease. If you have ever installed a normal deadbolt or a video doorbell, this installation will be a breeze. Once installed, the Eufy Security App is your friend. You will use it to set up users (pin codes, fingerprints, hours of allowed access, etc), as well as people detection zones and recorded video clips. Physical install took me maybe 15 minutes while programming three users took my approximately 10 minutes. After setup, all I can say is WOW. I am typically not a fan of wireless security cameras, especially battery powered cameras. However, this Eufy Smart Video Lock is making a strong case for me. The video is very clear, the people detection feature is spot on, and surprisingly the battery life is superb! Notifications after people detected or a door bell ring are nearly instantaneous. Voice transmission both ways is also very clear. From the video side, this product is a win! When it comes to the deadbolt function, this smart lock also excels. The fingerprint scanner works and works quickly. You also receive a notification when the door is unlocked and by which user. The buttons and product as a whole have a solid feel of quality as well. This makes controlling access to your property amazingly secure and simple. I am pretty sure that Eufy found a swiss army knife for home security here. If I had any complaints for this product, the first would be the price point. It is an expensive piece. However, it is a smart deadbolt and video doorbell built into one. If you price these two comparable products separately, you will be paying more than this Eufy product. However, be mindful that if you have a storm door, it may hinder the performance of this Video Smart Lock, at least on the video end. My second complaint would be ONVIF compatibility. This product does not have it. For most people, this will most likely be a non-issue. However ONVIF is a universal protocol that would allow you to implement this video doorbell into an existing camera system. This can be a great feature to add down the road as it would allow you to use one native application for your security needs if you entire ecosystem isn't already al Eufy. Overall, great job Eufy! This is a product that is going to take the security industry by storm and help homeowners feel secure in their homes!

The last few months I have transitioning from having a traditional home security system to something that I have customized and pieced together to be more of what I was looking for. After some work I have it almost to what I wanted, at a fraction of the cost I was paying for the older system. One of the things that helped me tweak the system was this great Smart Lock from eufy. The video capabilities really helped me get the angel I needed for from my front entrance. Let’s begin with the security aspects of this great device. First locking and unlocking can be handled in multiple ways. You have your traditional keypad entry, you can use the app on your phone, and you can use your fingerprint. You can register multiple users as well so that your family and those living with you have the same access. The included relay/chime box that’s included in the box will do a great job of extending the range of your existing router to make sure that the Smart Lock is able to get a solid connection to the network. I have never had issues with connectivity and the chime is loud as well. The other part of this is the video portion. Video quality is great and can identify when there is a person in the view. My previous front camera would send notifications when ever the trees would move in the front yard, or a shadow would shift. It was so annoying that we ended up disabling most notifications except for when the doorbell was pressed. No such issue with this one. You can tweak the sensitivity and what it will notify you about, and I have yet to get false notifications for shadows or branches moving. Video quality is great in daytime, but also has a great night mode that allows you to see clearly. I will say that the only thing I was a little bummed about was the kind of tight vertical viewing. If someone sets a package at the base of my door, I am not able to see it. It missed maybe the first foot near my door. Honestly, that’s my only complaint. You can still see someone walking up with a box, and this has happened, but I would assume you can still see someone walk off with your package. The installation process was very easy. The app will walk you through it, but I wish I had installed the app prior to starting the installation process. As it was the installation took a little under 30 minutes, but if I had installed the app first then that might’ve been even shorter. You are essentially just replacing the deadbolt on your front door. I was replacing another smart lock from a traditional security company, so it was just a matter of removing that one and sliding this one into place. Fairly straightforward and fast to get the entire process done. If you are like me and moving from another security company to something more to your liking, or if you are just starting your smart home security journey then this is a great keystone part of that setup. Great quality video, great notifications, and easy installation. This is an easy recommendation.

I was skeptical with smart locks at first but eufy has changed my mind. Setup was pretty easy. Battery is took about 4 hours to charge fully. I pulled my deadbolt out and swapped it out pretty easily. I lined everything up and it was in. One thing to note ... This won't work with a security door. It will hit and collide. Also if you put it on the inside door you won't get the benefit of the camera. App setup was super easy. I downloaded plugged in the antenna and scanned the antenna and followed the instructions. BTW. You need 2.5 GHz wifi. Without 2.5 you can't set it up. Application was super easy to use. Notifications and recordings were easy to go through. Clarity is really good. Both day and night vision is good. Night vision when activated up against the jam it kind of get saturated with the infrared. Day vision was really good. Even with direct sunlight it did not blur or block the recordings. Mind you I put this on my patio which has minimal use battery was pretty good over a week. Still near full. Pulling battery out to charge is easy. Only 1 plug. Doorbell function is nice too. Okay so the only bad thing is the backup key. It is not mainstream keys so I am not sure if you can replicate it. Although I did not look to replicate. Also I don't know how to rekey the unit either in case you need to rekey it. But everything else considered all the pros out weighs the small amount of cons. I would recommend this product.

Eufy Smart lock is an amazing device with tons of setting features it offer, this came in right in time as I just bought a new house, first thing I sure dude was change the lock with Eufy Smart Lock, unboxing the device was setup nicely, I did charge the battery first before fully used the lock, I let the battery charge for the rest of the night while I went ahead and install the the main device itself, installing on the door was simple, everyone should be able to figure it out, ofcourse there’s manual on how to install it properly. the door bell chime is also included, the box will provide you with Micro SD but I went ahead and upgraded mine to 64GB got more space. one of the best part about this door bell is the ability to program your finger print. and i’ve been using this feature pretty much everyday, setting it up takes couple of seconds since it’s tryin yo detect different angles of your thumb, but you also have the pin section if you don’t want this feature, at the door bell button is a hidden physical key fob, the packages with with 2 keys I gave one to my fiancé. where this door bell truly shine is at the app itself. I think the amount of features it offers it’s fantastic I like how in the app I have the ability to create my own custom quick response message, it’s loaded with surveillance features, so you have. great amount of option of how you want this door camera to react to your preferences. an auto lock feature is included you have all the way to 3 min for an auto lock, or you can even have schedule auto lock. Eufy Door Camera is up to 2k picture quality that can be recorded, Im currently not have it set to that because 1080p on camera is more than enough, plus majority of the time you going to be watching this on your phone, plus is a much better battery saver going 1080p rather than 2k quality. when it comes to night vision my only complaint about his camera is that I don’t think it can capture enough, if you don’t have any light outside at all, the camera is literally pitch black, it will have a hard time capturing anything, i’ve notice this by getting my amazon delivered to me, and it had zero recording, it’s also because I forgot to turn on my front porch light, either way I think the night vision is weak, so right now i technically don’t use it, I keep my front door lights on just so I can make sure I get some recording if something is up while we are asleep. I share my Eufy Camera account to my fiancé. so another thing I dislike is that I can’t seem to find a way to add another user for fingerprints, and i’ve search it settings by settings, so looks like the fingerprint is only for one person, which is a huge disappointment, it’s an expensive device and can’t even do multiple fingerprints save settings, I was so excited to use it and just to find out that looks like it’s only me gonna be using this finger print sensor. if i’m wrong prove me wrong eufy coz I don’t see it. overall I like this doorbell camera a lot, it’s beautiful piece of hardware tons of features from eufy and also you can subscribe for security if you want that but it’s totally optional. maybe eufy can release some kind of update that will support for more user to use the finger print sensor, for now that’s pretty much the only wish I got, oh the night vision improve that as well if you can do it on software level

    Excellent Addition to Eufy Line

INSTALLATION This is now the 3rd Eufy Smart Lock installed on my house. I have used smart locks from other manufacturers and keep coming back to Eufy as my go-to and recommended replacement smart lock. The Eufy Video Smart Lock combines the functions of their previous generation of smart lock with the addition of a doorbell. This was a great idea and a must-have solution for those with awkwardly placed doorbells. It also eliminates the need of homeowners needing to purchase 2 separate products, saving time, money, and installation hassles. For anyone contemplating buying a smart lock, but put off by the potential installation issues or troubles that may come with lock replacement, rest assured, Eufy has done a great job engineering the product. The lock is modular and is no different than replacing an ordinary keyed lock. Two screws for the dead bolt and a couple of screws for the lock assembly. The mounting bolts are even long enough to accommodate doors of different thicknesses. Aside from charging the included battery pack for several hours prior to, installation took less than 15 minutes. From start to finish, including a firmware update and product set-up with the app and fingerprint enrollment, took less than 30 minutes total. Excellent! EUFY APP The Eufy app has been through many revisions since its introduction and has continually been refined and updated. The app is easy to use and is quick to load and send notifications to your phone. I have the app installed on both an Android phone and an iPad and the feel and operation is consistent between either OS. The app is easy to use and simple to add new products, find recorded events, or even view live images from the device. That being said, the Eufy app is not without its faults. While it is quick to alert you to an event and easy to use and navigate, it often leaves you wanting when you get an alert. It is not uncommon to tap the View Event notification and there be nothing to see. While you can go to live view and it seems to work OK, it takes some time for the device to save the video and make it viewable for the owner. There are times when you view an event and you get audio, but no video. Granted the video is there, it just takes a couple of minutes to become accessible. It isn’t all the time, but it is often enough to be frustrating. This is something that could be squashed with a new app update. Older versions of the Eufy app worked more reliably than the newest versions. PERFORMANCE The best feature of this smart lock is the fingerprint scanner. Eufy stores fingerprints on an encrypted chip inside the lock itself. Fingerprint enrollment takes 8 – 10 separate scans of your desired finger and saves them to the lock. The Eufy lock reads a fingerprint in less than 3/10 of one second. Nearly instantaneous. The Eufy fingerprint scanner is much more reliable than my Android phone. My Android phone will get confused if my finger is damp or dry with the changing of the seasons. Not so with the Eufy scanner. It works nearly flawlessly first time, every time. Once you enroll a print in the lock and identify the person it is assigned to, the Eufy will alert you by that person’s name when unlocked via fingerprint. It works slick! The included 10000mAh rechargeable battery has great life. All my locks get several months of use on a single charge. However, once the battery does go bad, it goes bad quickly, lasting only a couple of days at most. On top of that, the battery packs are extremely hard to come by. I have been looking for a replacement battery for one of my older Eufy locks (same battery used in this device) and have been unable to order one for several months. I can’t even find a knock-off to replace it with. ISSUES There are only 2 issues with this lock that I can think of: Eufy has done an excellent job at updating its products and software over the years. But, their Eufy app needs some additional bug squashing. The View Event / Live View bug is frustrating. Not only does it plague this lock, it plagues my other Eufy products too. So, it isn’t specific to the lock itself. It is a software-based issue. Second, while not a knock against Eufy, is peoples’ expectations of a separate doorbell from the lock itself. Few people think to look at the lock for the doorbell. Some do, but you can watch most people look next to your door for the doorbell, not immediately see one and just wind-up knocking. Luckily, the Eufy motion detection algorithms are reliable, and the lock is already recording and alerting you to the person’s presence, but it is a downfall of an all-in-one product like this. Especially, if you have a multiple story house and cannot hear knocking at the front door from everywhere inside. CONCLUSIONS This is an excellent product. It is an excellent addition to the Eufy / Anker product offerings. Mechanically, my Eufy products have proven rugged, weather-proof, reliable and trouble free over time and I expect this lock to do the same. Images and video are clear and crisp even during the overnight hours. The Eufy algorithms work efficiently at differentiating between people in the background and people approaching your front door with minimal false alarms. The only thing keeping the Smart Video doorbell from receiving a 5-star rating is the Eufy app. It is time for the company to squash some bugs and get their app working more reliably. RECOMMENDED

I researched a lot and debated back and forth about about E330 vs S30 lock and a few things made the choice in my situation clear. 1. Built in WiFi 2. Optional use of either the built in chime and/or the separate chime 3. The lock has an integrated amount of storage... expandable by the optional separate chime device via microSD 4. It has a smaller mounting backplate and footprint compared to the S330. 5. All of the features I wanted at a lower price than the S330. Charge your battery fully before you begin the hardware installation. Installation was seamless and quick... about 10-15 minutes total. Be sure to use the appropriately shaped phillips-head screwdriver for install with the flatter and less pointy profile (just follow the image in the installation instructions in the online pdf). I used my precision Ifix It toolkit... this will prevent as with any screw, the chance of stripping it. The lock connected easily to WiFi. I utilized a guest network with WPA2 on 2.4GHz (most if not all of these are ot 5GHz compatible) The only issue here was the firmware install was failing repeatedly and until I rebooted the lock (by removing the battery and reinstalling it) and my router, did it succeed. Overall, I love it... and having the separate chime device as optional instead of required was a huge decision maker for me. I don't need any WiFi repeater/extender... The lock unlocks and locks quickly, always detects a human with motion detection, notifications on lock and unlock and method. To me, this was the perfect lock and if I move, I can easily take it with me.

This Camera is built to last. The first thing I noticed about it was the sturdiness of the device. It is built with heavy duty; material which ensures that is will last for a long while. All of the hardware was included to be able to install the smart lock . Installation took a maximum of 20 minutes once you read all of the directions , I can say it was fairly easy to set up. The video in the lock is a great idea to see what or who is at the door before you answer it and it is also a nice safety feature for yourself as a well as your neighbors. Downloading the app was simple and easy to install on your devices. I have to say that the 16 Gigs SD card which was included was a wonderful addition. Using the provided hardware, insert the deadbolt into the door top up marked insert screws, insert outside unit with the camera and numbers , reconnect the face plate and bolts, snugged tightly and your ready to go. You can’t go wrong with this video camera because the craftsmanship that was put into this camera will give you a product.

FANTASTIC SMART LOCK, DOORBELL, DOORCAM, NO SUB

MODEL REVIEWED EUFY SECURITY - S330 VIDEO SMART LOCK MODEL:E8530JY1 HEADLINE: FANTASTIC SMART LOCK, DOORBELL, DOORCAM, NO SUBSCRIPTION OVERVIEW The S330 was easy to install, physically. Like almost all Smart Devices, setting up the app is less than easy, but eventually worked after several attempts and changes. (see tips). Once everything was set up, it works fantastically. PROs • Well built • Everything is included you might need for hardware • No Subscription required to use the lock or store video locally to included SD card • Stylish (enough) for most people and homes • Integration with Google and Alexa (“Alexa Unlock Back Door”) • Included “Bridge” acts as a hub for your other smart devices from EUFY CONs • Network is 2.4Hz Only • Setting up the app paring it. Etc takes time and patience and a few reboots • Camera lens is “too wide’ so the door frame takes up a large portion of the image INSTALLATION TIP1: Plug in the battery to charge before you do anything else, at it takes 6 hour to charge and it does not tell you this until about the last step. Physical installation is no more difficult than replacing an existing deadbolt lock. The hardware seems above average locking hardware. The directions somehow make it look harder than it was. Both myself and my wife thought it wanted us to drill holes in our metal doors, but it was just a bad illustration. APP SETUP TIP2: On your phone, turn off cellular data and make sure your phone is only connected to you 2.4Ghz WIFI network as that is all that the S330 support. Even after a few attempts this was not completing the initial pairing process. The bridge would state “Network Successful’ but then the app never went to the next step until after I rebooted everything. TIP3: The paper manual says to plug in the Bridge before loading the app, but this is a mistake. You need to scan the QR code on the bottom of the Bridge which you can’t easily do if it is already plugged in. Also, the app did not tell me which QR code to scan so I wasted 20 minutes trying to scan the QR code on the lock in the battery compartment, and getting various error messages. Eventually I figured it out. Next you get to wait about 5 minutes for a firmware update. Which at first failed until I rebooted my phone and tried again. Once you get the Bridge setup, then you have to “add the lock” to the bridge. In this case instead of scanning the QR code on the lock, it puts a code on your phone that you have to show the video camera. OK, cleaver, but it took several minutes and lots of moving back and forth to get the camera to read the code on the phone. Next you get to wait 20 minutes for another firmware update. Finally, you can enter pin codes and finger prints, and configure various other settings (motion alerts and so on) TIP 4: It is really hard to open the battery compartment and I did not want to leave pry marks from using a tool, so I put a little bit of electrical tape sticking out to give me some leverage to lift off the completely smooth cover. USING THE APP AND LOCK The S330 finger print reader works great, every time. TIP 5: To use a pin, you have to “wake up the lock” first by pressing the check mark button. Then enter your PIN, then press the checkmark button. If this was explained anywhere I missed it and spent a fair amount of time trying to get the pin code to work. It took a few tries to get the S330 integrated with Alexa, but I’m glad I did now I can say thinks like “Alexa unlock garage door”. I don’t have a Fire device, so I can’t see the video on my TV for example but in theory I could. SUMMARY RECOMMENDATION Overall, once configured the EUFY SECURITY - S330 VIDEO SMART LOCK is a fantastic and solid well built device. It gives me the ability to know if I left the door unlocked and to relock it with my app or voice. The main reason I select the device is to allow my disabled son an easier way to open the door without getting frustrated with a physical key. I am especially happy that no subscription is required for most functions. I fully recommend the EUFY SECURITY - S330 VIDEO SMART LOCK

The Eufy umbrella of products has been a great addition to our home security and this lock is no different. We have enjoyed having it the past couple weeks. It was easy to install and setup. The build quality is great. It’s solid, heavy hardware. I was able to get it installed in 20 mins. The video quality is bright, crisp and clear. It also gives a wide angled view that’s great for seeing everything in the front of your property or wherever you place it. I appreciate the many features and settings that are available for this particular device in the app. I love that we are able to have customized messages for people lingering around the front door with their “Quick Response” option. You can use your own voice to record those messages as well. You can also scramble the code and use “wrong-try” password protection to further secure access to your home. My fave is “loitering reaction” feature. It has a message that is pre installed for you, or you can create your own for those pesky unwanted visitors. You’re able to set your detection distance, and activity zones just like their security cameras which alleviates false alarms and survey only your property. I love the easy accessibility this device provides. We are able to quickly unlock and lock our door with our fingerprint in seconds, which is a breeze in the morning when we need to walk our dog. No keys or going through the garage. We also have the option to type in our individual codes. I find that it’s best to tap the screen first before entering your passcode for two reasons. The first…if you tap where the digits are it lights up the area so you can clearly see the numbers. Second…if you begin to type the passcode sometimes it doesn’t recognize the first tap as the first number to your code but instead wakes up the screen, so you’ll be finished with your code but it may have missed the first digit because of that. Which can be frustrating for some older folks who aren’t keen to tech and gets frustrated with it easily. So the fingerprint option is great to alleviate that. The doorbell functions great. I get the notifications right away and we can audibly hear the tone indoors. I will say that I wish that this device connected to the base that we already have for their cameras. I don’t like having to have a separate chime/base for that. I think they have a new base coming out that may allow for that integration but it would be much better for Eufy to provide that option for those who have the base that works with their newer cameras as well. If something is wrong with the device or the battery dies you still have options to get in. You can use the hidden lock with the keys provided or you can charge the unit with a power bank for 5-10 mins to give it enough juice to operate. The same power banks you would use to charge your mobile phone. I dont have many complaints whatsoever and I highly recommend this to everyone.

Okay, this is a solid device. The materials and construction are top quality, and a whole lot of thought and engineering went into this. If you have any experience with deadbolts, this one is straightforward and easy. It has all the parts and hardware you need, unless your door isn't notched for the rectangular fitting. If you want the round insert, you have to order it. I'm kind of surprised that they don't just throw it in, but I went ahead and mortised my door so I didn't have to deal with it. It includes a reinforced striker plate which is great. I already had a reinforced striker so I didn't need it. Other than mortising the door, this deadbolt set just dropped right into my existing deadbolt holes and worked smoothly. It has a wireless doorbell that also acts as your hub and video storage. So -- for installation, setup, and function, this is awesome. Setting up passcode numbers, integrating with Google Home, setting up fingerprints, configuring home and away settings are all solid and easy. Unfortunately, I didn't do any decent planning when selecting this particular device. I'm in Minnesota, so I have storm doors on my front and back doors, so the video and doorbell functions aren't very useful. See pictures. My storm door completely blocks the camera, and nobody is going to open the storm door to look for a doorbell to ring. However, if the separate Eufy doorbell and deadbolt are the same quality as this set, I'll get them for sure. In the meantime I have an awesome smart deadbolt.

I've never owned a Eufy product before so this is my maiden voyage into the world of Eufy. And I must say, I'm somewhat impressed. If you have ever installed any run of the mill deadbolt, then most of the difficult portion will be pretty easy. You get the exterior fingerprint/keypad/video camera housing, the deadbolt, and the interior manual knob/battery housing. Once all of that is attached and tested, then all that's left is to the install the app, install the bridge/chime, and update-update-update. The app is very intuitive and helpful. It guides you through the step by step process of installing the physical lock itself, and then setting up the bridge/chime, and the features are all great. The bridge chime HAS to be installed in order to proceed in installing the smart lock itself. I guess this is done so that it can access the wi-fi in a greater more stable capacity. You have an opportunity to set up the fingerprint sensor, a multi-digit passcode, and do some tweaking such as video settings, auto lock, on touch locking, and others. My only gripe is the night vision on the camera. It's not the clearest looking video, and a little calibration freedom would have been nice. That's my only real gripe with the Eufy smart lock. Other than that, it's been smooth sailing. I just wish it came with an extra battery so you're never waiting for it to charge while your smart lock is essentially sleeping.

Cameras work seamlessly with the Eufy app. Easy installation and setup with step by step directions. Customer service was prompt and helpful. Picture is clear and works like a real doorbell with the home base. Fingerprint access and face recognition work excellent. Battery seems to be working long so far.

Just installed and it works flawlessly. Took my fingerprint in just a few steps and easily opens the door with it. Nice to have a combo of lock and camera and love that there are numerous options to use- code, fingerprint, app, and key. Also has the option to be able to charge it from the outside if you need to in case it runs out and you forgot the physical key. It's a little pricey, but the build quality is excellent and it was easy to install; so far battery life is good, still at 88% after several weeks and frequent camera checks.

I recently purchased the eufy Security Smart Lock E330 with Chime in Light Gray from Best Buy, and I’m absolutely blown away by how well it works. Installation was a breeze—took me about 15 minutes with just a screwdriver, and the instructions in the eufy app were super clear. It fit perfectly on my door with no adjustments needed, which was a huge plus. The multiple access options are what make this lock stand out. The fingerprint scanner is lightning-fast (unlocks in under a second), and I love that I can also use the keypad, app, or even the physical key if needed. The biometric access feels futuristic and has been flawless so far—my family’s fingerprints were recognized instantly after setup. The WiFi connectivity is seamless, letting me lock or unlock the door from anywhere using the eufy Security app. I’ve even set it up with Alexa for voice control, which is incredibly convenient. The chime feature is a nice touch—it doubles as a WiFi bridge and gives me a doorbell-like alert when someone’s at the door. Pair that with the 2K camera, and I’ve got a crystal-clear view of my doorstep, day or night. The video quality is impressive, and the motion detection is spot-on, cutting down on unnecessary alerts. Battery life has been solid so far—I’ve had it for a month, and it’s still going strong. The fact that it stores videos locally with no monthly fees is a huge bonus compared to other smart locks I’ve tried. My only minor gripe is that the key slot feels a little flimsy, but I rarely use it since the fingerprint and app options are so reliable. Overall, this smart lock has given me peace of mind and made my daily routine so much easier. Best Buy had it at a great price with fast shipping, and I’d recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade their home security. Worth every penny!

Great product. A smart lock, video camera, and doorbell all in one. Video clarity is better than what I expected. Surprisingly, it shows more than I expected too. It was easy to install and connect to my Google home. I watched a lot of reviews on smart locks and doorbells with cameras and this one is what I chose to go with and I don't regret it all. The rechargeable battery lasts a long time and is easy to recharge. My other locks use AA batteries and I just hate the waste.

Eufy Video Doorbell S330 is a Frustrating and Unreliable Smart Home Device After extensive research, here's a scathing review highlighting the numerous shortcomings of the Eufy Video Doorbell S330: Installation Nightmare The setup process is an absolute nightmare. Installation takes over an hour and requires drilling into your wall, with a complicated process involving a HomeBase 2 that must be connected via ethernet cable5. The devices loudly blare unnecessary instructions during setup, adding to the mounting frustration5. Performance Issues The doorbell suffers from critical performance problems: Extremely slow motion detection and notifications3 Poor night vision that becomes essentially useless beyond 10 feet3 Frequent issues with motion tracking, often missing or late-triggering events1 Technical Limitations The camera cannot be easily adjusted, leading to awkward viewing angles4 Large and bulky design (almost 16cm in height)5 Unreliable motion detection that frequently misses events13 Software Concerns The Eufy app is plagued with bugs, creating additional frustration for users. The "View Event / Live View" bug is particularly annoying and affects multiple Eufy products4. Key Drawbacks Inconsistent motion detection Poor night vision performance Complicated installation Oversized design Buggy mobile application While the doorbell offers some interesting features like dual cameras and free video storage, these are overshadowed by its significant reliability issues. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a smart doorbell solution.

Easy installation and great picture quality. I wish there was a way to adjust the recording length for events, so it would record for a length of time after, but overall great purchase. I like that I can view the live stream and unlock from anywhere, or generate temporary passcodes for limited duration or one time use.
