Total disappointment played all the socom game but this one missed the mark.

The gameplay is awesome it reminds me of Socom 2. Yea the features are taking long to be added but just look past that and the game is great!!!!!

This game is a let down!! why??? first: they try to compare that with SOCOM 2 (the best of the best) and the game is a rip off of GRAW(Ghost Recon) RSV (rainbow six vegas) and COD4 (Call of Duty4) OVT view (over the sholder view) is horrible and the laaaaaagggg my god!! is just a bad game!!!!

The headset works great. i love the maps. the character customization is Great along with the weapon setup. really the only problem i have with this game is that it freezes up to often. other than that it is great. a must buy for any SOCOM fan

love this game mic isn't the greatest but you get a game with a it... i think it's worth it because you can make your armour different and make it lighter and heaver.. i like that you could have a red shot sight and it shows on the person.

The game is one of the best socom games. The only problem its related to the online servers but this is a constant for all online only games when they are released ,after acouple of weeks all the issues will be fixed.

This is a must buy for online gamers. Although there still working on the server issues this should be fixed within the next week or so. I havent had many problems myself but others have. But on good note the game is great being able to join into a clan instead of just having the tag like in COD4. You also get to customize your commando and mercenary with the type of armor you want, face paint, scars, etc.Theres quite a few weapons like the P90, M14, AK47, etc. Theres a maximum of 32 players in a room. So drop the COD4 for a while and pick up a copy of socom you wont be disappointed!

So after having socom fireteam bravo 2 on psp and owning all the hacks i thought this would be right up there with the latest and gretest COD4...wrong unless u are a die heart socom fan save your money for the much more customizable and easyer to use COD4......

I bought this game but didn't get to play it until a couple of days after. But once I tried playing it, it took about 40 mins to get it installed on my ps3. then once it installed it created my profile then it took 1 & half hours to download and install the update for the game itself, when I finally got it down loaded, it says that the game data was corrupt so I had to deleted the game data and do it over again, then once that was finally corrected I never could get connected to a server until about the ninth try. I kept getting server failure connection. This game is a hot mess, don't waste your time or money for this.

I purchsed this SOCOM game not knowing that it was Online Play Only. I don't have a fast internet connection so i cant play it, what a rip. If I had known this game was online only i would not had boughten it.Also set up takes along time . you have to download a save file to save to,guess it needs its own or something. Buyer BEWARE read the box first before buying. the end result for me is i am going to keep the game only because of the headset that i needed anyways for other games.

So I'm a big SOCOM fan my fav. being socom 2, so I went out and got this game today being the first day it came out. hurried home put the game in and that when it all started, first the game had to load on to the hard drive like any other game but it took 3 times as long then after that there was 2 more updates I had to have, so after about an hour and a half of uploading i was ready to play, So i go to log in and i get a failed to log on to the network. The sever was down on the first so i spent 40 buck to watch my game load for a couple of hours, i didnt even get to play it. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

I'm a SOCOM nut!!! I waited for years for this to come out, only to find that it's online only. You've got to be kidding me!!! I don't spend hours/days playing games, sorry-have better things to do. Not everyone cares about "online gaming". When the KID at best buy told me that soon all PS3 new releases will be for online play only I thought, time to get rid of my PS3. What a disapointment this game (and if the kid was right, all PS3 games) is. It took FOR EVER to load and just as bad to delete. Unless you have hours to devote to loading and online play, this game is not for you.

Best online shooting gameplay in a game ever. A must have title for all ps3 users.

If you love Socom one and two then you still need to stay away from this garbage. I never could get the friends invites to work and the game was really never fun to me.

People have played the beta version and was not to excited about this game. What they don't understand is this game will only get better because it is network based. I am really excited about this game because you don't have to go thru game battle to set up a tournament. Tournaments are part of the game.

This game exceeded my expectations. So many little things added made this game nice. Knifing, different 3rd person view option, customizable everything, all the way down to communication between other players. The bluetooth headset included works fantasicly, better than my motorola.

As a player of SOCOM 1 (PS2), SOCOM 2 (PS2), SOCOM 3 (PS2) and a beta tester of SOCOM Confrontation (PS3), this is one of the best, if not the best real time online shooter game. You can customize everything from your players gear, weapons to the scenarios of the game. A must buy!!!

Very unsatisfied, PS network REQUIRED to play and the packaging is not clearly marked stating that fact. The information during research for the game did not indicate it asn on 'online only' application otherwise I wouldn't have spent the money. From what I've read further there seems to be problems with product support for this game. ALL IN ALL A POOR PRODUCT CHOICE!

I purchased this game over the past weekend based upon past experience with Socom games. What a disappointment. Guess my fault for not researching the game. No single player option which is how I intended to play this game. Besides that, takes forever to setup and not very intuitive. Intend to return to Best Buy and exchange for a better designed game.
