The phone is slippery, so you'll need it for sure.As far as protection goes, it'll certainly keep scratching and general wear from normal usage at bay. Seeing as I do not drop my expensive electronics, I highly doubt I'll ever find out how well it absorbs shocks.

Help protect a slippery phone

It is a basic phone case and as long as it keeps my phone from breaking I'll be happy.
