this game is fun... It is different in that it is 3d version. Last Sonic I played was on Sega Genesis. The game allows u to switch between the players which is fun since they each have different special powers/moves. I'd buy Super Mario before this but I wouldn't discourage someone from getting this game. It's somewhat easy, yet still fun.

Sonic has been a part of my household since I was a very young child. I love the fact that Nintendo continues to make 2D games like this because they allow everyone in our house the opportunity to play without much of a learning curve.

I grew up playing Sonic games but I haven't bought a new sonic game in many, many years. So, my sister and I decided to give this one a try. It was okay and the fact that I had someone to play along with made it better. It was just hard for us to get past the personality change in Knuckles. He used to be a quiet, mature, and mysterious character but I guess in this new generation, he's a hyper muscle head. Gameplay itself was okay. The only thing that was kind of difficult to deal with was the camera.

This is a great game for the money. You can play 3 players simultaneously and it is half the price of a regular game.

My son loves anything sonic. Although he was able to beat it pretty quickly.

Sonic Boom. A name that will live in infamy as possibly the worst Sonic game out there. I digress. Most of the reviews on any Sonic have the expectation of "This game will be bad because it's Sonic" stigma but I will say, for this game to be what it is, it's pretty good. It's not the typical high speed side scrolling Sonic game I grew up with back in the 90s but his game has its charm in that it is an excellent 'hub based beat em up adventure'. If you are a parent with a young child, this game is top notch. The humor and banter is good and the mechanics are not overly complicated. I do admit the character designs are off putting for the Sonic snob in me and the graphics do become quite choppy at times but nothing is game breaking and for the price you get every dollars worth.

I bought this for the kids and it is well worth it. Most of the Nintendo games with well known characters like sonic and Mario are always something kids will enjoy.

My wife and daughter love playing the game together. They said there are a few parts that are frustrating when they do not need to be but besides this the game is fun.

There is a huge 1gb patch that fixes issues. My son likes this game and it has good multiplayer.

Loved this open area Sonic game. You play as different characters to help you get through the map which makes it that much better.
