I have two Sonos Connect Amps and one Sonos Connect that is used in conjunction with a Pyle Amp to drive 14 speakers and a subwoofer in total (including 5 around my pool). The ease of set-up/use and quality is just awesome- grouping different rooms, various music sources (Sirius XM & Spotify) all while controlling everything from my iPhone. I love it and am just looking for excuses to buy another Play1 speaker! ...love Sonos!

I bought the SONOS ConnectAmp and the SONOS Bridge to bring us into the era of digital media while taking advantage of some very good speakers that we had not used in quite a while. We didn't have any SONOS equipment before this, so we were setting up the SONOS network from scratch. Setup was easy, and the sound quality is very nice. The convenience of browsing through our music and adding to or changing a queue is excellent. The ConnectAmp is small enough that it just sits on top of one of the speakers, but powerful enough that we would not want any more volume. We play classical, jazz and popular music from CD's that I have loaded onto our computer's hard drive via iTunes (with settings to favor quality over compression), songs purchased through iTunes, and music purchased online from other sources. I had to buy cables to connect the speakers. The Best Buy shipment arrived in good condition and was fairly timely given that we were having blizzards at the time.

Pros: very light, very compact, yet puts out quality sound! Extremely easy to set up and will power most passive speakers. Very strong WiFi signal for its size! Cons: Fairly expensive for the price, but you are paying for wireless convenience and a ton of streaming music options.

We had a 15 year old audio system in our house with speakers in 6 different locations. There were keypads in each of those locations to control the feed, volume, etc.. The Sonos system allows us to do all of this through our phone or tablet and really is much easier to use. The sound is great. I can group multiple rooms on the same output without walking from room to room. I can play just about everything everywhere including all the streaming stations (IHeart, Pandora, SiriusXM). For us old school people I can even play my CDs from my computer through Windows Media Player by "casting" to a location. I have also put Amazon Echo Dots throughout the house and use voice commands to start, stop, change audio anywhere I have speakers.

I recently installed Bose 51 outdoor speakers and needed an amp powerful enough to get good sound. Looked into the Bose sound touch SA-5 as well as surround sound amps. Nothing compared to the power, flexibility, and options as the Sonos Amp. Setup was a breeze and within 5 mins I was steaming music. Also easily connected to my network storage drive. Interface is simple and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Works as described and expected. Easy setup, all the normal Sonos excellence. It seems very expensive for what you get. I wanted the AUX input to add an airplay input to my system. A Play5 would do this also. A Play5 costs less, is a self contained speaker with amps and has the AUX input. Why is the connect amp so expensive? It's the only Sonos solution to getting bigger stereo sound than a Play5 or playbar/Sub combo though.

This is so awesome. I installed the connect amp downstairs in the basement and my router is upstairs in the family room. It connected wirelessly and I've used it a number of times without issues. I do not have any other SONOS products. It is NOT wired to my router!! I emphasize that because the sales person told me that it would need to be hard wired to the router. I have two hard wired JBL speakers attached and the system works flawlessly. I will be getting another connect amp for the upstairs deck. I currently have two Yamaha speakers on my upstairs deck hooked up to my ONKYO 7.1 system but the SONOS works MUCH MUCH better.

I bought my first one to power my in ceiling bedroom JBL speakers rather than an integrated amplifier. It shares my Sonos soundbars for multi room perfectly synced digital content and has both analog and digital inputs. Very well made and easy to setup. My phone apps. (I have both Android and IOS) rock... As does the interface on my laptop with it's extensive library and streaming content as well. Seems the bugs are out of adding large Mac music libraries also. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Solid engineering and manufacturing.

I had a full receiver powering my backyard, but due to some remodeling, I needed to reconfigure, that is when I settled on the Sonos Amp. It powers my 6 speakers wonderfully. (I do have a Sima speaker switch in between) I wish I had added this earlier. I have also added separate Sonos speakers for other locations in my house and love the functionality. If you are considering Sonos, feel safe in knowing you are making a great choice!

Sonos Amp Great Way to Connect Existing Speakers

I've been changing over my home audio system to Sonos and was originally told that I could not use my existing wired speakers. After a little research, I found out that I could utilize my existing wired speakers via the Sonos Amp. I'm now running my outdoor speakers on one Amp and my 4 wired ceiling mounted speakers via another Sonos Amp. The sound is great and I like the functionality that comes with the app and being able to turn on and off the various zones within the home and change the various volumes in each zones to balance out the sound. I wish the Sonos Amp was more powerful as my speakers can handle more, not like I'd use it though. I also wish the Sonos Amp would allow for more speaker connections and allow for right and left adjustments. I'm still very pleased with the product, but this is why I gave it a 4 rating and not a 5.

I had a setup of conventional 5.1 amp and speakers. Of course there were wires all over the place. A friend had the Sonos system for a while and was always talking about it. I found two of these on special and decided to take the leap. And I have not been disappointed. Being able to control the music through phones or tablets is great. I usually use my tablet but if I am in the other room, I just use my phone that is always with me. The Connect Amps make the conventional speakers usable with limited wires.

I bought this connect:amp to run some existing wired wall speakers in my new home, because I was also buying a playbar. I wasn't keen on setting up an amplifier with more wired speakers, so this solution suggested by a Best Buy employee really appealed to me. And it has turned out great. Easy to set up (luckily I already had cat 5 in the right location), speakers sound great, and I can adjust relative volume of the wall speakers and the playbar using the Sonos app. Very happy I went with this solution.

Very easy to be up and running. Sounds great. Best part is being able to turn on the speakers remotely and connect to sirius or music library. I plan on getting a couple more for other areas of outside. I highly recommend. Only downside is it seems costly.
