Delay makes it worse than bluetooth

I bought this to have a wired connection from my monitor dock to my paired ERA 300's, however there is a notable delay when adjusting the volume. $19 is a waste of money when bluetooth is a more stable connection than wired.

I found this product to be better than some reviews indicated. It makes the speaker better in that connection is instantaeous compared to delay or needed to add as Bluetooth the first use of the day each time.turned on.

Solid adapter which is specific to Sonos speakers. You have to use this adapter if you want to run a 3.5 mm line product into the Era 300.

    Works fine, completely over-priced

Sonos being Sonos, they created a proprietary Line-In adapter for their new speakers. You cannot use any other type of adapter on the Era 100 and 300, it will not work (presumably there is some sort of handshake between the device and the adapter). It works well for vinyl, and allows you to stream that Line In input to any other Sonos devices in the house. But anything that is anti-consumer shouldnt be highly rated.

Needed for Sonos Era 100/300's if Line-In

This is a need if you are planning to do Line-In this is a need. The Sonos line-in triggers the application to "read" that the device is ready for a line-in connection. Before I got the Sonos adapter, I had tried a few other Type C to 3.5mm and it doesn't detect it, but the quality of the sound with this adapter is great.

Proprietary nonsense. I expect better from Sonos.

This is the only adapter that works for the Era system and no other third party adapters will work. Should be included with speaker purchase if this is that critical for system functioning. Completely unacceptable for the so called 'next generation ' Sonos.

Not a verified purchase, but I do have a Era 100. If you dont need perfect audio quality, then you can just use bluetooth to hook up your computer to your Era 100/300. After that, other speakers on your system can be grouped via the sonos app.
