It's a Sonos speaker, do you really need to know anything more? You know that it is going to sound amazing no matter what. While it is hard to appreciate how they sound on the Best Buy sales floor, once you get home you'll be amazed. If you already have an Amazon Alexa device, get the Sonos One SL and save some money. If it's going in a room where you don't have a voice assistant, the additional feature is really nice being built-in. If this is your first or only speaker, you won't be disappointed. The setup is a breeze with the Sonos app and the speaker automatically adjusts itself based on where it is placed in your room. If you're adding to your Sonos system you already know and don't need to even read this review. The speaker can also be used in a pair to create a stereo separation and hear your music or movies in ways you didn't realize before. Airplay 2, voice control and a great app are icing on the cake and just add value to an already amazing speaker.

I recently purchased the Sonos One (Gen 2) Smart Speaker with Voice Control built-in in Black, and overall, I'm highly impressed with its performance and functionality.
Setting up the speaker and integrating it with Google was seamless and hassle-free. The voice control feature works brilliantly, adding a layer of convenience to managing the speaker effortlessly.
One of the standout features is its compatibility with other Sonos devices. The ability to create a cohesive and immersive surround sound experience by connecting it with other Sonos devices is remarkable. The audio quality is rich, delivering crisp and clear sound that truly enhances the listening experience.
However, the only downside I encountered was the limitation wto play music across Google devices and Sonos simultaneously. It seems the integration isn't entirely seamless in this aspect, restricting the connectivity to other Google devices.
Despite this minor setback, the Sonos One (Gen 2) Smart Speaker remains an excellent addition to my home audio setup. Its impressive sound quality, ease of use, and seamless integration with other Sonos devices make it a standout product in the smart speaker market.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a smart speaker that delivers exceptional sound quality and integrates well within the Sonos ecosystem, the Sonos One (Gen 2) is undoubtedly a top-notch choice.

Great sound from a small device. I have had another Sonos One for about 2 years and haven’t had any issues. I purchased this to be used for surround sound with the Sonos Arc and they definitely handle the job. Setup is plug and play once you have the Sonos app.

Great sound and automatically connects to my existing Sonos soundbar and sub. I gotta figure out something tho. I hate that in surround sound mode... the voices come from the soundbar only and I'd like it to come from these which are placed on each side of me. Worst case I'll call Sonos for help.

What can I say...I am really enjoying these speakers. The sound is fabulous coming from a tiny speaker. They are very modern with design and ease in setting them up on the Sonos app. I dropped 1 star because sometimes, Alexa suddenly just does not respond and I have to reset the voice command on the sonos app and alexa app.

These Sonos speakers are very easy to set up once you install the app on your phone. I really like that they all connect to other Sonos speakers throughout the house and you can select what speakers play if you don’t want it playing everywhere. The sound is really good and it connects with my Amazon Alexa app great.

Wasn't a believer in Sonos till I got one. Not that I was hating on Sonos just didn't know trouble free and great sounding they were. My wife and I recently had a outdoor pool system installed in our backyard and used a Sonos for the brain of the speakers. We had all our speakers surrounding our pool and spa bit didn't have our seating area covered. The theatre guys insisted we just buy a stand alone Sonos that plugs in and we could place it in the seating corner. How easy this purchase turned out to be. Simply plugged it in it found our network and was easily added to network of speakers. Can adjust volume etc just like the outdoor system. We're thinking about adding another for inside of house so our house parties have consistent music streaming all around the house. Thumbs up Sonos!!!! Btw these units sound bomb...big bass and clarity on par with Bose speakers and I own 2 of their Bluetooth speakers. Those will gather dust now and just be used for road trips

Sonos has dominated the audio market in this price range for very good reasons. The sound quality is excellent. The tuning in a room is unexpectedly precise. The ease of setup continues to impress me as I try to help others setup their non-Sonos systems at home. I have 8 Sonos devices, including two pair speakers (have an Arc system in the media watching room). Can't beat this without spending a whole lot more money.

For the price and the sound that it produce, It’s amazing. You will be deceived on how much thump it has for its size. Design is simple and elegant that it will go along well with your furniture. It’s a must if you have spare money.

Sonos' ease of use and quality for its price is unbeatable. I bought a pair of the Sonos ones for use in a bedroom and they work extremely well, although, I do notice that there is an exact sweet spot where it is best. This is entirely due to my room setup at this time though, the speakers are not spaced or positioned as well as I would like so I would not complain about that as an issue, I would only note it for similar purchasers.

Good Speakers, buggy software/integration

I bought 3 to add speakers to my SmartThings / Alexa environment. Primary reason was to have speakers integrated because Echo devices don't act as speakers in SmartThings and I wanted to generate alarms/announcements. The speakers themselves are solid and have good sound. Their app/software is the weak point. Setting up the first speaker took over 2 hours. (should have been less than 10 minutes) I went through the setup myself about 6 times, including reset/start-over before giving up and contacting Sonos tech support. They repeated the steps a couple times before digging into my network and determining there were some settings in my Asus router that were interfering. They seemed to have a specific set of instructions for my router as they drove straight to the specific screens in the web interface (factory settings, not something I did). One thing was to turn off the parental controls so if that is something you need it might be a problem for you. Fortunately for me they were no longer needed. They were finally able to get everything working with the first one. Adding the second took about 15minutes on my own as I still had to loop through a reset at least once. The third one went perfect in less than 10 minutes (each speaker went through a software/firmware download - that is the longest part) The integration with my Sirius XM and Spotify accounts was buggy. Each failed the first 2 times I but eventually got XM working.
I gave up on Spotify as I don't use it much anyway. I primarily use the Alexa integration for playing music so you don't have to actually set those up in the Sonos app if you are using Alexa. You will if you want to use the Sonos app. Ultimately I would recommend the Sonos stuff. Your setup may go better than mine but be prepared for a bumpy initial setup.

Great WiFi Speaker

I have 6 One's set up in a group for music streaming only. They were easy to set up and link to my network. I bought the Sonos Boost to keep the Sonos devices on a dedicated network so that they don't compete with all my other devices. This setup seems to prevent the network drop issues I used to have with other types of WIFI speakers.
The sound is excellent for their size. I have them paired into L/R channel in 3 connecting rooms so that the sound is even throughout each room. Later, I may add a Sonos Sub to get better lows. But, for now, these Sonos One's wok very well.

We've purchased a handful of these speakers and the sounds is very good for the size of the speaker. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the richness of the music.
Alexa configuration and setup is a bit finicky and frustrating however once done it seems to work fine. Wish the integration with Alexa was a bit tighter as there are limitations of the commands you can perform and it seems a bit gimmicky at times.
You'll need a power outlet. It's the one thing we wish was different but the speaker, although wireless capable, will always need a source to plug power into. Power cables are unsightly which made it difficult to wall mount where we wanted. Keep this in mind if you intend to use them on the wall.
All in all we are very happy with these speakers.

I moved just before the lockdown and had no audio equipment. I did a lot of research on what to get and chose the Sonos-One (Gen 2) speaker. I love it! So essential to have music being that I’ve been alone in my apartment since the lockdown. I am 59 and definitely not tech savvy, but had no trouble setting this up. Currently, I am using Pandora for free streaming music, but I am excited about the many options out there. I am by no means an audiophile, but to me the sound quality is wonderful — clear, crisp, punchy, with adequate bass. Easily loud enough for my apartment. The voice control is also nice, so I can turn it off easily when I get a phone call. Highly recommend this!

These speakers work great and sound really nice. The only thing I wish they had was the ability to play anything from your phone or tablet. They have to play one of the programs that you can set up on them. They are easy to set up and have a lot of adjustments. They are very easy to pair with other sonos speakers.

I purchased these as rear surround for my PlayBase 5.1 setup. I was blown away by how easy the setup was and how good these sound.
It is addicting now because I want more for every room! I love the fact that you can add more and more to build out an entire home sound system!
If I had to think of any Cons to this product, it would be that it does not support either Bluetooth or a physical connection via Aux cord. My reasoning is that if the WiFi were to go down for some period of time, the speakers become useless paperweights until the WiFi is back up.
Overall I would highly recommend if your home network can sustain a consistently stable network. I also recommend hard wiring one Sonos product for the best network results.
