Everything about this TV is amazing. The picture is incredible and we have it in a room with a lot of natural light. The arc hookup made set up very easy. The settings menu makes it very easy to change picture and sound while watching so you can easily tell what you want very quickly. The OLED is worth the price difference!

This TV rocks! I replaced a 43” cheap TV with this and I couldn’t see myself going back. Also glad I didn’t spring for the 65” as I wouldn’t have been able to fit the box in my car :) Video quality is great and blacks are great as they actually are black and not some shade of dark grey like most non-OLED TVs. Inputs are plentiful and it supports ARC for my devices. Sound bar just works and even my PS4 is controllable via the remote! I mean it is Sony, but it is a nice touch! Movies look so well on it and are a pleasure to enjoy. I’ll admit, the motion of movies seems way off at first, but I did eventually get used to the odd unnatural movement movies seemed to have. There are some forums that point out how to mitigate this but I never really changed anything. It grew on me so I just got used to it. Definitely recommend if your willing to foot the bill. It isn’t cheap, but well worth it from my experience.

I tested at my home 65Z9F, 75Z9F, A8G and LG B9, A8H. I am watching 80% time cable TV and sports, sometimes Netflix. 4k movies are looking amazing on all of them but upscaling on A8H and A8G is on different level then other TVs. Both are amazing TVs but A8H a little bit more popping up then A8G. Sound is fine. Remote controller better then A8G. Love this TV

Admittedly a bit of an idiot when it comes to this stuff but 3 of my last 4 TVs have been from the magnolia collection. Had to buy this tv to replace the one that wasn’t (a Vizio that didn’t last 4 years). Setup was a breeze. The picture didn’t require much calibration; it was ready to go out of the box. The picture quality is also unmatched The sound in this tv is pretty exceptional. Certainly not home theater quality but impressive. Have also not observed any lip sync issues

Got this TV for a great deal with $1k off the price and it was an upgrade from my 7 year old samsung 1080p hdtv. Watching 4k movies and playing my PS5 looks beautiful. Setting up the TV was very user friendly with how package was designed to help you assemble with using the box it came in to put the legs in place. You would still need a 2nd person to hold 1 end of the tv in place to place the other leg in. Assembly time was about 25 mins putting it on my entertainment system and hooked up all cables. Powering on the TV for the 1st time you get presented with visual demo which was actually pretty awesome. Going through the tv set up and update was pretty easy which took about 10 mins. Overall time to get it up and running was a out 35 mins. Sound on the tv is actually not bad and ran with it til i found a 5.1.2 set up. Worth the price and will be enjoying this tv for years.

I purchased an A8H a few weeks ago … really happy with the picture quality, even during an afternoon of football watching in a bright room. Replaced a Sony 810C 4k from 2015 and the TVs have no comparison. Also the stability (so far) of the newer Android platform has been great (after suffering with the old 2015 version). One issue that I noticed was that the audio seemed to “stutter” randomly when streaming using the built-in Android apps, skipping just a bit. … Picture is fine, just audio using eARC to a Sony DN1070 receiver on a high-speed HDMI cable. … Running Roku Ultra thru the TV to the receiver set to eARC works fine. After searching the web to find a solution I stumbled across a recommendation to turn the RS232 control to OFF as it defaults to HDMI under the Remote & Accessories settings. That seems to have fixed the issue for Vudu, Netflix and Amazon … still a random skip on Pandora but very seldom. I noticed my old 2015 Sony has this set to OFF by default, but not the A8H. So hope that helps someone else who’s frustrated with the issue as this is a great TV. Even my wife can tell the difference :)

This Sony oled is incredible. It uses the new 2020 oled panel from lg, with 120hz black frame insertion (to mimic plasma and crt fade to black motion) which you can enable under the clearness setting under motion. This is a first for oled, and it makes motion look incredibly smooth. In addition the new panel allows for better near black handling and uniformity. The input lag is as low as on any Sony to date, as low as the 950g, so its fantastic for gaming, esp. with black frame insertion on. The colors are highly accurate with any content as well. Upscaling and motion processing are best in class. The only con is that brightness can’t quite hit the levels of the best lcds, but in every other way the A8h floors the competition. Burn in is extremely unlikely in 2020 when watching varied content. If you’ve been on the fence with oled, now is the best possible time to jump in.

What a Gem! When I was shopping for this OLED beauty, I said I wasn't going to buy it unless I saw a difference in side-side-side comparison with a regular 4K LED set. I certainly could at the Magnolia display. I have been waiting TWO + years for this Sony, and finally purchased it during the last sale. Worth the cost and worth the wait. Blacks are completely black, no banding, and everything is crystal clear. Watching sports on this compared to my old HD is a complete new world-- Puts you right in the stadium! Absolutely no pixilation and smooth as silk. The 30W sound out of the box is terrific, but may purchase a sound bar down the road. Glad I didn't settle for less. OLED: Accept no substitutes! A great product, Sony!

Last summer I remolded my home and needed a television to add to my exercise room. Being on the treadmill listening to music got me only so far. Then I used my iPhone to try to watch a show and later bought an iPad. I finally took the plunge and bought this TV at the recommendation of a Best Buy representative. I already have two LG OLED TVs in my home but never had a Sony OLED. What I like about this is I can watch shows from my iPhone onto my TV using Xfinity Stream app. I like to watch certain shows on an east coast feed and this TV allows that while the LG OLED model does not. The sound is very good too and of course the OLED display is awesome.

I’ve only had the TV set up for a few hours, but I can already tell this TV is amazing. I upgraded from a 52” LCD Sharp, which was a very good tv when it was new. It now feels like I’ve been watching in black and white and now have color. Set up was easy, although would have been easier with a 2nd person to help. The factory stands were a little too wide for my cabinet (39 1/2 x 12), so I got a VESA compatible stand with a smaller footprint with the added benefit of having a 60 degree swivel, so can adjust tv for best viewing angle for where everyone is sitting. I don’t have a PS5 yet, but the new picture quality of my PS4 will hold me over until they’re finally in stock again.

Had a Vizio 50 inch that just abruptly died on me after roughly 4 years of general use. Needed something a bit richer with colors and deeper blacks for movie nights. Solid purchase in my opinion. This would be my 2nd Bravia and so far this one seems to run faster and smoother than the last one. I like the speaker in the screen as well - helps the sound come through clearer versus it bouncing off the back wall when watching a show. Looking forward to football season on this thing... Hope the review helps

I want to say that this is my first oled, was afraid of burn-in. I said forget it and I am happy that I did. This is by far the best tv I have owned and I have had no issues. I got the 55inch A8h when best buy had amazing sale 1299. I could not pass that up and even my wife had to admit the picture is amazing. I wish I would have got the 65inch but the 55inch was bought for a specific place. I am sold on oled and if you are nervous get extra warranty like I did. The interface Android is quick no complaints. If you want this tv get it and you will not regret it. Everything on this tv looks good from 4k to regular cable. Great job Sony.

Great picture as expected from an OLED. Easy setup. I didn’t think I’d like the Google interface but it’s clean and using play store for smart TV apps is admittedly better than on my Samsung smart TVs. I haven’t used much for gaming but it’s got incredible picture with 4K player and movies. For the sales price I purchased it at I couldn’t ask for more from a TV As a bonus the TV came with screws inserted into wall mount ports making install a breeze.

I have been on the fence about purchasing this television for a very long time. So glad I finally decided to take a leap and make the investment. The picture quality is SUPERB! Even when watching movies and television shows that are low to little light. To examine low light and dark levels, I re-watched GOT, season 8, episode 3 (The Long Night). A huge difference from when I originally watched this episode. This television is very east to set up and integrates very well with cable box and Apple TV. If I had one gripe, it would be the remote control, which is kind of flimsy and not back lit.

This Tv has excellent picture and I will never go back to LCD TV's. I originally had a TCL tv that this replaced due to the TCL becoming discolored and have dark scenes look green. No such issues with this tv! All the Blacks look amazing and actually makes me feel immersed. Before this the most expensive tv i bought was about $500 so paying double that made me have buyers remorse until i set it up and realized that you are paying for top quality picture way better than anything i have ever had before. I definitely recommend this tv.

Replace an old Panasonic plasma in my living room. AND OH MY, OLED IS absolutely so much better. The picture on the A8H is so good. The color is vivid. The blacks are great. I do not have the words on just how great the picture is. Also the sound is very good for tv speakers. The build quality is excellent. I have a Samsung Q80T in my basement and OLED absolutely is better than QLED - NOT EVEN CLOSE. Absolutely THE SONY A8H is a great by if your looking at OLED Tv.

A solid OLED. Physical design is very slim and low profile. Adjusting the stand to accommodate a sound bar requires a single Phillips screwdriver. Directions are straightforward. Illustrations are accurate for assembly. Android (Google) TV is quick, response. Sony provides a wealth of customization options for picture settings, etc. For enthusiasts, be aware while this TV is supports Calman AutoCal, unlike LG, there is no internal signal generator. This display requires an external signal pattern generator for use with AutoCal. Out of the box picture quality is one of the best. If you can find this TV on a deal of the day or for less than the current A80 or A90J, it’s an excellent value for price. The largest difference between this TV and newer models is lack of Sony’s XR processor or “cognitive” AI functions on the current 2021 models.

This Tv is Beautiful! Im experiencing the world of media streaming in brilliant colors and the god like blacks. The UI this tv uses only adds to the love i have for it, since user interface is so bare bone minimalistic it comes off as sleek and doesn’t ruin the viewing experience. This TV was crafted with the viewer in mind and you could really feel that. Which doesn’t surprise me since the price is so high. This TV is worth its weight in gold. What does surprise me is this is the entry level premium Sony OLED TV. So this as cheap as it going to get. But once you are in, you are in.

Upgraded from a roughly ten year old Sony Bravia 1080 to this Sony A8H OLED. This thing is amazing...especially when viewing 4K content through Amazon Prime and Netflix. Recently purchased a Sony 4K ultra HD Blu-ray as well. (Never owned a Blu-ray before.) Can't wait to check out some 4K Blu-rays. I thought it would be years before pulling the trigger on an OLED (hoping the prices would come down). But I got a great deal on this TV and it's worth every last penny I paid for it. If you're on the fence about the A8H, don't be. Put this thing in your cart and buy it.
