Is OLED worth the extra price?

The overall light level is on the dark side since the window has Plantation shutters in a walnut finish. Having set the stage, I have to say, the picture on this TV is spectacular. The blacks are very black and the overall sharpness of the picture is amazing. Since there is no competition with strong light from large windows, I can't address that issue but in a room with moderate or lower light levels, the picture and the saturation of the black areas is the best I've ever seen. The OLED is well worth it.

Oled A80k Tv experience

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This Oled tv from Sony, is a overly all decent tv, with great colors, great viewing angels, simple enough operating menu, but would prefer Samsung or Lg but still not too complex to navigate through apps. I believe this is a good choice for viewing movies for the realistic details, the smart motion feature is pretty decent for it as well. I have only two problems with this tv and that is the brightness, as this tv does not seem to get any brighter, especially when you are playing hdr games. And last is playing this with a gaming PC with high frame rate as it tends to suffer from screen tearing and connection issues.

The Sony - 55" Class BRAVIA XR A80K OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV compliments my Mac edit suit. The colors are still true to Sony, and a fantastic acoustic from a TV, it can only be a Sony.

I've very happy with the decision. the Picture quality is amazing, the low-profile wall mount is sleek and easy to attach. OLED gives you deep blacks and great color accuracy, some reviews stated it's hard to see the picture in high natural/regular lighted areas. I can't say I have that problem but make sure you take that into account when going with OLED.

As all of the professionals suggest, I am using it in a dark room (my bedroom) which has the shades closed and is devoid of natural light most of the time. The deepness and richness of the colors are absolutely stunning. Everything about this TV is just gorgeous. I've been on the fence for a while now about which model to get and am so glad that I landed on this one. Pairs awesome with the Hue Sync and Hue Gradient lights and Sonos Beam/Sonos Sub sound system.

The video quality presets aren’t terrible but after some tweaking it becomes amazing. Even cartoons look better, but the major blockbusters out now like Rings of Power, House of the Dragon, and Avatar are just phenomenal on this screen. 4/5 stars because every now and then the TV stutters a little, it’s closed out a few apps and returned to the home screen after freezing up a bit. Very infrequent, so far no real problems, but a bit disappointing considering that this is supposed to be one of the best tv’s on the market, particularly for this price bracket.

It’s amazing where tech is heading and it’s just getting so good. Havnt had a single issue with the TV since I bought it. Could’ve gone with some cheaper options but I’m so pleased I got this one. OLED ROCKS

The blacks are true black and detail is crisp. Its not too dark even with our lighting with windows. Glare really isnt an issue like i thought it would be with OLED. 10/10

Being an OLED means it has really good contrast, and the response times are low. Input lag is also good, and gets even better for games that support 120hz. I use a soundbar so won't comment on sound quality.

Great TV with Google Lag

The Home Screen is laggy when you first load it, really annoying. It’s the Android system, I tried to fix it button no luck. Once you get to the app it’s fine, but all the delay in the apps isn’t fun.
