If you are looking for a WiFi TV this is not it

Biggest issue with this TV has been when streaming, especially sporting events. When watching a movie or something that is not LIVE we had little issues, occasional sound issues and once or twice TV turned off by itself. However, if you are watching a sporting event the TV freezes and needs to be unplugged to get it to work again. Have called Sony CS and after their “review” of watching 10 second videos they claim that the issue is my 400 mbps internet and that I need to run a ethernet cord to make it work properly. I did have a Roku Stick connected and ran the same apps with no freezing issues on the Roku, more likely a WiFi chip issue with Sony but they refuse to provide service on the TV because it is “not necessary” according to their IT review department that looks at videos you need to send it. Read Sony reviews, CS is the worst and even if items are under warranty they blame customers for faulty equipment.

To better determine the best course of action for your case, we’d appreciate more details about your previous call with customer service.
In the meantime, if you haven’t already, we recommend performing a Factory Data Reset on your TV. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues by restoring the TV to its default settings. Please note that this will erase all customer settings, including Google account information, installed apps, and WiFi settings. You can sync some app data with your Google account to recover certain information afterward.
Follow the steps below depending on your TV menu:
Press HOME → navigate to Settings → Device Preferences or Accounts and Sign-in → Google → Choose Synced Apps → Select items to sync → Sync now
Press HOME → navigate to Settings → Google → Choose Synced Apps in Sync → Select items to sync → Sync now
Press HOME → navigate to Settings → Personal → Google → Choose Synced Apps in Sync → Select items to sync → Sync now

Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT PURCHASE As an avid Sony Consumer (multiple Sony TVs, every PlayStation console produced, Sony receiver, etc) I was excited to purchase this new TV. Less than 6 months after purchase dark clouds started appearing on my screen that have worsened over time. Sony claims this TV is working as intended to specification. They now claim multiple engineers have reviewed the pictures submitted and that what I’m seeing is not covered under warranty (TV is 9mo old now.) After multiple calls with Sony they said the best they could do is 15% off my next Sony product with no guarantee the same thing wouldn’t happen again. When asked what their engineers said I could do to stop the continued degradation they said they didn’t have an answer for me. Very disappointing that Sony will not stand behind their product.
