This new system sucks, can NOT load your favorite APPS, buyer beware

This Tv has a great picture, but I was very surprised and dissapointed to find out that you cannot download any additional apps. It comes with 12 preloaded apps and half of them are junk. Hard to believe a model 2017 TV is lacking this feature. I would recommend this TV for the picture quality, but you have to decide if the apps that are installed are enough .

The sony 55" is wall to wall color. Vivid, in focus and sharp. Sound is okay to. The thin size makes it fit just about anywhere. Could not believe how light it is. Took only a few minutes to hook up and start enjoying.

This is a very good TV. Picture quality is excellent. Even though we paired it with a sound bar, the internal speakers are good even when sound bar is not engaged. It was easy to attach to a mounting bracket. One great feature of the remote is there is a specific button for YouTube and Netflix. I recommend this TV.

I love Sony products. Always my preferred television because of the comparability with other Sony products. Everything syncs up. This 4k is a dramatic difference from HD! Smart set up and apps are extremely user friendly! The pic is amazing and the sound quality does not disappoint! Excellent purchase!

We purchased this tv as an open box item with gift cards and reward dollars that were expiring soon, so we didn't do much research or overthink the purchase. We knew the basics that we wanted, had a budget, and the manager of the night was extremely helpful and helped us make a great purchase! Even as an open box the item was brand new and looked as if it had never been put together or used. Set up was very easy. The footstand is flimsy by itself, but once applied it is super sturdy. Set up with our cable was very easy. We followed the prompts and had no trouble. The remote could use a redesign as the Select button is small for larger hands. Otherwise, no issues. The hubby is happy and we didn't break the bank. Would definitely recommend.

I recently purchased this tv as I felt it was finally time to upgrade to 4K having recently purchased a PS4 Pro and owning a gaming PC. The TV is nicely designed and the stand that it comes with looks great. The interface is pretty good and has a fast response time, certainly a big improvement over my old 43 Vizio D series. However one thing to be aware of is that if you are a hulu live TV subscriber then as far as I can see the smart function of this tv will not allow you to use that service. To expand on this further there is no problem viewing normal Hulu however during the World Cup I was forced to use my PC as a primary player for the games I watched through Hulu live tv until I upgraded to a fire stick. For my PS4 and gaming PC I think the TV does a great job and for the price I am really happy, obviously compared with the technology that is available for $1200-3000 this tv does not hold up, but for anyone looking for a moderately priced 4K TV with a nice design and good picture this is a sound choice.

Love this tv. A little frustrated by some of the user friendliness; there are options to set screensavers; even with following the directions to a T, I still only get the “sample” demo mode pictures. Other than that small frustration, the picture quality is crystal clear, the design is thin, very easy to assemble (base / cables / WiFi) and the sound quality is awesome too. No need for a sound bar. Love it so much, I might buy another to put in my bedroom. Highly recommend the 55” or greater.

Initially, I was looking for a 43" TV.....and compared the Sony 43" to other brands. Overall, I kept coming back to the SONY, due to the color saturation/contrast and overall clear picture. It had such vivid colors & contrast. While researching further, I found out this same 43" TV was made in a couple larger sizes for less than $100 more. I chose the 55" and it does not disappoint! The crispness and details you see in the Sony brand by far surpass the other brands in this class. I would definitely recommend this TV.

We bought this TV as an early Christmas present to ourselves and it is a wonderful TV. Picture quality is great, sound is very good. the size works well for our living room.

I totally love my upgrade on tv. I went for almost 10 years with a SONY BRAVIA 42inch regular definition. TV is still working but It was time to upgrade to HD and even better 4K. I love this SONY 55inch TV. Put it together on my own and I am not a computer or tech geek. Picture quality so far after a week has met my expectations. I have yet to try something on 4K. so with HD and normal definition of 1080resolution on this tv I am speechless. Picture, tones and colors are amazing. I have been using PS3 for NETFLIX AND HULU and a Sony Blu Ray normal player. Nothing fancy or HD/4K on these and I have to say that I totally love the image. SONY has always been a leader on electronics and I would pay a bit more for something that I know will last and won't disappoint me and this totally exceeded my expectations so far. I will continue playing with it and try to find more higher resolutions movies and find 4K movies to see how much better those would be. But I know that I will not be disappointed. I paired this TV with a SONY Sound bar of 300Watts and surround sound with this bar is beyond amazing. I don't want to leave my bed (TV is in the comfort of my bedroom). TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS TV AND IF YOU HAVE TIPS FOR ME I WILL TOTALLY APPRECIATE IT. I want to try to add on SLING TV service to see more movies and shows.

***** Picture, After several consideration I decided on another SONY Brand, I bleed SONY, however DID NOT expect in 2017 to have a TV with NO option to add my APPs of my choice. Me being overseas APPS are important, not the pre-loaded garbage others paid Sony for it. I would Fly back to New York and pay the extra $150.00 air transportation fee just to return this TV to the Best Buy store, I have older Sony models with ALL my APPS of MY CHOICE... GREAT PICTURE NO FLAWS, RECONSIDER IF APPS IS SOMETHING OF IMPORTANCE TO YOU.... :)

I've had the TV for a couple of weeks. Beautiful picture, easy set up. The sound could be a little stronger, will probably get a sound bar a little later. Overall, a good purchase,

After doing extensive research, I purchased the 55" Sony x720e. This television met my expectations and exceeded them tenfold. First and foremost, the picture quality is absolutely stunning. The black levels are not that as an OLED, but are amazing for the price point. Color accuracy is on point and true 4K HDR content is absolutely breathtaking. Additionally, the motion is natural and extremely lifelike. I am still amazed seeing how natural fast moving videos flow flawlessly in a lifelike manor. Lastly, the smart platform on this television is top-notch. I have it hard-wired to my AC1900 router and the integrated Opera TV software keeps up with my operation pace. In conclusion, amazing picture and motion quality, 0% smart platform lag, and amazing input upcoversion make this an attractive and smart choice for a budget smart 4K HDR television. This set will leave you grinning from ear to ear. Worth every penny.

Dark rich colors.... best TV I have ever owned. It was a little too sharp at first, but plenty of ways to adjust. Streaming and DVD’s look much better than before as well. Highly reccomend this TV.

As a faithful Sony consumer, I am still impressed by the quality of their products especially my Sony 4K TV! The images are crystal clear...can you believe you can see the sweat on a sports player in complete clarity!! That's impressive! I definitely recommend you get a new Sony 4K TV ....I got 3 for my new home!
