I haven't bought a large TV in around 15 years. I have two Sony Bravias that have been working great all this time. However 4K TV prices have come down a lot over the past year as OLED TVs because the trendy technology so I thought it's time to get a new TV. I love my new Ultra HD Bravia! Picture quality with Netflix and YouTube that projects in 4K is stunning. Regular TV looks much better as well ! I love the functionality of having Android TV. Smart TVs creep me out but this one I'm happy with. It might be 15 years before I buy my next TV. I highly recommend this 900 series

I've had this television for about a week and can't find negative thing to say about it. This is my second Sony and I will never buy any other brand. Everything from taking it out of the box to setting it up was a breeze. The picture is unbelievably clear and the colors are amazing. Before purchasing this television I read the reviews and noticed complaints about the remote and the speakers. To much of my surprise, I think the remote is perfectly fine and so are the speakers which I was prepared to buy a sound bar but don't see a need to at the time.

When you buy a 4K tv only thing you have to look for is the picture quality and it’s ability to process the 2K content. This the TV that can do it better than any tv at this price point ! So go for it without any doubt you won’t regret

I chose this TV cause I've been wanting to get a 4k tv for a while now (HDR included). My 42 inch 1080p Samsung gave out on me just a little after a year (got those dang vertical lines) and needless to say I was extremely disappointed. Since then, I was using an extra tv my brother had, a 32 inch Vizio and I must say, that TV wasn't too bad, especially with sound quality. Once I saved up enough money I knew I wanted to get a 4k tv. Being that Sony is considered one of the best brands I decided to dish out the extra money for this TV over other brands I was looking at (Samsung, Vizio, etc). The assembly is very easy, once you read the instructions you can figure it out no problem. The TV slides right into the TV Stand with no problem ( I did this all myself so it was a little bit of a struggle to lift it and get it on their but I managed, I don't recommend you do this alone!). I was a little surprised with the TV Stand as it seems a bit flimsy and doesn't seem too reliable but it seems to be holding pretty well so far. I would just suggest not bumping into this TV. The picture is absolutely amazing, I immediately noticed a difference in watching my TV shows on satellite TV and even though I only have the standard edition of Netflix I still noticed an improvement. My ps4 works just fine on it too and once it suggestsed I turn my HDR on for my games I was immediately happy with the results! I haven't experienced any lag or anything else peculiar so I would say this is a safe bet for game consoles. Onto the sound of this TV. To be honest I thought I wouldn't even need to buy a sound bar for this. After reading the description of this TV it makes it sound like it has the best built in speakers but once you play games and watch TV on it you feel like you still need more out of it. I got it on volume 70 while watching Netflix and I still feel the need to turn it up more. The 32 inch Vizio I mentioned earlier seemed to have way better sound quality then this 55 inch "beast". Overall I will say I'm satisfied. The picture Is absolutely amazing and for the price with HDR I would say it's worth it. Just don't expect too much on the sound quality, if you want a truly great home theater experience save up for a sound bar too.

The picture on this television is fantastic right out of the box. Sony's calibration is spot on. The features are great. Wifi works wonderfully, setup is fairly easy and works seamlessly with Sony soundbars and wireless speakers to create awesome and easy surround sound. The remote and android interface is very simple but at the same time has many features and menus for the user to fine tune. This is one reason why Sony is much better than many other manufacturers. This one is a home run!!!

Very easy to set-up and use. We had it mounted on the wall (already existing mount) and working in about 30 minutes. Great packaging and easy to open. Easy to mount with holes and screws. Start up was quick. The remote takes some figuring out. It's not intuitive and there aren't any instructions on how to use the buttons. But, I figured it out after playing with it for about 1 hour. There are lots of settings. We are still working with them. We have only had it up 4-5 days now.

This tv is all screen- 55", with viewable area 54.6". Barely a 1/4" bezel around entire perimeter. Dynamic HDR gives it real nice contrast, deep blacks and bright white. 120hz refresh rates keeps things moving without blur. Bought this to pair with Xbox One X. Games and UDH movies look amazing on this screen. Smart tv enabled, setup through Google is easy. Built-in wifi, it took about 45min for it to download and install current update. But then past that its smooth sailing.

I consulted with a good gaming friend of mine before purchasing a TV for my PS4 Pro. This was the TV he recommended and I am blown away by its abilities. In all honesty though the only confusion I had with it was finding the options in the settings to turn on enhanced HDMI so the HDR function would work on my PS4 Pro. After a quick search on YouTube I found the solution and things work fine but the book that comes with the TV could have been a little bit more informative.

I researched a lot before buying this tv. I don't think you can do better, and I have no regrets for getting it. The display is absolutely breath-taking. It does an excellent job upscaling my carrier's HD content to near 4K quality; and it does a good job dealing with the content I watch that remains as SD. I have streamed YouTube videos in 4k, and it does a fantastic job. It really shines when playing 4K UHD movies using the Sony player I also purchased. I have the TV in a modest apartment living room that is open to a large kitchen. I find the speakers on the tv do a very good job in both quality of sound and loudness. The quality of the sound shows improvement after just a week of heavy use, as do most speakers. The sound is full-bodied, and not a bit tinny. I have a pair of Sennheiser wireless headphones (radio type) I use in the early morning so as not to disturb the neighbors - they do an excellent job. I also have a pair of Sennheiser headphones (Bluetooth) that also work well, but not as well as the radio style. This tv is the whole package, and I very strongly recommend it.

When my ten-year old Samsung TV began getting vertical lines coming up from the bottom of the screen, I decided it was time to start researching new TVs. I was very happy with my Samsung so figured I would stick with their products. After reading some reviews and looking at TVs at Best Buy, I was down to deciding between 2 TVs, the Samsung (MU8000FXZA) - 55" Class (54.6" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range and the Sony (XBR55X900E) - 55" Class (54.6" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range. They both looked fantastic at the store. I initially went with the Samsung because I had good luck with my first one and the picture had just a touch more intense color that made it stand out a bit. When I got the Samsung home and up and going, I was not happy. The color was just too intense and bright. I watched some u.tube videos and adjusted the settings (calibration) which made a definite improvement, but still not what I felt I could live with. I had to readjust when I changed channels because the faces would either look sunburned or a tinge green. I hate to return things, but decided I had to. I exchanged it for the Sony. It was a little more difficult to set up, but really not bad. We had already programmed our Harmony remote for the Samsung so had to change some settings for the Sony, but really not that big a deal. Now for the good news... I LOVE THE SONY TV. It looked great right out of the box. I made a few slight adjustments, but didn't really need to. It is amazing! I did have to pay about $100 more for the Sony, but it is well worth it. I don't think you could go wrong with this TV. I am very happy with it.

I researched this tv and also went to Best Buy a few times to actually look at the tv. After waiting for the black Friday deals I purchased it for $1ooo (900e 55 inch). The set up was easy and the picture quality is great so far.We have four other Sony tvs and they all work great. The only issue that I have found so far is that sometimes when watching a recorded program I get a slight delay with the direct tv remote in the fast forward and it goes past the last commericial and a few seconds into the program causing me to rewind. (Ihave a DirectTv mini genie and not sure if this is the problem). As I said earlier so far so good and the price was right. I would recommend this tv.

Great picture but the picture tracks with fast moving motions due to slow refresh rate. Good deal on sale for $999. Remote for my previous 55” was better then the one that came with this tv.

First off, great TV, h ad to calibrate the picture for games and live TV but found a few good ones out there. Made the picture even better. I got the 55 inch version, really nice for a midsize room, I really wanted the 65 inch but the increase in cost was out of my budget. Worth it for gaming, love the TV...I was going to try it out then return it, but after a week there was no going back. Awesome for the price.

Great picture, good price and as usual Sony quality. Easy to set up, and easy to use apps, etc. Sound is much better than our old 40 inch Sony LED which was 10 years old. So we stepped up in size, technology, picture and sound quality. Very happy with our purchase.

I've owned the Sony XBR55X900E for about a month now, and have nothing but excellent things to say about it. Admittedly, I use it as a display only, without any use of the smart features or built-in speakers. Though, speaking only on the the picture quality - it's absolutely superb, especially at this price range. 4K and HDR content look simply AMAZING on this TV, and you'd be hard-pressed to find better picture quality outside of an OLED, which puts you far above the price range of the SONY. Gaming is excellent, with minimum lag, assuming that you stay far, FAR away from the "Standard" picture mode when gaming. That mode is a large amount of post-processing that will add an egregious amount of input lag. However, using the Game or PC modes provides no perceptible lag at all to me. Overall, a truly fantastic TV, and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

The Sony 900E is replacing a fairly high end Samsung which was also a great performing TV and set a high bar with me. But after a lot of favorable internet research and a nice price drop, I took the plunge. The picture quality, especially in 4K HDR is awesome and makes me appreciate my purchase everyday. The knowledgable Daytona Beach BB sales rep, Frank was also instrumental in my buy decision

I just recently bought this TV and I love it. I did a lot of research on TVs and decided this was the best for our requirements. The picture quality is amazing. The sound is good even without a sound bar. The TV was very easy to set up. I wanted to get an OLED TV but the price is still too steep. I highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a great quality system at a good price.

The picture quality is top-notch. Colors pop, blacks are very black, and the settings allow a wide variety of adjustment to make the picture perfect. The only downsides to the TV is the UI, which is kinda lousy and is used more as an opportunity to sell you services. And the remote is very dated. But you buy a TV for the image quality, and this TV can't be beat for the price.
