Amazing picture, very easy to set up as a regular TV. I haven't gotten to the "smart "part yet- I'll wait for my son to show me. Also, I feel it needs better speakers, so I will consider getting a sound bar and a better cable.

My last TV was a 52" 1080P and was doing the job but using the PS4 for Netflix and DVD player for attaching an external HDD was getting annoying. Plus we have a chrome cast. This tv has all of that built in so there was no need to waste HDMI connections nor use another remote.
Also, it works with our Echo with limited functionality but still great. You can turn it on/off, vol up/down and change input. If it could start Netflix and choose movies, that would be awesome.
Video quality is really good and you have to upgrade Netflix to HDR 4K for higher quality streams. Only issue is not a lot of shows are HDR or 4K, so you are stuck watching the majority of movies only in HD. Most of the 4K shows are Netflix originals and a lot are comedy specials, which is not what I care to watch in HDR anyway!
Attaching a HDD works but it only supports MP4, booooo! Why not avi as well?
Sound is decent but I prefer to use my home theater system. It's still 5.1 but works great still, especially when the kids play video games or we watch movies.
Apart from these small gripes, I do love this tv and the price for all the features and picture quality is definitely worth it.

Had some concern over the screen type used in this model, relative to off angle viewing; but it was not borne out. Picture quality excellent and up scaling of resolution is very good. Only "artifacting " noticed was on an old Perry Mason Black & White rerun where Paul Drake had on a Hounds tooth checkered sport coat! The over scan and upscale produced a minor brilliance effect when he moved. Biggest complaints are the need for a mini phono to rca phono "Y" cable to feed audio into the old Kenwood Surround sound amp and Bose Speakers. (Skip the sound bars please, no match for Bose 901 speakers!), the new video processors 2-3 second lag in switching channels vs. old sets 1/4 second and the Picture in Picture feature limiting you to viewing the menu only vs watching two pictures.

This tv wasn't even a thought when I went into the store that day. But after looking at the picture and the features available on this super screen combined with the ultimate pricing it was a win win situation. A must buy

Pros: Excellent picture. This is our first 4K TV, and we did a few years of research before picking one out. The picture is significantly better than the Vizio that hit a similar price point, and the "smart' capabilities are very handy. It also is an excellent TV for gaming -- we have a PC connected to it, and there's nothing better than playing nerdy PC games on a 65 inch 4K screen. Heaven.
Cons: I wish there were more apps to connect to via the Google Play store. We had to keep our Apple TV because some of the apps we use (for exercise etc.) aren't available via the Play Store on the tv.

This TV was my second SONY TV purchase from Bestbuy. The first one has such a good picture quality that it was a no brainer for me to stick with SONY for this purchase. I was a Samsung fan previously, but after reviewing the SONY units in person, I am convinced that they are the new leaders. Installing this TV was a breeze. If you are a handyman, then installing this TV on you own should be easy.
The TV picture quality is awesome. It is hard to put that into words. Just see for yourself at the store. After installing it, I did not make a single adjustment to the TV picture quality - it is that good!
I had considered buying the 800 series model for about $300 less, but am glad I went with the 900 series.
Highly recommend this TV.

Great price for a very nice 4K TV. I love Sony Android TV and it's ability to work with Alexa (using the Sony TV skill) and with my iPhone. No complaints here.

I chose this TV over a larger size, same price range. I have historically bought Samsung, but the picture appeared quite a bit better in the store(which it usually does). Still in the "burn in" period. It wow, colors absolutely pop! The preset picture settings are real close, the seamless integration to DirectTv and my sound bar were a pleasant surprise. 1 remote! And it is the TV remote! Great buy!

The picture quality is insane.
The ultra HD 4K, the great refresh rate, and the super saturated colors all make for a fantastic home theatre experience. One of the first videos I tried on the TV was the 4K version of Jungle Book and I couldn't help but be blown away by how crisp and clear the picture is and how deep and rich the black levels are.
This is also a smart TV, but I haven't really used any of the smart features or onboard apps as I use a PS4 and an Apple TV exclusively to stream content.
The only sub-standard thing about this TV is the speakers, no surprise there. Speakers are always an afterthought on many nice LED TVs, and I'm sure it's because the manufacturers try to boost sales of their after market companion sound systems like a home theatre system or a soundbar. I am using mine with a soundbar through optical audio and everything sounds great now.
One thing to watch out for is just because your TV is capable of 4K, it doesn't mean everything will play in 4K. Most streaming services either dont have 4K content or are just starting to post more and more 4K content to their libraries, a la Netflix, so people can take advantage of streaming that content. Then you are also constrained by the device you are streaming with. That device (such as an Apple TV or PS4 or ROKU) must also be capable of streaming 4K content as well, and once you have that perfect marriage of 4K content streaming on a 4K compatible set top box, you're in business.
You could also save yourself the headache and use the onboard apps. The content apps are all powered by Android so it's a similar experience if you own an android device.

I bought 2 of these on Black Friday and saved $400 per TV. The picture is crystal clear and the applications are very easy to access. Just be careful when mounting them to the wall and pay attention to the placement of the bracket on this TV. It's at the bottom. Most Tv's are right in the middle so it could mess with the placement of your wall bracket. My outlets don't show when looking straight on at it but as you get closer you can see the cover. I ended up painting the covers the same as the wall to hide them. Just be careful. Again, the picture is incredible and the refresh rate is perfect for sports.

The 65" TV was easy to unpack and assemble the base if you take your time as you have to handle it very carefully. A minimum of 2 people is required to safely do this, don't try this at home by yourself LoL. My main problem was that the hookups were on the left side and all my components/power sources were on the right. I'll solve this later with a better TV stand set up. Hooking up components is straight forward and easy with instructions that were clear and easy to follow. Once powered up get settled in for the programming and updates after connecting to Wifi. All together I was up and running in about an hour and a half, just be patient. After that I had a little trouble connecting my LG sound bar via Bluetooth but soon had the problem resolved. Another great feature is being able to mirror my Samsung phone and tablet to the TV with ease. Even though this is not one of the upper level TV's it still has amazing picture quality and was a great find while on sale $400 less than the listed price. Sound quality is surprisingly good for the small speakers.
65" eventhough large is not too over bearing even in a small room. You can find larger for less money but what you save in cash you will give up in features. Always compare the TVs you are interested in to find the best deal for you like I did. I would have loved to have gone larger but my current room set up wouldn't handle it. You won't be disappointed with this Sony.

The picture quality on this set is awesome. 4 months prior to buying this I bought a Samsung and I thought I loved that until I bought this. To be fair though they are not the same class t.v.. the Samsung is a 58" 6 series this is a 65" hdr Bravia. Both are 4k but the picture is much better on the Sony but the ease of setup was so much easier on the Sony. If you have an android phone you do nothing. It asks permission to import your settings from your mobile device and away you go. I didn't have to login into Amazon Netflix or Google it was ready to go all of those apps at the push of a button.

Broke after 35 days

Replaced by 3.5 year old sony KDL65W850A with this model. The main board went out in the old TV, and no one would get the replacement main board....not even sony. Picked this TV up and with in 35 days i had green bars and static going across the TV. TV would not turn off or on from the remove to TV. Had to unplug...TV worked for a couple more days then it happened again. When the TV was working it had a great picture, and was very happy. Luckily the rewards program i am under extended my return period to 45 days. I returned the TV and went with the Sony XBR65X900E. Hopefully this one is more reliable!!! See attached picture. If the XBR65X900E goes out in 5 years it will be my last sony TV ever

We were looking for a great TV for family movie nights, and this one delivered. Originally went into Best Buy for another Sony (390), but after talking to the amazing sales staff we found that the processor on this TV was way better for sports and video games. Easy to hook up to our new Sony soundbar, existing BluRay, Xbox one. Love the centered base for sitting on a piece of furniture, too many models have switched to widely spaced feet that require large TV stands. Also, if you have two people that are in fair physical condition it is not too bad to lift. Very light for its size.
