I was looking for a tv that would be good for Online multiplayer. Something with low input lag. This TV covers that. I pre-ordered the Xbox one X and wanted to be ready for the full 4K experience. Aside from that, the picture from this tv is amazing even with a 1080p signal from my regular Xbox One. Funny thing is, I was watching some 4K video through the built in YouTube app in the TV, and it looked awesome. Then, I came to the realization that under the “quality” setting of the app, I was streaming 1080p signal. Switched it to 2160p, and dear god. My jaw dropped. Truly a sight to behold. One other thing, I returned an LG 65SJ8500 due to horrible black levels, and really bad local dimming. This XBR900e has outrageously good black levels. I highly recommend this tv, especially if you play online multiplayer shooter games. My Xbox one games also look even better on this tv and it’s not even 4K. I can only imagine what the ONE X will look like!

Originally we came to the decision to buy a LG TV model 65UH7700. All the reviews looked really good so we decided to go ahead and take the plunge. We got it home and set it up and after a couple days I noticed in low light situations there was quite a bit of flashlighting in the corners. So we turned on Doctor Strange and noticed it so bad that we decided to take the TV back. When researching it looks like you have to keep trying to get a good LG TV with the least amount of flashlighting. That certainly says something about your quality control LG. Best Buy didn't have a replacement LG so we went with a Samsung MU 7000 next. That was a mistake. The picture quality was poor, grainy and pixelated. Using Doctor Strange as our litmus test we noticed washed out blacks and not so vivid colors as the LG and I even spent 1-2 hrs playing around with the settings. Back to Best Buy I went. Lastly I bit the bullet paid a little extra and got the Sony. After spending some time with the Settings, particularly the motion options, we are very satisfied. The picture is clear and crisp. There is absolutely no flashlighting and the colors are very vivid. Just make sure you spend some time with the options and set it up the way you want it. Finally got it all mounted on our wall and it looks incredibly clean. My only issue with the Sony is that the operating system is quite antiquated. There are just too many options and windows you have to navigate to change different settings. Just make it easy to turn on and play a movie! They can really learn something from LG on this point, which came out of the box pretty much ready to go. Also, just being nitpicky, the remote control has just too many buttons and options. LG really got a lot right. This was our first brand-new TV purchase since my inherited first gen plasma and it's nice to be finally updated, although even this new rv has a hard time keeping up with the deep blacks of my plasma. Now all I need is a 4K Blu-ray player and our DirecTV to be upgraded for 4K and I'll be all set. In all honesty, I was originally satisfied with the LG if they could get their flashlighting situation under control. If you just want a great TV without having to worry about quality issues this is the one for you.

I have a 10yr old vizio nothing wrong with it. I wanted a tv that can support HDR 2.2. This TV is the best. I use my Denon to control the inputs I also do 100% streaming through Apple TV 4K. This tv has live football mode which is amazing. It is even better playing the Xbox one x unbelievable picture. And for $1499 the same price for my vizio 10yrs ago. Over all unbelievable picture for my old tv to this one weather I’m streaming or playing video games.

I bought this as an open box item with just a little dust and a scratch and saved 500 bucks, there are a lot of settings and the TV works best with the latest firmware, I do not use smart apps on it so I cannot review them, this tv can get VERY bright and VIVID if you set it that way, after a little tweaking I have it perfect, lost one star due to Samsung Tv's seeming to come factory set the way I like the picture. However this one has much more options picture wise, it still has a 3.5 mm audio out which is a must for anyone using a receiver with no optical port. 4 HDMI instead of the usual 2 or 3. 4k has a brilliant picture when unobstructed by Netflix compression. I am very pleased. If you can modify black levels and color tone brightness contrast in your own it's perfect, if you see it in the store and like the stock picture it will be great too, if you find it lacking in comparison to a similar Samsung don't be fooled this tv can do it and the geek squad I'm sure will calibrate the tv to your liking at a low cost

Replaced a ten year old Samsung LCD & the difference between 1080p and ultra 4K is like the feeling you felt when you went from a tube tv to 1080p! With all the 4K content on Netflix, Amazon prime, & the Apple TV it is the perfect time to upgrade your tv! With the X1 chip & HDR, this guy upconverts regular tv to virtually 4K

After research many professional reviews, I decided to get the Sony XBR65X900E. The unboxing was easy. All I have to say is AWESOME. The black is fantastic. It is so bright at "standard" setting that I have to lower the brightness level. The colors are just GORGEOUS with great accuracy. The audio was adequate but anyone buying 4K TV should consider a soundbar or surround system.

Pros: * Very accessible price point (got mine open box for around $1600) check out black Friday deal coming up! * Amazing picture 4K HDR * Very bright & deep blacks * speakers are above average Cons: * wife thinks it's too bright ( I dim it down when we watch things together) not really a con more of preference that can be adjusted.

I am absolutely in love with this tv. I recently purchased this television to replace an L.G. OLED 55". The picture on this one is crisper, more vivid, and has less grain on lower quality channels and movies. Movements are not distorted or distracting even in high action scenes. I would recommend a sound bar, as the sound quality isn't too sharp, but there is an option to turn up voices when the background noise is louder than the characters, big thumbs up to that! The base is sturdy, and well balanced, so I'm not worried about that accidental bump that could make it topple over.

The picture quality is amazing. I love how smart it is and all the apps. The TV works seamlessly with my existing setup, including Comcast DVR, Blu Ray player, etc. Only issue I have is that the speakers are not too great. I would strongly recommend buying a soundbar at least, if not full surround sound.

Very few complaints with this TV. The picture quality is amazing. Color is pretty accurate. TV is very compact and light. I borderline didn’t need help hanging my 65” by myself. My only complaint would be the huge AC adapter that is needed to plug it in. The adapter is probably 1”x3”x12” and is somewhat of a hassle to conceal. I’d imagine this would’ve been much more of an issue for me if my wall mount didn’t tilt.

I have been a long time fan of Sony and have had good experiences in the past. This television was recommended by the Best Buy sales person as the best value for the features. The television is very intuitive and I am very please with the clarity of the picture. I am glad however that I have the surroundsound system due to the small speakers on the television.

I've never been this satisfied with a tv in a long time. Great Motion Interpolation for soap opera effect. HDR is one of the best and local dimming is as well. There isn't one drawback from this tv especially at 1400$

We've had the television for less than a month but so far, we are pleased with the product. The clarity of the picture is great--appears as though a theater view. The home screen has a lot of apps that we don't use, and it would be nice if we could delete them. And, maybe, there is way to do it and we just haven't figured it out yet.

I watch a lot of movies and broadcast tv. This is a solid 4K tv once you find the right picture settings for you. Can’t beat local dimming on led lcd TVs, but I do wish it had more zones. However, I’m also not willing to shell out twice as much money for more zones, or 6x as much for oled.

I've never seen color on a TV like this one displays. Shades of reds and blues to blacks and whites on a crystal clear display. You can see the scenes shot in the dark. Sound is amazingly clear and distinguishable even with low volume . Hook ups and placing on a wall bracket was fast. The remote is easy to navigate. Everything on this TV is exceptional. So happy we went with the Sony!

The sales staff were excellent on explaining the different TVs. They helped me to decide which one would be best for what I wanted to use it for. This TV has a crystal clear picture and the caption is big enough for us to read. We love the mirror option. It was very easy to set up and hook the rest of my entertainment center to it.
