I have been looking at many tvs to go along with my ps5 .And after looking at the samsung q80t the vizio and lg oleds I decided to go with the x900h . The amount of value you get for the price of the 65” compared to the other tvs cannot be beat !! The setup was the easiest of any tv i have ever purchased .The color and picture out of the box is beautiful ! I did update the software to get the playstation to run at 4k 120 !! (note : you must adjust the input setting under the watching tv in the settings menu to enhanced to get full 120 hdr for the ps5) I tested out Dirt 5 at 4k 120 and it works perfectly ! I hooked up my dolby atmos soundbar and the way the tv processes the sound is unbelievable !! The soundbar sounds much better than it did with the TCL P605 i replaced this with !! Dolby Vision and the other HDR formats are beautiful !! Needless to say I am very happy with this purchase and higly recommend it to anyone espc if you have a ps5 !

This is my first new TV since buying a 1080p plasma in 2011, and I'm blown away. Unlike other LCD/LED TVs I've seen in action, the black levels on the Sony X900H are phenomenal. Right out of the box the color looked excellent, needing only a few minor adjustments. And 4K + HDR is truly amazing if you're as late to the party as I am.
Gaming is one of my main uses for my TV, and the X900H has HDMI 2.1 functionality coming in a firmware update. It's also one of only two Sony TVs labeled "Ready for PlayStation 5" (once that firmware update lands). I currently have a PS4 Pro and a gaming PC connected to it. The PS4 Pro looks great but can't push so many pixels at higher than 30 FPS; my PC on the other hand is sending 1440p to the TV, which is upconverting to 4K cleanly and with no noticeable distortion. I'm getting about 60 FPS in Destiny 2 at 1440p with HDR on, and it's like a completely different game from what I'm used to.
Another big plus for the X900H is the Android TV OS. This is bar-none the best TV OS I've ever used. Sony put 3GB of RAM in here, so the UI is very responsive and all the apps load very quickly. That said, I'm less than impressed with the amount of storage space for apps -- after installing several, I was down to 2 GB of free storage remaining. That should be enough, but it's hard to know what the future holds.
An honorable mention also goes to Sony's motion smoothing. It's the best I've ever seen. It's a lot less "uncanny valley" soap opera effect and a lot more of a natural smoothing effect. It's still not for everybody, but I like it so much I decided to leave it on for a while.
The worst thing about the X900H is that it's only got 30-something local dimming zones. In the 65" size, which I purchased, this is sometimes noticeable when you have a completely black screen with one small bright image on it (like an animated icon on a game loading screen) -- in that case you will sometimes see a rectangle of light bloom behind the icon. This becomes much more noticeable if you're not directly in front of the TV, so be warned. That said, it's amazing what Sony's processing is doing with this few zones. To minimize the bloom, set the Local Dimming mode on "High".
If you decide to pick one of these up, check for dirty screen effect (DSE) using one of the many test videos on YouTube. There's kind of a panel lottery involved at this end of the market. Fortunately I lucked out and have no visible banding or shadowing, except for a little vignetting at the corners.
Overall, I'm super happy with my purchase and the price I got for this TV. I hope I'll get many years of enjoyment out of it.

DO NOT buy this TV if 4K/120hz is your priority. Let me start by saying I am a dedicated Best Buy shopper for well over a decade. I waited a long time to write this review, but Sony hasn't given me (or X900H owners, in general) much confidence in their customer support. Sure HDMI 2.1 has had a buggy rollout across the industry, but there has been little to no update from Sony if the blurry 4K 120hz on this TV will ever be fixed. There seems to be some kind of bandwidth limitation either within the SoC or HDMI switcher. Not sure if the long-promised update with VRR/ALLM will ever come, and if it will even fix the issue. For all we know Android 11 may be the solution ... so buyer beware. I attached a photo below demonstrating the difference between the 2020 and 2021 versions of this model (although I would also like to note that the 2021 version does make sacrifice in other areas in order to deliver better 4K/120hz). It just doesn't seem like manufacturers have caught up with the technology.
Aside from some bugs here and there, this TV is the BEST bang for your buck. Paired with a PS5, I'm amazed at the picture quality and detail. I had to tweak the settings a bit to suit my preferences, but I have no regrets about this purchase. The only upgrade to this TV would be to go OLED, but the very minor differences certainly don't warrant paying twice what you would for this set.

Absolutely a great buy specially at the discounted price of $969.99. Bought it strictly to enjoy all the benefits of PS5 next gen gaming. I was very surprised at the picture quality when watching movies specially in Dolby vision! The HDR is adequate, it could be a bit better in comparison to my Samsung 55” qled from 2016 but Sony processes colors in such a beautiful manner I can accept that minor set back. The smart capabilities are great, love being able to download certain apps only available in the google play store. Gaming is awesome! SDR gaming is really good. HDR gaming is acceptable but if you adjust the settings depending on the game you can get it to give you that awesome HDR POP HDR gaming is now known for. For some reason which I need to research, this Sony tv is
making my existent surround sound system sound way better than any other tv I’ve ever had it hooked to!!!! Overall I’m happy with my purchase. A 65” next gen capable Sony at a great price. Is hard to look elsewhere!! Only wish the x950h was next gen ready. I would’ve bought that one.

I pulled the trigger on the x900h (x90h). Some context. I am replacing an 2012 LG 3d 55 inch. Loved that TV, but am getting Xbox Series X ready and wanted 4K HDR for gaming, streaming, and movies. The purchase, price was not really a factor, I was willing to buy the Q90t or CX which were about double the price.
So, out of the box, with only a few minor settings adjustments, I love this TV:
Positives:
- HDR: Disney +, Netflix, and movies on Google Play in Dolby Vision are just simply jaw dropping. The blacks are almost OLEDish, the brightness and color is almost QLEDish. Its really the best of both worlds and produces stunning contrast. I am amazed on how good the picture was for the price I paid ($1169 at Best Buy).
- This TV is bright- I saw on Rtings.com and Digital Trends that it has a peak brightness of around 750 nits and it worried me. But then some owners said it was plenty bright. So what was it? I turned on the opening of Rise of Skywalker in the Sith Temple on Dolby Vision Bright, I wanted to see a dark scene. The contrast looked like the CX. Every time the lightening flashed my wife and turned our heads because the flash was so bright. I turned down the brightness from 50 to 30 in the settings. (included a pic with Dolby Vision Bright on below)
- I saw that some people had issues with banding, I only saw banding on a 720p broadcast of the Indians game. Anything 1080p and 4k that I have watched as not had any banding at all.
- I have an original Xbox One. So I could not test out the HDR gaming. I will say, in 1080p, its is the best looking gaming I have done thus far. Forza Horizons is just gorgeous. Did not notice any lag.
Negatives:
- This is an HDMI 2.1 TV, that, out of the box, is not HDMI 2.1. Sony promises an update to activate the full 2.1 features (VRR, ALLM, 4k at 120hz). As of now, it has not been updated, but I would imagine it will be before the PS5 comes out and you will see the x900h bundled with the PS5 on Black Friday.
- Android TV took a few minutes to get used to. Not really a negative, just wish it had the bottom menu like Tizen interface on the Samsungs instead of taking up the whole screen.
- On the sound front, I have a Samsung q80 sound bar. I have not played around with the TVs sound at all.
Overall: There is so much bang for the buck with this TV. Really eye popping color, super dark blacks, and great contrast. I know it is a "video game" TV spec wise, but I cannot imagine a much better picture for streaming 4K HDR content. If like me, you were torn between higher end models, I say give the x900h (x90h) a shot and save a grand. You will not be disappointed.

Incredible upgrade from my previous Samsung 4k LED (which admittedly had developed about 12 purple/blue patches within 2.5 years of purchase). The build quality on the tv is great and looks sharp either mounted or on a stand. The remote features and functionality are awesome, even though the remote is a bit long. The picture quality is outstanding, great color, contrast, and brightness. Movies in HDR, particularly Dolby Vision, look fantastic. The Android TV interface is fast and seamless and the app store has basically everything you would need. I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and smooth the built in interface/streaming functionality is. I never thought I would ditch the Fire Cube for the built in tv option, but here I am. I particularly went with this model to pair with the XBOX Series X and next gen capabilities (120hz, HDMI 2.1, and future promise of VRR and ALLM). Gaming in full 4k with the tv is incredible, but the VRR and ALLM features are not yet available. Once those features are supported I will head back and update the review to 5 stars. Overall, this is a fantastic all around tv choice for those who enjoy high quality 4k, a great streaming interface, and the future next gen gaming functionality.

This TV is so pretty! I’m super picky about TVs and I’ve wanted a 900 series for awhile. Scored a great deal on mine and couldn’t be much happier. With just slight adjustments to the picture settings, you’ll have a banging picture. Great for gaming too, RDR2 has never looked so good. Only thing I miss coming from an LG was the cool screen that incorporated and could control my smart things for the Tv screen. But the UI on this tv is fast and snappy. Unfortunately it’s an andorid Tv in an all Apple home but, the Sony picture is so mesmerizing that we forget all about it.

I've had this tv for almost 3 months now and I absolutely love it. It's great for movies, TV shows and everything you throw at it. But, where it excells is in gaming, I bought this tv to get the most out of my PS5. Games look amazing, especially if they support HDR. Coming from a small non HDR 1080p tv, I am blown away how much better games look and feel on this tv. This tv supports HDMI 2.1 but for now only 4k 120hz and earc are enabled. A future software update will add VRR and ALLM, which will make gaming even better. I was skeptical to spend so much on a tv, but I don't regret it one bit.

I feel like anyone who has an issue with a TV THIS GOOD does not know how to properly calibrate the image for different types of media and inputs. Once calibrated, the picture on this TV is STUNNING, it just takes a few minutes to tweak. I have attached some sample settings that I use for different apps and inputs.
The TV starts up lightning fast. Hit the power button, it's on in about 1 Second! Android TV interface is easy to use and very customizable. Hide the junk you don't use, install all your favorite streaming apps, and they'll be front and center. Sony has also finally emulated other brands and set the Input key to be customizable to show not only HDMI inputs, but also your favorite apps, without having to leave the app you are currently in. Easy Switching! And again everything is VERY FAST!
For the picture, some have said this TV is not very bright. I can tell you it gets Plenty Bright! Anyone complaining and choosing a brighter TV will need to wear glasses after they damage their eyes. I tend to set the brightness lower, to reduce blowouts in bright scenes. I have the TV in a room with big windows, lots of light coming in, and it looks fine.
Upscaling is outstanding. I know many are buying this for 4K gaming, but still you're gonna use this a lot to watch your favorite shows and sports. I like to calibrate with ESPN (which broadcasts in 1080p with Youtube TV) because it's easy to validate if a TV is good at upscaling the text at the bottom of the screen. A very simple test: the text is one color, the background is a different color, pixel interpolation should be very simple, BUT many TV's just cannot get this right for some reason, and the text does not look sharp. Sony nails it. Couple that with the motion settings I specify, you can watch crystal clear football, basketball, etc. It's really that good!
Also worth noting that out of the box I noticed the picture has a blue/green bias. My settings counter-balance this and restore a proper ratio of reds, blues, and greens.
Only test I have not performed is with a PS5 or XBOX. Reading some complaints that they haven't enabled all of the HDMI 2.1 features yet, but I've also read that next gen games are a while away from being able to take advantage of the new technology, and even then there will be trade-offs between graphics and performance. In other words, the TV is actually more powerful than the PS5 or XBOX. Most do not know that. Someday you may get a 4K game at 120 hz and 60 fps, but graphic enhancements like ray-tracing will have to be disabled. So "next gen" isn't so next gen after all.
In closing, I'm extremely happy I decided to get this TV. I had an old Toshiba LCD for 11 years that has always had a flawless picture. Never thought any of the new LED's could top it, but I have to say this Sony is incredible. Buy it!

I had a 55" Samsung NU8000(the model right under their QLED Line) which is a mid-range budget TV but was rated as one of the best gaming TV's of 2018 with Nvidia G-sync and VRR all on a native 120hz panel. I watched a YouTube video on Black Friday deals for TV's and they mentioned the 65" X900H for $979(Reg price $1399). After watching and reading reviews I felt like I couldn't pass it up and I've been amazed with it so far. This TV installed the update for 120hz(VRR) when setting it up. There's 4 hdmi ports but only hdmi 3(arc) and hdmi 4 are 2.1 so if you plan on using game systems, PC and/or soundbar just remember you're limited to 2. Right now, this is the ONLY LED TV Sony has in it's lineup that has 2.1. The local dimming is above average in my opinion but I've been getting some amazing blacks that are very close to OLED but it's still LCD so there's always going to be some ghosting. My brother's had a Sony and I've had an old Sony Vega TV that still works and everyone I know who's had a Samsung eventually has a problem after 3-5 years so I wanted to stick with a brand that I've never had a problem and Sony has always made quality TVs.

This is what you want to see. Because this is what I have wanted to see. An actual review of a brand new tv which promises FUTURE PROOF for the next GEN OF VIDEO GAMES! PS5 and Xbox One Series X! Frustrated on not seeing reviews come in enough. I upgraded from a 55 900E. And got a 65 900H. And this thing is almost TOO BEAUTIFUL. I played fortnite on it, injustice 2, yakuza kiwami, Kingdom Hearts, and assassins creed oddessy. (That game is 30 frames yuck, but graphics are nice). This tv is super powerful.
No brick in the plug. Great menus and fast OS. Without a doubt I am ready for the new consoles. I think 65 is the perfect size. Little to actually no input lag tested on injustice 2 and the consoles are getting more powerful so will really be none. Its a treat to look at and own.
Want to thank me for the review? Follow me on twitter @TommyInvincible and tell me thank you there lol!
The speakers on the tv, although I use astro a20s, feel like the sound is coming directly at you. It is great
But really great tv. Excited for November. P.s don’t mind my “stand”. I ordered one has not come yet. Like the picture I attached of Kingdom Hearts 3, GO WITH THIS TODAY

Amazing just amazing. Best tv I have. Incredible for games. The only issue I have is I cannot locate the CEC per input setting in the settings menu but it does function exactly how I like so I can't complain. Black levels are very good. Like almost OLED good, no joke. The only complaint I have is 480p video looks better on my other 4k tv but 720p and up looks far superior on this tv. I love the Android tv interface and It's really easy to use tv with a well thought out remote. For gaming on an Xbox One X, this tv is ridiculous. I have never seen so much detail and the brights and darks are crazy good. Playing Warzone at night is unlike playing on any tv I've used before this. It's a new mode and some tv's have issues with the black levels but not this tv. It's incredible.

So I bought this during the labor day sale and success then been enjoying this great tv .
As for the picture quality it's absolutely great and for the menu of settings access is pretty good and easy
I did go through some of the videos available online for setting up the settings for best picture quality but trust me the settings even out of the box are great and you may not really need to do anything.
Now as for Android tv as an os itself this is my first experience and whatever optimization Sony has done with it leaves the user experience smooth.
For Netflix it has a separate calibrated picture mode itself which Netflix and Sony have worked out and tbh I don't find it any different then the Dolby vision bright mode.
The tv also can get pretty loud on its own and am not sure if it requires any sound bar until unless one is a real enthusiast of those perfect sound quality.
Post the November update it has the game mode and supports VRR but I need to buy a console to really great those functionalities.

The Bravia TV has been a great replacement for our older 49" we had. Great picture. lots of apps that have access and easy to set up all of your streaming passwords. One small issue is that the TV has not turned on a few times and we have had to unplug it and plug it back in. Then it is fine. Other than that "small" issue, it was a good buy and has been great so far.

I'm very happy with this television. 65" fits well over my fireplace, and the picture quality is great for the things I use it for (Netflix, Switch games). The sound quality is even pretty good.
I got this on a Black Friday sale, so I'm pleased with the value.
I would recommend this to a friend

Overall is a great TV!
The picture quality it's absolutely great;
It pairs with my PS4 Pro, and the HDMI 2.1 functionality is coming (hopefully I can get a PS5 to enjoy that);
Also, last but not least, I really loved how fluid and smooth the Android TV OS is.
I would recommend this to a friend
