It is extremely responsive, sounds amazing, and the wireless CarPlay connects extremely fast. There is only a slight delay in the music compared to the phone.

The glare on the screen is my only recommendation for improvement. I read previous reviews about the glare, but I did not think the glare would be so bad. Sony states that the unit has an anti-glare screen. If this is the case, the product doesn't work. I would still purchase the radio, because it out preforms the original VW radio. Apple car play is a huge benefit.

Great with minor issues:

It looks neat, clean, and turns on super fast when you start the car. However, there are a few minor draw backs. When programming the steering wheel controls on the stereo, it won’t let me update the answer/decline buttons. The standard setting seemed to let everything else work as it should. So I have to use my decline button to mute the stereo and answer is used for toggling which media to use (i.e. radio, Apple CarPlay, etc.) The other down side is, once a week, the stereo won’t let me connect to my phone. I have to turn it off then on again. Other than that, it is a great machine and I’m glad I upgraded! (I have a 2016 Nissan Sentra SV if that helps anyone).

If you don’t wear polarized sunglasses or sunglasses at all, it will work well for you. However, if you live in a sunny area and want to be able to see the screen with ease, there are better options available.

He said Sony was on top of current technology and connectivity and he was right. The ease of connecting with CarPlay and use of voice commands is excellent. It connects instantly with whomever uses the car (and of course has previously connected.
