      Hi Zeitgeist305,

Thank you for choosing and purchasing our X900H Ultra HD Smart TV. This is definitely not the news that we would like to hear. Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience.

The LED will light up or blink when the TV detects certain activities or changes status, such as receiving the signal of the remote or during a software update. It may also light up or blink when detecting an issue. Here's an article on how to resolve your issue.

75" TV X900H Model Review and Calibration Settings

This TV is incredible and displays clear HDR content with great blacks when viewing movies or TV Shows. It is a fantastic value as I bought the 75" model for $1600. The LG OLED 65" inch is $1800 but I prefer the largest screen size for a cinematic experience. Also, you don't have to worry about Burn-in which is a worrying factor in OLEDs. It has two HDMI 2.1 Ports (HDMI 3 and 4) that allow for 4K 120Hz gameplay with next-gen consoles. VRR is coming on a future update. This works great on my PC but I cannot speak for the next gen consoles. For best settings, I recommend going to rtings.com to calibrate your screen and then increase your color saturation to 60 or 65 depending on your preference. Then increase black levels to high to take full advantage of its local dimming capabilities and you'll come somewhat close to an OLED experience especially with Dolby Vision content. At the very least, I would easily choose this over the Samsung Q80T for the Dolby Vision capabilities and the cheaper price.

Awesome TV all around. I usually watch lots of movies and also play video games, and this Sony X900H brings a good balance of tech for both. 4K UHD Blu-ray movies look crazy awesome whether you're watching it in HDR or Dolby Vision, not to mention it's PS5-ready for games that support 4K at a 120hz refresh rate upon updating the TV's firmware. The sound quality is also very, very good. This TV can get loud while maintaining excellent clarity and providing superb bass. I'm enjoying this TV so far for not only having amazing picture quality for both movies and games, but for being highly customizable in settings, and providing a simple, silky smooth interface. If I had to complain about anything regarding this TV, it would have to be the stands. They're so big and far apart that it required me to purchase a bigger table-top stand just to accommodate it's size. Unless you're wall-mounting, check the measurements of the TV, including the leg stands, along with with your own home furniture's measurements very carefully to ensure you have the space before buying. Otherwise, highly, highly recommended.

This is the first TV i have purchased in a long time, and I don't plan on replacing it for at least a decade, if not two. So it had to be the best I could afford. I don't use google assistant, don't give a rat's behind about how well it integrates with AppleTV, etc. I wanted the best picture, 120 refresh rate, and a full array screen. When I saw this at Best Buy, I was amazed at the picture, color, and clarity. There is zero ghosting when watching football or auto racing. Being able to watch YouTube, HBO, and Amazon Prime without hooking up my laptop is very convenient. Call of Duty never looked so good-even with my crappy old eyes, I can pick out the little punks who camp and snipe. It switches between input sources quickly, was easy to set up with my sound bar, and so far has been incredible. The remote runs my Dish stuff, so there is less clutter. I watch tutorials on YouTube, and the detail I see here versus my laptop or phone makes a huge difference. I expect this to meet my needs for as long as it last, and being a Sony, I expect that to be many, many years.

Picture quality is amazing. There are a few bugs to the software. I have to around once a week reboot the tv because something freezes. It is very easy to do by holding the power button down on the remote. (much easier than unplugging and replugging). I like a lot of the apps that are available, but even though some models say they can output both headphones and a second source this does not work. I have tried because I wanted to have bluetooth out to a different room speaker and I could get that to work but not with my soundbar at the same time. Also digital output does not seem to work either. I can get the hdmi output sound to the soundbar but the optical out would never send any signal. While I wanted to be able to do this and possibly that would have also fixed the dual output issue it would never work. Even with those small issues the tv is great and looks amazing.

Upgrading from a non-4K 47" and this thing is huge! Pictures are bright and clear. The images are just amazing! I have no issues with connectivity and the TV itself was easy to set up. The supplied controller, while basic, is intuitive and fits my needs well. We only use it for streaming, basic cable, and the PS5. My only issue with this TV is setting it up for the PS5. It isn't worth taking a star away, but was VERY annoying. For as much as Sony likes to say this is PS5 ready, I had to do a lot of trouble shooting to get it to work right. The update went well to get HDMI 2.1 functionality. The issue was getting audio and video to output properly. My only tip, once you get all the settings right on the TV, is to RESTART the TV. All said and done, and for how long I've had it, this is an awesome TV and well worth the money!

I wanted the most reliable future proof 4K (2020) LED TV that could handle mixed content which includes next gen console gaming, pc gaming, sd & hd movies/shows and Youtube videos. Did a ton of research before finally deciding on the X900H. The picture looks gorgeous right out of the box. The Android OS is smooth and responsive. I wish the legs were a few inches closer to the center, otherwise I would have gotten the 85 inch version instead. This is just a short impression, since we have had the TV for a few days and HDMI 2.1 goodness still needs to added with a future firmware. Overall, from what we have experienced so far, this is terrific TV that has all the bells and whistle that any person would need.

2 Years in and I couldn't be more pleased! Everything about this TV has been great, but it could use a bit more memory. Once you load in about 10-15 apps, it starts to slow down. But the picture, sound, ease of setup, you name it I've been pleased. Yesterday I was watching FOUR football games (25% of screen each) on Youtube TV's new split-screen feature and all four screens were crystal clear and readable. I'd buy another of this class in a heartbeat.

It's great tv although Sony has promised some features that are not available yet (not sure if they will ever be available via upgrade). Anyway those features are not a show stopper to own this nice tv. Very rich colors and you can set the picture brightness and sharpness, etc to your own taste. Great for gaming and movies. People are saying that they are experiencing some blur when they are gaming at 120 fps, personally I use it with Xbox series x running games at 120 fps with no issues at all.

Well, after nine dutiful years my Panasonic plasma (which was our main viewing screen) finally gave up the ghost. Looking to take advantage of the new consoles, (if I can ever find one) the Sony X900H looked to fit all my needs. When finally setup I couldn't believe how bright tvs could be. Coming from a plasma who's screens are inherently darker than LED's this wasn't a shock but dang, I wasn't prepared how much brighter the picture was (definitely not a bad thing) My biggest concern going to an LED was ghosting when playing or watch fast moving objects on screen and luckily so far I haven't been able to detect any problem in that area. The Android OS is responsive, and the X1 proc they use inside makes overall usage speedy and headache free. You have pretty much all the major streaming apps you could ask for, and then some. The picture quality looks great, and I'm finally enjoying 4K gaming/movies in a meaningful for the first time. Heck I've even gone back and replayed some PS4 exclusives and been blown away at how much more immersive the graphics are. I just love HDR and can't live without it now! For what its worth the built in speakers are okay, and if you're just doing general TV watching it'll do the job, but at the end of the day, it just comes down to physics.. small speakers, small sound. If you want to enjoy this screen to it fullest, definitely have AT LEAST a capable sound bar, stereo speakers, or HT hooked up to this beautiful tv. Now, on to some Kaizens for this screen. Sony what's with the Wifi on this set? On first setup everything was fine, but a few days after I kept on getting notifications that the WiFi wasn't connected and that it needed to reconnect. Now before anyone asks... yes, I checked my router, reset my router, made sure the tv has the newest updates, blah blah blah, all the trouble shooting, and still have connection issues. Sony here's the deal.. all my other devices in my house don't have an issue, your TV does. Check out any tech forum that involves this set and you'll find many people having the same issue. So to work around this I just hardwired the tv via ethernet and internet issue gone, but I shouldn't have to be doing that for a tv at this price point. And I mean come on Sony, I can't imagine this issue couldn't be fixed via a firmware update, but then again we're still waiting for the firmware update for VRR... maybe you just need to update your guys updates department? Anyway, with gripes aside I do really enjoy this tv. Fantastic picture, features, and usability. If I could be more precise with the rating I'd give it a 4.75 overall.

I've been holding off upgrading my Panasonic Plasma because LCD tvs are known for having awful black levels. I was debating between this and a 65" LG OLED. I was a bit worried going LCD but I wanted hdmi 2.1 for future-proofing. Well, I'm impressed. It's bright, black levels are great, and I haven't seen any halo-ing. Oh, and it runs Android TV so well I retired my Nvidia shield. Can't speak to speakers because who spends 2 grand on a TV and uses TV speakers?

After buying an 85” X950G a year or so ago, I decided to stick with Sony when it came time to upgrade our bedroom TV. Thanks to Black Friday sales, got this, a mount and a Sony HT-Z9F sound system. So far only a couple of minor problems, hence the 4 stars: 1) The TV and speaker system seem to have connection issues. I read in several places the HT-Z9F has a lot of issues, and the main issue with ours was the sound would suddenly fade or cut out altogether during apps such as Disney+ and so on. I had been using an HDMI cable from TV to speaker, so I instead tried an optical cord. The problem seems to have been solved, but I need to do more testing to see if it’s really been fixed. 2) The Wi-Fi on the TV stops working from time to time, and requires a restart to work again. This is annoying bc it happens perhaps once every few days. I only ever had it happen once or twice in the 2 years or so I’ve had my 85”. Other than these issues, I love the quality, ease of use, and the Android OS is probably the best out of any of the ones in use today. Happy with the TV for sure, just hoping I don’t have to return the sound system.

For more information, please visit https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs-android-/xbr-75x900h/downloads.

We are sorry if you are encountering an audio issue when using your HT-Z9F. We’d like to try to help resolve the audio issue you’re encountering. To start, please ensure your soundbar and wireless speakers are on the latest firmware. You can download the firmware here if you are not able to update from the soundbar itself: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/home-theater-sound-bars-home-theater-systems/ht-z9f/downloads. Once your soundbar is on the latest firmware, double-check all your cables connecting to the soundbar. The HDMI cables should be rated for 18 Gbps speeds or higher. Anything lower may result in an audio drop off. Please ensure your router and modem are also placed away from the soundbar. You can improve the connection of the soundbar by going into the Menu by pressing Home on the soundbar’s remote. Select Settings and scroll to Wireless Speaker Settings. Select the RF Channel and set it to OFF. Then switch it back ON. The connection process should take about 1 full minute. If it resolves in less than 15 seconds, do the procedure again. If you find the soundbar audio still cuts out, try adjusting the frequency the soundbar operates on from the default of Auto to either 5.2 or 5.8 GHz. You will need to do some trial and error to see which frequency and channel band works best in your home.

For your Wi-Fi issue, please try following the steps below to isolate the problem:

      • The Wi-Fi signal strength is weak
      - Place the router close to your TV, then check if the signal strength has improved.
      • Your TV is too close to the router
      - It is recommended that the TV and router be at least 1 meter (3 feet) apart.
      • Other devices are connected to the same network
      - If other devices are downloading large-sized files, such as videos, the network speed may slow down. Cancel or wait until this activity completes and try again.
      • Restart your TV and reset your router
      - To restart your TV, press and hold the POWER button on the remote control for about five seconds until Power off appears on the TV screen.
      - To reset the router, check your router manual for instructions.
      • Interference from other wireless devices
      - If multiple wireless devices or electric equipment, such as microwave ovens, are used at home, it may affect the Wi-Fi performance of your TV. Power off these devices when not in use, or keep them away from your TV.
      - Electromagnetic interference may also occur depending on the location of the TV. If possible, change its location and check if the performance improves.
      • Check the frequency band setting of your router (for dual-band routers)
      - Some routers support multiple frequencies (ex: 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz), if your router supports this feature, try a different frequency.

Great TV! Got the 75' on sale for $1600, so can't complain about the price. I was debating between the x900h or the Samsung q80t. Between the two, it seemed like the Sony checked all of the boxes. The Samsung q80t outperformed the x900h in some categories, but based on reviews the x900h was at least good in every category, whereas the Samsung lacked in a few. The hdmi 2.1 will eventually come into play with the ps5 and Xbox, so that's a big selling point too. Pros : Sick picture, small bezel, Android operating system works great (I'm coming from Roku), controller is simple and easy, and it has all the pictures viewing options you could want. And of course hdmi 2.1. Cons : I have mine on the stand, and it's kinda wobbly if you touch it too hard. It definitely won't fall over unless you push it, and maybe because it's a 75 inch tv, but it wobbles just a tad. Also, the legs are really wide. I had to modify my stand so that it would fit. Overall, don't hesitate to purchase this TV. Sony doesn't have a lot of different models to choose from, and I believe it's because they've concentrated on making the tvs they have competitive with all of the other brands out there

Great picture and easy to use. I read articles saying Sony remote was too complicated, but it is really clean and simple. And voice recognition makes it easy to search streaming services. I have 75" and watch from 12 to 14 feet away; that works fine and give a good price point now compared to even bigger screens.
