easy to use, excellent in low light and in motion, light and easy to carry

This is my first high quality camera that isn't a point and shoot or my iPhone 6. I took the camera out to California and used it for a couple of days and didn't have to charge it once. Photo quality is great. There's a lot of options to use, which can sometimes be overwhelming for a beginner. The Panorama mode is a little hard to use, I had trouble keeping the right speed swiping the camera left to right, but that may just be due to my impatience. Overall I love the camera and I'm happy I bought it.

this camera is very good for who wants to buy entry level DSLR camera. it's light weight and less expensive.

pros: quality of photos, for cost; lightweight, small design allows me to carry in purse or pocket; wireless technology; cons: initial setup of wireless to computer; cost of additional lenses; still haven't figured out how to change picture modes easily, while out taking pictures.

Very compact and still delivers most functions desired out of a dSLR. Of course it probably doesn't have some more advanced features and especially given this is the base Sony Alpha series model. For instance, continuous shooting is much lower at 3-4 fps, but honestly, as a novice looking for something better than a point and shoot or an iPhone, the shoot speed is extremely fast and even the continuous shoot speed is great and still delivers excellent quality. As mentioned before, very compact. One thing missing though is perhaps buying another lens cap. If I had a rear lens cap for the sensor and for the starter 16-50 lens, I literally could fit this in my pocket, and then quickly assemble as needed. As it stands though (I purchased the holiday bundle) there is only one rear cap for the 55-210 lens. I'm a novice level handler, but I'm extremely happy with the purchase. Especially given the bundle price $450 for base, 2 lens, and bag. Woot!

Bought this camera in the holiday sale season and have taken it out to Disneyland on a couple of occasions. It's a fantastic little camera. The kit lens isn't super fast but it's good enough to use in well-lit outdoor conditions, and the 50mm zoom is sufficient. I am waiting for a sale to pick up one of Sony's faster prime lenses.
