It's says streaming but only a few that were useful. It takes a little time to get to the menu when you first turn it on.

I got this on sale, and it had a lot more features than models priced higher. You just have to watch out for models that don't have an Ethernet port. This one HAS it, so that was a plus. The remote is pretty good, also. It can be programmed for my TV and I have an older Westinghouse. It just took a little fooling with to get it right. I use it mainly for Amazon Prime video, but it's great for Blu Ray disks. It's nice and pretty small, too.

I really wish it was possible to give this combination Blu-Ray/DVD player and wireless streaming box a 4.5 rather than a 4 star rating. My experience so far (I've had it for almost a month-and-a-half) with Blu-Ray and DVD playback and streaming has been uniformly positive. It's handled both my home-recorded DVDs and the ones I've bought from specialty houses like Sinister Cinema without a hiccup. Of course Blu-Ray is a noticeable improvement in picture quality, but even DVDs look great. Wireless setup couldn't have been easier. And since we already have a Netflix account, the dedicated button on the remote is a handy feature. As far as streaming is concerned, I've had no issues at all there. (Of course, we do have a fast broadband connection.) YouTube streaming is flawless and wonderfully responsive in contrast to the slow, halting, freezing-and-error-prone Roku 2 interface. Really, my only complaint -- and the reason I gave this 4 instead of 5 stars -- is that the streaming channel (they call them apps) selection from Sony is kind of limited, compared to my Roku box. It does have the most popular subscription services, like Netflix and HuluPlus, as well as a fair variety of other channels, some subscription and some free. Youtube and a handful of others are pre-selected, although really, Sony, Opera TV is one of the default apps? I've nothing at all against opera, but it seems kind of an odd choice, to say the least. But I wish it also had services like HBOGo, and FilmStruck. If it did, I'd unplug the Roku and use this for all my streaming. Other pros are the small profile, and the ability to program the remote to turn off your TV.

Overall this is a solid performing product. Picture quality is strong and I especially love its small size. I was concerned that it would do a poor job on regular DVDs but on that media it is also very good. YouTube can be spotty at times. Videos keep loading but won't play. It was the same on my old player so although disappointing I am used to it. I use my tablet instead. HuluPlus, Netflix, and Tubia all work well. Solid performer at an excellent price. I see no reason to pay more.

Purchased this player and it was so easy to install. My old Samsung player finally died. I have tested out the streaming on NETFLEX without any problems/worked great. It is preloaded with different apps. I even tried a very old DVD that my other players would not read and this one read it flawlessly. For the money this is a great little player. It is also very small compared to others I have had.

Blue Ray plays well and was easy to set up. No issues with connecting to WiFi. We have decent internet but not great by any means. Only downfall so far is if the kids loose the remote as it’s the only way to use the machine.

This blu-ray player is a very basic and compact player. Works great with great picture in my kids bedroom. Very simply to setup, pretty much plug and play. I didn't necessarily need the wi-fi added to it as my TV is a smart tv and I have the same apps on that, but still a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend for someone who just wants a simple blu-ray player

This is the second Sony player we purchased The first still working is 6 yrs old. This unit is Very compact but is easily set up and performs well. Mainly is used for wireless streaming (Netflix) but I have watched Blu- ray and DVDs. Remote is easy to use. Only problem I have is trying to program favorites such as Pandora. Have used this unit almost daily for one month and am very pleased.

I have an old 14" Dynex TV/DVD combo which I love and am stuck on keeping. It was built for quality and has such an amazing picture, I do not want to give it up. After all these years, the DVD player eventually stopped working and I was faced with the idea of buying something new. I actually do not watch TV except to play a DVD virtual fireplace every evening, so I need the player. : ) I was really hoping to avoid buying an external player because I like to keep my living space clutter free, but quality combo players are pretty much extinct at this point so a separate player was the only solution if I wanted to keep my Dynex. I shop at Best Buy for all of my electronics and the Sony Blu-ray player received such great reviews and had a compact design, it caught my attention right away. The built in Wi-Fi and streaming capabilities also interested me. It's been over a month since I made my purchase and I have played my fireplace DVD every evening on continuous play for hours. It works perfectly and I love it. The HDMI cable is not included so you need to purchase it separately. I bought the Dynex 6' cable which pops up as a suggested item on Best Buy site. Just plug in and you are ready to go .... it was that simple to set up.

I bought this Sony - BDP-S3700 blu ray player specifically for the bedroom, as I have the Oppo 203 (the blu ray best player IMHO) in my home theter set up. So, since it was for the bedroom, and used lightly, I did not need something like my Oppo 203 player. Just something basic that would play blu ray movies. I don't stream from this player, so I can't comment on that feature. But it does have many ( over 300 according to Sony) streaming links per installed on it such as Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and Amazon Video to name a few. Other features are : Wi-Fi, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD, DLNA which allows you to share multimedia content across all supported devices in your home, fast boot up. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi is only 2.4 GHz. While that may be fine for things like updates for the player, it may not be enough bandwidth to stream HD material in 1080p. As mentioned earlier, I do not have this player hooked up to Wi-Fi currently. If I do hook it up, I will update my review. Overall this is a very good entry level Blu ray player. very easy to set up when you initially hook up everything. The menus are clear and easy to understand and navigate. The picture it produces from 1080p blu rays is very good. You really can't go wrong with getting this player.

I bought this on a Black Friday deal and couldn't be happier with the purchase. It's really compact w/great features. The one thing that I found added the most value for me were all the apps included. Before I found this, I thought I would need to get a blu ray and a streaming device for all my entertainment, but to my surprise this came with everything I used Roku for, so it was like getting two products in one.

Very pleased with performance of this Sony product. Easy to use and crisp picture quality. For a reasonable price this unit meets all my expectations.

Unit is tiny compared to any of the older DVD players, so now we have plenty of room on the shelf that used to be covered by the older unit. Picture is crystal clear and sound is excellent. Set-up was fast and easy - trouble-free and completed in about 10 mins. Player is a "smart" player that allows (with internet) connectivity to various sites/providers of additional content (usually with fees) and, overall, can't beat the price or the features. Extremely happy with our purchase.

This player plays DVDs just fine, although I haven't tried any BluRay DVDs yet. I actually purchased this to show vacation pictures (JPEG) on my TV and there were a couple of disappointments. First of all, I found out that Sony does not endorse the use of a portable (non-self powered) hard drive with the use of their front-mounted USB port. Playing pictures stored on a thumb drive is fine, though. Secondly, the player does not recognize more than 500 pictures stored in any one folder so you will not be able to put all of your vacation photos in one continuous slide show if there are more than that amount. Thirdly, whenever you use an album of MP3 music as a background, if you leave the slideshow to view a relevant MP4 video stored on the thumb drive or if you change folders to a different group of photos, then the music always starts over again beginning with track 1 instead of just continuing through the rest of the album. You might be hearing track 1 quite a bit if you do some jumping around in the menu. All in all, though, there are a lot of great features in this device and I am happy to have it since the streaming option gives me Netflix and YouTube. It currently looks like Amazon and Google are having a fight and Google is pulling YouTube support from the Amazon Fire Stick which I had been using with my main TV. Fortunately I can maintain the YouTube app using the Sony but unfortunately I lost my PBS app that had been on the Fire Stick.

Blu-ray player is very easy to use and the quality is excellent. I actually went back to buy another player for someone else because I liked it so much. The Blu-ray player allows you to play Pandora which is also nice feature. The player also allows to to upscale if your DVD is not a Blu-ray. You can't beat the price and I'm very happy with this purchase.

This Sony - BDP-S3700 - Streaming Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player works great. It is a basic Streaming Blu-ray Player that has worked perfectly as a Blu-ray Player and for Streaming. The hook up and connecting to the Internet was so easy and quick I thought I had missed something. I have been streaming with a Roku unit for years and needed to replace as it was starting to show it's age. Never had a Blu-ray Player and decided for about the same price as a new Roku I could upgrade to this unit. It has a good selection of places to stream from (Netflix, Amazon, etc.). I do miss PBS and PBS Kids, but that is no great deal. Maybe in the future. Great unit at a great price that was easy to hook up and use. Again it has worked perfect. The unit is nice looking and compact.

I was replacing an older unit that stopped working. This model does everything we need, at a very reasonable price. There were several other models that were much more expensive. I can't speak for the features of the pricier units, but if you want to watch DVDs, and stream Netflix, this model is perfect for that.

This BD player is tiny and I like that. It's about 9" wide and a bit over 7" deep so it will fit just about anywhere. I was able to connect this BD player to an older Vizio TV and immediately use it to watch Netflix. I bought this same BD player for the front room and it connected to my 5 GHz WiFi network without any issues. A cheaply priced, but quality, BD player that simply works. If you require UHD 4K look elsewhere but for standard HD 1080P content there is no reason to spend more or buy another BD player. This Sony fits the bill perfectly.

This one works the best so far with my Nighthawk RAX 45 router. I have tried many and they had issues with streaming video. Very laggy. This one is very quick. Audio signal quality while streaming is much better too… even compared to the BDP-BX370. I’ve tested and used dozens of these on the same home theatre setup. This is clear budget winner.

Great bargain on this Blu-Ray. Easy peasy to set up. Even plays DVDs sharper. Remote is straightforward and simple to use. Have not used WiFi or streaming features. Make sure you buy an HDMI cable separately as it does not come with one. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
