I bought this headset to listen to music at my desk without having a wire draping across my work space. I like that you can use any headphones (in addition to those included) and how simple it was to pair compared to older BT headsets I've owned. The range and clarity is better also. The start stop button works with my iphone, but the volume control is only for the headset.

I use it mostly for workout and while I clean around. I love the freedom it provides. I can leave my phone anywhere in my house and still be connected.

If youre buying it for mostly phone calls, its fine. Great price. If youre lostenibg to music most of the time and you care about the sound of the music, keep searching. The volume of it is fine but the quality is surprising that its made by Sony.

I was surprised to find out how clean the sound is coming out of the ear buds.

So, you're out looking for a Bluetooth headset, maybe you dont really use it for your Phone, but you have a newer iPod with Bluetooth and you Constantly listen to books on tape. That's me and this device is perfect, easy to use and great quality. Who thought the bluetooth headset could be improved? SONY, that's who.
