I have had a lot of Bluetooth speakers. This is a very unique one in that it has a built in FM radio so you can listen to music without getting your phone wet. Also has 4 cup holders on top which has already been a hit at the pool. Looking forward to taking this to the beach. Cons are that the extra bass can drain the batter faster but it sounds so much better. Also wish you can buy them in a set for stereo sound but that would be another $250.

DOA. Wouldn't do anything beyond Demo mode, battery wouldn't charge, nor would it stay powered up if power was removed. Immediately returned to the store.

The item was returned due to poor performance; very low volume and difficult to function. Would not recommend to others.

First, the sound is great. Full and rich and gets loud if you want it to. Easy to connect to phones or other devices. Second, the outside design is fantastic! Using the top as a drink holder or little table is a nice add on. Really like this speaker and would recommend it.

So this is a really awesome concept... Large speaker, big battery, and a spot for your drink... perfect for the tailgater, park goer, camp, outdoor person. Pro's: Easy to setup, and multiple connections types. Solid construction, long life battery with minimal weight. FM Receiver, when you can't use a digital device A really neat feature, is the flip out top... that is a water-resistant table top with 4 cup holders, and a space for other items. nice touch and neat addition Con's: Doesn't get as loud as other speakers of the same size, Karaokee feature is just not necessary. Has spots to grip the speaker, but no good handle. FM Tuner doesn't support HD-Audio, so you can get sub-channels (aka, some AM stations rebroadcast on FM-HD Substations, and would be great to receive). FM Antenna is metal and can easily be broken.

First impression was I thought this was waterproof, but it's not. It is well built and should handle a spilled drink as long as it doesn't get in the tweeters. The sides are particle board and need to be kept dry. The design however is awesome. It has a 7" woofer and two tweeters that sound pretty good. If you like your music with lots of bass, the unit has the mega bass feature and you will notice the difference immediately. I had no problem streaming music from my phone, iheartradio and tunein at full volume with mega bass on or off. There may bit just a bit of distortion, but outside or turning the volume down a bit makes that go away. Besides, this unit is loud enough at full volume that I imagine a few neighbors will complain. The unit has fm capabilities with an antenna on the back. It's a retractable unit like on an old transistor radio, but it works great. I was able to pull in my local stations. It also has a USB port, 1/4 inch jack, RCA input and bluetooth. You can use the 1/4 inch jack for a microphone, allowing for speeches or karaoke. By far the best thing about this speaker is the battery. The unit shipped with about 70% charge. I plugged it in and played with it for just a short while and it was fully charged when I checked. With a full charge, Sony claims it will play for 13 hours, depending on the chosen volume. The table top wings are a nice bonus. You can fold them out and have 4 cup holders. Just watch out for spills as the speakers aren't waterproof. Also make sure it's placed where no one will try and sit on it. Folded out the wings aim the tweeters upward and folded in they shoot straight ahead. Also when the wings are folded in, they lock in place with clips and create handles on both sides for easy moving. The unit is fairly light, just a bit awkward to carry. The handles fix that. Lastly, the unit uses Sony's Music Center app. The app has Sony's Fiestable app allowing you to control the unit from your phone as well as using voice commands for a touch free experience. The app has iheartradio and tunein available with a push of a button. Overall I think this is going to be a great speaker for outside activities this spring and summer as well as tailgating should the opportunity arise.

Sony is all about partying apparently, because a lot of their products are geared towards folks out and about while enjoying the sights and sounds of life using their products. The PG10 Portable Bluetooth Outdoor Speaker is a great example of this, where Sony not only built an excellent outdoor BT speaker, but also something that blends seamlessly into American lifestyle. Here's what you'll love about this product: 1) Cool design without being bulky or heavy. Its well-built and portable with purpose built handles and isn't any heavier than a 12" outdoor speaker you might have used in the past anyways. Its very sturdy with handles and rubberized buttons and console to withstand the outdoors and some moisture. Sony doesn't guarantee IP67 waterproofing but it holds up well. There's also built-in cupholders on this thing to hold your drinks!!! 2) Connectivity options galore. It has an FM tuner which makes it amazing for tailgates so you can tune into the game while you are in the lot having a cold beer or two. It also has BT that allows you to connect up to 3 different sources. It also has a USB direct connection that allows you to play music directly from your phone or USB device and also charge up! 3) Sound is EXCELLENT. Puts out a ton of sound as you would expect from a Sony product and opening the handles actually sends the tweeter sound even further out which is a cool touch. 4) Battery powered!!! Yes, you can take this thing fully mobile with 10-13 hours of playtime depending on volume. That is AWESOME. What prevents it from being perfect? Well there's a few things 1) It doesn't have Wi-Fi connectivity or support streaming services/apps directly. That would be a HUGE boost to this product to allow for streaming or network connectivity. You can still connect with your phone and then stream to Bluetooth, but native connectivity would be awesome. 2) No Alexa or google voice support. C'mon Sony, we KNOW you can do this since my excellent Sony HM-1000XM3 support Alexa. Can you stop feuding with Amazon and just give your customers what you want? This would be amazing if we could use this as an outdoor Alexa extender. Overall this PG10 is a rare out of the box risk from Sony that does extremely well in terms of execution. I can't wait to use this thing at pretty much any outdoor event. We go to Beer Farms/Gardens a lot so this would be perfect, not to mention I use it on my deck every day since its gotten warmer now. Great product, you won't be disappointed, hopefully the next version incorporates Wi-Fi and Alexa!

I have used the Sony PG10 on a week long camping trip where I have had the chance to really put this speaker through its paces. During most of the week I kept the speaker plugged into electric, but for 1 full day I used the PG10 on battery power and charged up my S9+ while streaming blue-tooth and never ran out of power. The Sony PG10 also has some nice features you don't find in many blue-tooth speakers on the market. The speaker has "wings" that fold out providing cup holders for those outdoor get-togethers. The 2 tweeters are located in these fold out trays and when in their out position, the sound profile is changed to be more spacious. With the trays folded in, the tweeters sit directly above the single woofer creating a more centered sound stage. One thing I noticed is at low volume, which we had to keep in the campground, I prefer the sound with the trays folded in. To my ears, at low volume with the tweeters folded out, the highs overshadowed the woofer. Once the volume was increased, the speaker really shined with the tweeters expanded. The app that sony uses to control this speaker adds a lot more adjustability to the speaker and you can add whatever streaming service you enjoy and select that service to blue-tooth to the speaker. There are also different preset sound fields that can be selected through the app. The PG10 also has a built in FM tuner to pick up your favorite local stations. I really enjoy the sound from this larger speaker, compared to the various small blue-tooth speakers I have, and for larger areas, there really isn't any comparison on sound output and quality. If you are looking for a very nice speaker to fill larger spaces with high quality audio, the PG10 is really worth looking at. I would recommend this speaker.

This is a great Sony Bluetooth speaker sounds perfect and it gets very loud and good base

This speaker has a great number of features with good overall sound quality. The battery life of approximately 12 hours for a speaker of its size is excellent. The cup holder feature is a good one, especially for relaxing outside, however the sound quality does drop when the top is extended open.

This speaker is great! my favorite part about it is the cupholders!
