Super clean sound, Excellent power bass, clean clarity, makes movies and shows really demand attention. This is my third sound bar, and it is excellent, we paired it with a Sony TV (a larger 950G) and they deliver all the Home theatre we could want, above and beyond. Really excellent, and VERY easy to set up!

The Little Sound Bar that COULD!

The HTZ9F is a great soundi g bar at $MSRP. Even better at half that. And if your have the BestBuy Tech membership, you get a two year warranty. For 2018 tech it works better than my other newer more expensive sound bar. 4k/60 features work great for any non-2.1 hdmi tvs. EARC works great. An on screen menu, wifi and bluetooth to boot. Even a small selection of music steaming apps. Add in the ability to hard wire your sub (any powered sub with an input) and the ability to add L&R surrounds (SAZ9R open box too) or a small 2 channel amp for the surrounds and any rear speakers you like. This works really well and is documented on the internet. On its own this bar sounds like a very nice 3.1 setup. The bar is only 40 inches wide or so, but the channel separation is still pretty good. Surround effects are passible. Voices have nice timbre. The sound is extemely rich and clear. The sub is ok, but adding a better sub, takes this to the next level. A better sub really filles in the lower mids. Adding rear surrounds really brings alot to the atmos and surround experience. Makes the virtual over head sounds much more believable. It really competes well with separates in this configuration. If you are looking for a handsome, great sounding bar, with room to add upgrades on your terms, you have come to the right spot.

Immersive 360 Audio Experience

I also added the rear speakers to get the full dolby atmos and dts-x sound effect. I played the Saving Private Ryan movie and wow the sound is so immersive, In the Omaha beach scene in “ Saving Private Ryan” I can hear the rpg rockets, bullets and grenades flying all over top of the ceiling. The sound travels from behind me going to front and vice versa and side to side. If you like dolby atmos and dts-x get this soundbar and try it for yourself.

I was skeptical at first due to the size of the subwoofer and that it is wireless. But after connecting it to my Sony TV, I was blown away by the quality of the sound. We have a theatre room with a full 7.1 setup and projector and this is for a TV in our living room, but I am thinking we will be using this one more now!

The bass is incredible and set up is a breeze. I will be adding the rears soon as well. I can’t imagine a sound bar being better than this!

I like the quality of the sound and the build quality. I watch most of my TV via Apple TV 4K or 4K BluRay. Adding this sound bar made a major difference in our moving watching experience. I noticed once I connected my Apple TV 4K directly into Sony Soundbar, that I’m not able to watch HDR content, only 4K SDR. I’m sure this is a setting on the Soundbar, that I have not found yet. I would recommend this product to any who is looking to improve there over all TV/Film experience.

Subwoofer volume only goes to 12

Sounds great and has a lot of extra features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from the HTX9000F to this soundbar and you can definitely tell a difference in this one as well as being compatible with the wireless rear speakers for a more accurate surround sound effect. It sound great and was easy to setup and use extra features right away. The only thing i dont like is more of a personal preference where the display is behind the speaker grate so it is odd looking shinning through the tiny holes in the speaker cover. The cover is optional and magnetically attached so I didnt take a star away for it since they do give you an option for both ways. I think it looks better overall with the cover even though i dont like how the display looks. Its either not liking the tiny 2 in display or not liking the entire front of the soundbar. Again, this is just my personal preference and doesnt impact sound or quality of the soundbar.
