An excellent companion to the Sony A6000 for a photographer who takes a lot of macro shots as well as short range zoom shots. Excellent Zeiss glass!

I got this lens a month ago and took it for a trip to Spain along with my nex 6. The sharpness and colors I got from this lens were unbelievable. I have the 18-200 e mount and I have used it for two years, while I love the reach of that lens the IQ of this lens blows away the 18-200 by miles. Unfortunately I cannot afford both lenses so am going to sell the 18-200 and just keep the 16-70. I rather have very sharp pictures and compromise on zoom. The 16-70 was adequate for 90% of my Spain trip pics and with the constant f4 I was able to crop many pictures where the bigger zoom would have helped.

I truly love this lens, takes crisp photos. Constant f4 aperture is great. Fast and smooth focusing, completely quiet. Build quality is very good, smooth zoom and focusing rings. This lens is on my a6000 90% of the time. I would wait for the occasional sale, I picked this up for $799 on sale, great deal for this lens. This is a great piece in such a small package, very well balanced on any sony mirror less system.

Wanted a really nice zoom for my compact a6000. This is it. Have taken some very nice pics so far.

This is what I use for most shots when I travel. I would not recommend for portraits, wildlife. I use it for landscapes, cityscapes, casual photos when i travel

Very expensive, but it worth every dólar. The images are really sharp. Landscape and also portraits are a 10/10

Initially was hesitant to purchase the lens considering the price and reviews about some of the pieces having manufacturing defects. My copy is very good and gives amazing sharp images. Have not tried other sony similar lens , so can't compare it with other Sony lens.

Huge improvement overal compared to the kit lens. Colors are much better and the consistency across the focal range is a game changer. The focal range is actually great, the addition from 50mm to 70mm makes a lot of difference over the kit lens and we now keep this lens 90% of the time. I feel it upgraded our beloved Sony A-6000 to a whole other level.

Excellent camera lens takes really great pictures the images comes out very clear and pretty

This makes an excellent travel lens for the A7rii. It ends up being a 24-105mm and the combined weight and size are very appealing. The resulting images are 18mp, which is plenty for most applications.

Paired with my a6300, this lens is awesome. Well worth the price.

I used this lens on Sony A6500. The 16-70 zoom range is perfect with constant F4. It produces good image. Of course, if I need better picture, I will use prime lens instead.

Bought open box, excellent condition but the serial number on the body was not matching the serial on the box packaging and the certificate of authenticity from Zeiss also had a different serial numbers. 3 different serial numbers!

Good image quality, but I got a bad copy and a bit pricey. Ended up getting the 18-105 Sony g

I hike with this as my "one lens," with the 16mm (24mm equivalent on my Sony a6000 APS-C sensor) working well for most landscapes, though occasionally I wish for wider; the 70mm end of the zoom and everything in between are great for framing and closeups. It has an excellent bokeh compared to the kit lens (16-50mm) that came with the camera, very smooth background blur with the shape and number of diaphragm blades.
