Sound is great, fit just right in my ears no matter what I'm doing never come off from my ears there are very secure ,the charge last longer than others known brands, my 4 stars is because the number of apps sony recommends for use & enjoy this earbuds also is a little complicated to set up & zinc with the app the first time and last, the lack of base. Other than that I love them

I haven't used a lot of other wireless earbuds so this could be somewhat biased but I think these sound and look incredible! The charging case is also small but efficient, and I only have to charge it maybe every week after using them for around 1-3 hours every day. They fit in my ear perfectly and come with multiple different sized ear-tips if the default ones don't work for you.

I'm a semi truck driver. I'm in and out the truck making deliveries and I'm in the road 10-12hrs/day and these last me the entire time, stay in comfortably AND I can hear and be heard while driving! Now I have 9 pairs of earbuds ranging in price from $40 - $300 but these are quickly becoming my go - to's! No 'ambient mode' or 'ANC' bells & whistles but they block out receiver background noise fantastically! They're just good solid buds. They stay in well, sound is very good (natural sounding, a tad lacking in bass but you can use the equalizer in the app) the build quality is solid, the case is small and tough and they last 10+hrs and I wore them in the shower to tear them and they stayed in and performed just fine
The only cons, is sometimes in my Samsung tablet I have to connect one bud THEN the other one. Weird. On my Samsung phone it's fine. Also, I wish the app told me how much battery the case has like it does with my other Sony earbuds and earphones. They don't. But these are minor details and for the $70 I paid they were well worth the price. Even at $99 they're a good buy!

These earphones feel nice and comfortable. The sound quality is good, nothing to complain about. I had these earphones for over a year and they still work great. Now the magnets on the earphones take a second to charge but they still work.

For the past 3-4 years I've been purchasing my in-ear earbuds from Amazon. (Shamazon is what I really call them :-) Anyway, the last couple of pairs I've bought were rather disappointing, even though I had previous models from the same bran/manufacturer that worked quite well. The Bose Quiet Comfort OTE's are still working after, IDK almost 7-8 years and I purchased them from BB, so back to BB I went. Even though I think they went FT (Tropic Thunder) during Covid, and I am super concerned like other Brick and Mortar stores, they are hurting. So I went to the store. I had a few earbuds that I had my eyes on. I had an excellent experience with an under $50 pair of JL labs. Particularly the battery life was outstanding, however the left earbud decided to stop working after I drove my truck over it. I know right, they just don't make things like they used to! (lol) but the right ear bud seemed to last longer than my Amazon earbuds, both L and R put together! However, what I believe is a lack of in-store traffic, my local BB didn't have that model of JLABs. I did for a moment consider Google's earbuds, but I figured with Alexa listening to her owners 24/7, their earbuds are likely doing the same thing. It's not paranoid, if they really are listening to you, and I promise you, they really are. So I took a look JBL which I've had their home theater speakers in the past and was satisfied, but their $99 earbuds had less than stellar reviews, so I passed. I considered the Bose Sport buds, but they were this horrible tealish color and I just couldn't roll that way. I also didn't want to spend over $120ish bucks, preferably less than $100. (in case I decide to drive over one accidentally)
Finally I settled on these Sony WF-C500 earbuds. The reviews were pretty solid and consistent. I'm also aware of the longivity of the brand name and their presence in the electronics market for a boatload of years. Unfortunately, they didn't have these earbuds in the local store and when I tried to buy them using the BB app, that was an epic fail (and the app locked up about 4 times in the store, totally unsat). So, to the counter I went, and the super nice BB associate checked me out in a jiffy. The earbuds were scheduled to arrive the following Thursday, (I bought them Monday evening) and they arrived Wednesday, a day early. Now what I like about these earbuds, but first what I am not a huge fan of.
- They are a little larger than I prefer, however, if the size is related to their battery life, I'm totally ok with that.
What I like (Not in any order except how I'm thinking about them.)
1. Battery life is outstanding. (I mean really outstanding)
2. The case has very postive magnetic keepers for charging the earbuds, I feel like sometimes the case almost pulls the earbud out of my fingers and locks in place for charging.
3. The app is pretty decent in terms of equalizer settings and also providing relevant info on battery charge. I haven't found the battery level of the case yet, but it might be there or might not.
4. The case to me, isn't as flimsy as some reviewers noted. Granted it's not an iron vault, but it stays secure, the lid closes very securely, and it provides some LED charging lights by color that can give you a reference for where it's at charging-wise. I like that.
5. It uses USB-C, which I'm a fan of.
6. The sound quality. I mostly listen to audio books, but after a day or so I ran though some of my favorite tunes which are pretty varied (Oakenfold to Cash and in between) and I was pleased and satisifed with the sound.
7. They stay in my ear without hurting my ears even when I'm out working in the yard or working out and all sweatified.
I would highly recommend these for the price point. I believe you will get your money's worth and not be disappointed.

I had been researching true wireless earbuds for a few weeks. I was leaning toward the new Yamaha TW-E3B's, which were released at the end of October. However, there are still no reviews online. I literally stumbled across the WF-C500's on Best Buy's web site -- I'm not sure how I missed them before.
After reading the reviews on Best Buy's web site and then some others on reputable audio sites, it was an easy to buy the WF-C500's on sale at $78. I did not want active noise cancellation, and I only need minimal splash protection. I could easily spend $250 if I thought that was necessary to meet my requirements: Above-average sound quality, a comfortable fit, and long life on a single charge. I've had these Sony earbuds for a week now, and they absolutely do not disappoint!
Reasons to buy:
- Great sound and an impressive app for fine tuning, if desired
- Supremely comfortable and stay in place even when active
- Long life on a single charge
Reasons you may want to keep looking:
- No active noise cancellation (although sound isolation is good)
- Case only provides 10 additional hours of charge
- Button controls do the basics but aren't intuitive

Excellent sound quality, puts out a good bass as well and fairly reasonably priced. But....this could just be me, it keeps sliding out of my right ear for some reason. May be this is due to sweat as I wear when I run on the treadmill. Secondly these headphones WILL NOT PAIR with more than 1 device. This is such a led down. It pairs like magic on the first device, my phone, but cannot pair with my laptop.

I like these Sony buds. They pair easily and sound good with my Samsung phone and Samsung laptop. Poor volume with my Samsung smart TV, however. Watching my Samsung TV with these Sony buds requires an unacceptable level of concentration due to low maximum loudness, unlike listening to the same TV with my Samsung Galaxy earbuds. I would probably not buy the Sony buds again only for that reason. Young ears may not share this problem with my old ears. Just sayin'.

Excellent sound quality and the fit is better than most earbuds I have had.
My biggest issue with these is the buttons. You cannot change what the buttons do so if you prefer wearing the left earbud, you will not be able to skip tracks without taking out your device.
If Sony made an update for these where we could at least swap what the buttons do, these would be fine. Other earbuds in this price range allow for button customization.

These are still going great a year after buying. Noise cancelling is great! Didn't realize I was blowing the horn while I was cleaning my car out wearing these. Also, the battery lasts a long time. They stay in my ears and have good sound quality. Never had any problem with bluetooth connection.
